I'm a mopar guy but my father got me into Pontiacs so I kinda cringed when I seen that LS engine in a old pontiac I know to each his own and everyone builds cars to there liking but personally it would've been cooler if it had a tri power 389. Personally I get allot of hate for putting a 440 big block in my 67 Plymouth Barracuda but like I said to each their own, that's what makes hot rods and restomods special in their own way
Beautiful ride lots of time consuming work the wife will love driving it just sad to see her and her late husband won't be doing it together. Like what happen to my permits when my father passed at 45 years with a nice Chevy bel-air. Hope to see her on the road someday to say hi and check it out . Stacey keep up the great work. And God bless you . 😊
Is it me or was the announcement of Dennis’s passing not somber enough? Saying it like it was the punchline of a joke. Respect to Stacey but this was a stumble.
I felt the same when he announced it. I thought it was just me being too sensitive but I guess not. I know for sure that it wasn't the shows intention to project any disrespect.
i also dont like how he equated it right after to "leaving the spouse with a burden of no records" i mean come on who expects to die suddenly. im definitely not happy with how the death of dennis was treated
Actually the title of the 1st "Muscle Car" is accredited to the 1949 Oldsmobile Rocket 88! Oldsmobile introduced the 88 badge in 1949. It was named to complement the already-existing 76 and 98, and took the place of the straight-8 engined 78 in the model lineup. The new car used the same new Futuramic B-body platform as the straight-6 engined 76 but paired it with the new 303 cu in (5.0 L) Rocket V8 engine producing 135 horsepower (101 kW). This combination of a relatively small light body and large, powerful engine made it widely considered to be the first muscle car. The Rocket 88 vaulted Oldsmobile from a somewhat staid, conservative car to a performer that became the one to beat on the NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) circuits. It won six of the nine NASCAR late-model division races in 1949, 10 of 19 in 1950, 20 of 41 in 1952, and was eventually eclipsed by the low-slung, powerful Hudson Hornet, but it was still the first real "King of NASCAR." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oldsmobile_88
So sad to hear Denis died its alot of work to redo a car ive done a few one was a 67 chev 4 door impala when i was 22 years of age just rebuilding a Toyota hjz 75 series at 4x4 ute @ 58 years young after i was side hit and it rolled 4 times my son and i walked out of the crash with minor injuries nothing serious !
StaceyDavidsGearz what's up with v8 interceptor. will we get to see it finished. Awesome LeMans btw but i like to keep Pontiac engines in the old school Pontiacs.
If it doesn't have the OEM motor(or similar engine of that same year) &/or bigger than 15" rims...it's a fail. I'm just that way. Pretty car, beautiful interior.
Love your show and it is a great thing that you did for this lady. But about the 11:07 mark in the video, you hit the beautifully painted inner fender well with the head of a screwdriver and it made me cringe! I seriously hope it didn't scratch the paint?
As soon as he said LS with fuel injection and a ditched Poncho V-8 I was immediately turned off. I absolutely hate Chevy engines as the universal motor for every car.
I'm with you on that brotha. Could have put injection and OD trans on a 400 for the late model driveability. I get the LS is cheap and strong, but I wont cross certain lines and putting that in an old school Pontiac is one of those lines.
at 13:42 he says this is where most muscle cars had their batteries. that's strange, most I've seen, grew up with, and wrenched on had them on the core support in the engine bay.
I got a VW trike from the son of a dead guy and I've spent the past year building it! Follow its progress at Nate's Trike on Facebook! Its like a rusty rat trike!
he had a heart attack at age 52 suddenly died in wife's arms.. January 2015 left Indiana relocated just north of Nashville Tennessee goodlettsville Tennessee to be exact..
Dennis did such beautiful work, a true Craftsman, so happy Angie was able to save his dream
I watched this guy as a kid when he had the "Trucks" show... I alway thought this guy was a good person and a good teacher.
i second this.
He's a damn good builder.
R.I.P Dennis, you have a great car. You can show them in heaven. Just point down to it.
Mister Old Skool Ryder very well said
Roger that.

