@@NicolasMelis No, it hasn’t. 😥 On paper the MODX is much more powerful, and they certainly tried to implement the DX7 patches, however those don‘t sound as clear and powerful as on the original. Maybe a matter of the DACs?

I only see one cable, not sure if its an output or MIDI cable You're running the FULLTINES patch through some awesome chorus and reverb effects while playing LUIS MIGUEL, Beauty and the Beast, and some other 80s intros
Brazilian singer called ZIZI POSSI recorded a great song that were called "Noite" on 1986 with a great DX7 intro solo. Verinica Sabino, other Brazilian Singer in this same year, recorded a song were calle "Demais" with acoustic DX7 piano solo. Highly recomended to know
@@NicolasMelis You can buy (it's not expensive) baby version - Roland JD-08, it sounds almost the same as the original! Unfortunately, it can't directly load custom JD800/990 patches.
Would love to see you compose full length songs using the DX7 full tines synth.. very few are composing in this style anymore. I love hearing the sound of this.
Personally I think the DX7 is a great looking synthesiser. Sounds and looks great after over 40 years. Can you post a video of some of Stevie Wonder piano parts?

Wow, very nice playing! All that's missing now is to record this on an old cassette, let the tape melt in the sun on a car dashboard, and then play it back.
My first synth was the Yamaha DX21 and I had so much fun with that and playing around with the FM synthesis on my SoundBlaster card (the early 90s was a fun time). I enjoyed that so much that I purchased a DX7-IIFD on Ebay around 1995 for $280 with a really nice padded case! Still have it today. the quality of the machine is unparalleled for the price...by comparison, the DeepMind 12 that I have feels cheap!

Dexed. Free DX7 plug in, and it's basically identical to the original. Even takes the same cartridge files.
