Reversing dryer door on a Samsung Dryer

- In this video, I will show you how to reverse the open swing of a Samsung dryer from right to left.
Tools you need:
- 8mm socket wrench
- Phillips screw driver
- Rag (to rest the door)

Good that you mentioned stripping the screw threads if you use an impact driver. Those screws have thread-lock on them which makes them hard to turn. When I hung the door on my dryer I didn't get the screws tight at first and noticed the next day. So, I tightened them with my impact driver. Now they're almost stripped.
They're stainless steel screws which strips more easily than the steel they are screwed into, which is a good thing. I may have to replace them soon.

Thanks so much! I was worried about taking the cover off and was happy to see you do that. My biggest problem was the the other side for the hinges where the screws went back in, after the reversal. It was hard but I managed! Kudos to your assistant 😊

Just a heads up on the part where the video skips during the separation of the metal inner door and the plastic outer door. There are four tabs in the plastic outer door panel (two at top and two at bottom). Just pry a bit near each one and the door panels separate easily. It will drive you batty at first. Once done, though, the rest is a piece of cake. Also, I used a ratchet to remove the hinge screws. Shouldn’t need it for reinstalling.

The part I needed to take the panel off you skipped over 😔
Yes, separating the front and back of the door was challenging, and I also wished he had warned us. I got them apart by slowly prying them with a flathead screwdriver. There are a couple of latches that have to be pried apart at the top, but it has to be slowly pried all the way around carefully to not bend it.
Will this process effect the light inside the dryer?

There's a "refrigerator light" switch button at the top center of the door frame. But it doesn't just turn on a light when you open the door -- it also shuts off the dryer and resets the cycle.
When you put the dryer back together, if you don't get the hinge screws properly tight or if you don't get the door latch located in the proper place, then the door might not press the button securely when you close it and the dryer may shut off within a few seconds.
Notice he lays the latch down on the outer panel first, then the small plastic cover, then the inside door panel.
Samsung should stick to TV's, their washers and dryers their washer and
dryers are terrible they are VERY SLOW they use VERY MUCH energy and are
not efficient at all, stay away from their washers and dryers you'll be
glad you did.
