    They should mention it is made in the USA. It is a buying point for me.

    I very much agree with your end statements. I did serious bass boat tournament fishing for 3 years, and I'll never forget when I got my first yak and started to experience the amazing connection I got with the Earth. Something about being at the water line with your body and having less boat around you, really just puts you in tune with the Earth.
    Once I got my Bonafide SS127 and was able to do 12-15 hour trips like it was nothing, it was at that point that I knew my bass boat days were just about over entirely. I will go out with a friend here and there on theirs, but it's very rare.
    Good video here buddy.

    I bought a flint last summer (2020) and I love it. It's a great affordable kayak and great for fishing and maneuvering around in ANY body of water I've had it on, rivers, lakes, ponds, creeks. I did alot of research before I bought my kayak and any of the nucanoe kayaks are a great choice, I bought mine in St. Louis.

    Yep, I'd have to say one of my absolute favorite things about yak fishing is the ability to go a.n.y.w.h.e.r.e.
    You get that really cool encompassed in the Earth feeling. Just really helps me feel extra connected when I can get into those back waters that other vessels can't get to!

    I picked up a nearly new Flint with 360 seat. Realy like being able to turn all the way around if I want. That seat puts you almost 6 inches higher but, no problem with the stability. I like being able to change center of gravity forward or backward depending on what or who I'm carrying.. my grandkids (5 and 8) like to ride along too. My 210 pounds and their 50 or so pounds are no problem. Like you say, the drainage is great. I use the hog trough slot to park my paddle. The rod tip protectors are super when traveling around and through mangroves.

    At 7:08 you said that you drift when throwing a heavy bait. Newtons third law of motion is for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. In the Kayak, you have less mass to move than your bass boat, hence the drifting. If you get on a skateboard and throw a heavy object behind or in front, you will roll in the opposite direction also. This would happen in any Kayak, so it just goes with the kind of boat.
    And after watching to the end, I'm really pumped to get one of these boats. It will be my first and the bass are just waiting for me to catch them!
    Go Bucks!

    Interested in seeing your setup when you get the motor on. Just picked up a 2019 flint a few weeks ago and I love it so far. I’m wanting to upgrade to the 360 swivel seat but they are sold out until July unfortunately.

    • @FishingGrubbZ
      @FishingGrubbZ  4 роки тому

      I don’t enjoy the swivel. I do want to raise my seat but it’s weird paddling with the swivel seat

      @thebeardedpaddler 2 роки тому

      @@FishingGrubbZ they sell a swivel lock for it if that helps. Mine has a stiff swivel so it hasnt been an issue with me yet on my Frontier 12. That may change after a lot of use though

    I just bought a kayak and had a chance to grab the Flint but wish I did. I got the ocean kayak prowler 13. Mine doesn't have a standing platform which sucks. I've learned to hook set sitting down. I had the chance at the Flint for 100 more than my prowler but oh well it's done now. I still dig my kayak just wish I went with the flint. I'm gonna put electronics on mine also. Great video bro! Hope all is well

    Flint has a nice after glide , also noticed that on the pursuit to , i had the frontier 10 for 5yrs probably my fav yak out of all of them , i would take a F10 over the flint any day , how ever i would of liked the f10 in a pedal version that would of been great unfortunately nucanoe went with a 3rd party add on pedal that was already built for them , they made a few changes to it and slapped there logo on it and called it a day...lol Anyway moved on and now in a slayer propel 10 which has bin awesome.

    FYI the Flint is more of an entry level, stripped down, small, easy to pack & go boat. Some of the other models are more designed for ‘hardcore’/tournament level anglers.

    I'm at your 4th (I think) dislike, and I must agree. When you're throwing big baits, it's moving you all around hell.