Thank you so much for uploading another full episode!!! Much appreciated. Very touching story too. Always inspiring Stacey!
SWEET RIDE,EVERYBODY WANTS A G.T.O. BUT THIS LEMANS IS JUST AS COOL
That Lemans is looking spectacular and clean as a whistle
That black Cougar looks really cool in the background.

Best episode I've seen! Thank you Stacey!
Glad you guys rolled these episodes out over time unlike last year where they all came out at once.
Glad you posted a new vid. I used to watch your show all the time. But I can't anymore. I don't get the channel.
powernation bud
Love these full episodes!
That is a very cool International scout 😎
I will always make sure that adjustments are made in restoration, and hot rods projects if you want to make the nationals.

I thought the exact same. "Dennis.. DIED!" Yeah he definitely should edit that or something. Didn't sound sincere.
i also dont like how he equated it right after to "leaving the spouse with a burden of no records" i mean come on who expects to die suddenly. im definitely not happy with how the death of dennis was treated
Yeah maybe but it was to make a point
hey at least he didn't give it the "Stacey laugh" after saying it.
everything is so scripted he probably forgot to show the proper somber respect.
God bless you Dennis 🙏 and your family 👪 🙏. You have a very beautiful car that you can be proud of

Thank you!
When he hit the car with that screwdriver at 11:05, ouch man!!! That hurt
I thought the same thing. I bet he did too but had to play it off of course. Still it sucks and I know he kicked himself for it.
He'll fix it lol
He'll just give the owner's wife a repainted bench vise from harbor freight
I thought throwing the project planning book on the trunk lid was
Man that's sad but Dennis had good taste that car it's absolutely gorgeous
Wow that Denis had great taste love the rims the color and the LS swap ! Very nice car wish it was mine !
The answer to all of life's problems. The Project Planning Book.
Consider an electronic version of this Project Planning book. Photos, weblinks, videos, etc could be attached, etc.
I always align the panels before paint, not when they have to be touched up after alignment.
Mr Veach 1962-2015 was from my home state of Indiana
Man I love your show, and it was great what you do for Denis's car ! ! !
Very very nice.

Here ya go... staceydavid.com/store?department=19
StaceyDavidsGearz what's up with v8 interceptor. will we get to see it finished. Awesome LeMans btw but i like to keep Pontiac engines in the old school Pontiacs.
Beautiful car...but it's a 1967...not a 66
I hope they keep it, Dennis would be happy
If it doesn't have the OEM motor(or similar engine of that same year) &/or bigger than 15" rims...it's a fail. I'm just that way. Pretty car, beautiful interior.

He tapped it yeah. A buff will fix and be fine.
GDamn it! he LS'ed it. It's a Pontiac, should have gotten a Pontiac engine back in there.
w41duvernay still a gm
As soon as he said LS with fuel injection and a ditched Poncho V-8 I was immediately turned off. I absolutely hate Chevy engines as the universal motor for every car.
The ls came in the late model gto's
I'm with you on that brotha. Could have put injection and OD trans on a 400 for the late model driveability. I get the LS is cheap and strong, but I wont cross certain lines and putting that in an old school Pontiac is one of those lines.
That's cool keep them coming
What was that, a punchline? "Dennis DIED!" Ba-dum tiss!
thats one good looking pontiac lemans, love the color.too bad the owner didnt get a chance to drive it.i hope the wife does.enjoy.
beautiful old car..
at 13:42 he says this is where most muscle cars had their batteries. that's strange, most I've seen, grew up with, and wrenched on had them on the core support in the engine bay.
I think he meant if the battery is relocated, that's where most of them get relocated to.
I got a VW trike from the son of a dead guy and I've spent the past year building it! Follow its progress at Nate's Trike on Facebook! Its like a rusty rat trike!
I have a lady cousin on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in the exact same situation
He... Died! What a punchline
his wife has a badass mullet
It's a 67
No muscle cars had battery in trunk !
god speed Dennis
11:08 Easy with the screwdriver
67... Also... STOP touching the top! 😉
Are you sure that it's a 66 looks like a a 67 to me
