You can't stop the Boss. Yeah, there can be two Bosses, what do you think this is? Some kinda monopoly? I wanna see a Springsteen/Scogin tour. Make it happen.
I'm guessing I've made a few mistakes, but this is probably pretty darn close. I've been interpreting Scogin's lyrics since his Luti-Kriss days in the 90s. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ hey still got lots at stake maybe I'm wrong maybe I'm right maybe I can't give up the fight 'til I'm gone hey my bags are packed and I'm leaving a stranger hey the clouds are moving I'll be OK clouds without rain and maybe I'm to bleed but I feel I'll be singing alone clouds without rain I will never hey still got lots to say maybe I'm wrong maybe I'm right maybe I can't give up the fight until I'm gone
Hey Still got lots to say Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right Maybe I can't give up the fight, til' I'm gone Hey My bags are packed, and I'm leaving a stranger Hey Ho Unlike the moment I'll be okay Clouds without rain And maybe I'm to blame, but I feel I might be singin' alone Clouds without rain I will never Hey Still got a lot to say Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right, Maybe I can't give up the fight until I'm gone
Aksel Coe This sounds absolutely NOTHING like The Black Keys and even FURTHER from Hella. This is very up the alley of Young Widows/The Jesus Lizard/Whores/Buildings
Eric Sandoval I was more talking about the lo-fi vibe and the minimalist set-up/gear that they were using than the actual music that they were playing.
I think he splits the signal: one goes into an octaver to tune it down an octave and then into a bass amp, this makes it sound like a bass; and the other uses some distortion and stuff before going into a guitar amp. Just a prediction though.
I was a show the other night looking at his rig from a distance. Hes running two Quilter Labs TB200, main and backup? or split signal stereo style possibly.
Does anyone know what happened to these guys? They released a 7 inch and put all the songs on youtube and now the 7 inch is sold out, the songs are off youtube, and there website says you can still pre order it. also there hasnt been an interview since like december.... I for one want to hear more of this magical music.
well, they're on tour with Chiodos, Emarosa and Our Last Night. They were not selling music at the show in San Antonio last night because they did not have any. If they're coming to your town, you'll have to go to a show and ask. Not only is this music not in any genre, the show was bizarre.. and I mean that in a good way.
This is the first time I've ever heard these guys. When he started to sing I though, "holy crap this sounds a lot like Josh Scogin." Then I saw his face.
He is back. :)
I fail to grasp the Black Keys comparison.
This is what pure rock n' roll sounds (and looks) like. Excellent!
Long Live.
You can't stop the Boss. Yeah, there can be two Bosses, what do you think this is? Some kinda monopoly? I wanna see a Springsteen/Scogin tour. Make it happen.
I fucking swear, everything Josh touches is gold. I love the new album, keep going man!
Great stuff!
It's the essence of The Chariot with the set up of the black keys. But FUCK it's amazing!!!!
I've waited so long for this and it's amazing.
I'm guessing I've made a few mistakes, but this is probably pretty darn close. I've been interpreting Scogin's lyrics since his Luti-Kriss days in the 90s.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right,
Maybe I can't give up the fight until I'm gone
I miss what was, but anticipate what is to come. Long live the ******(insertprojecthere)
+1 for the unplugged tuner pedal. +2 for another song longer than two minutes. +3 for being unable to sit on one's hands after the end of a decade.
Sounds like Norma Jean and The Chariot had born a cute child! Awesome!
falling headphones - his speciality
my
good ol' raw southern hardcore sound
Black Keys?
Everytime I Die?
Hella?
No. This is 68.
Neither. This is ´68
I feel some White Stripes in there too
.
He's baaaaaaaaack!
2:56-3:04 That yell, goddamn, too heavy!
ya'll keep doing this.
Yes!
I thought I'd find you on here.
Taylor Whitney you better believe it. Life goes on at last
Its like the Black Keys disgruntled angry cousin.
I love that hes EMULATING, not IMITATING.
Sounds like some people are digging on the Black Keys.
Or Hella if setup = sound. Sounds like a raw version of old Every Time I Die to me.
Yeah, I can see that too.
Aksel Coe many artists have taken the lo-fi approach and minimalism before the Black Keys.
Horosho!!!
Never in my life, I have seen a Hi Hat that crashes that way. Amazing.
Could be that hihat tambourine on top.
more please!
Maylene and the Sons of Disaster + The Black keys = 68'
is this the band thats touring with listener?
Yessir!
OK. I KNOW PEOPLE ARE SAYING THIS HAS A "Black Keys" vibe to it
BUT AM I THE ONLY PERSON THAT FEELS A LITTLE "EYEHATEGOD" sense in it?
NOTHING but trouble!!! :-D :-D :-D
Man, the guitar tone in this is fucking amazing. Thick.
He plays it through a bass amp to get the sound
Muitobom
how does the guitar morph color at 1:25?
it is a combination of 5 different takes
This is the most exciting thing @_@
It's the essence of The Chariot with the set up of the black keys. But FUCK it's amazing!!!!
Shoite. Ive seen this video like 10 years ago and could not remember band or song name. Glad i finally fucking found it
Dude that fuckin scream at 2:57 is fucking amazing holy shit. Just saw these dudes last night, fucking intense. Miss this drummer tho
I guess taking care of Josh's vocal chords wasn't one of the reasons behind The Chariot's demise.
Websites crashing like crazy, and $15 shipping to the UK is pretty expensive.
I don't get it, The Chariot is one of my top 5 favorite bands. But to me this "68" band sucks!!!!
Reminds me of Bleach era Nirvana mixed with The Chariot. Sweet! I dig it!
Hey Josh, are you going to be releasing a digital or cd version, or just vinyl?
The Black Keys x Josh Scogin = EARGASM
Point of interest. Let's get ETID to tour with these guys.
is that Easton Corbin playing drums??
lol like the black keys are the first and only 2 man band to exist
I miss the Chariot...
Have you watched the video of them in Russia for the farewell tour? The crowd was fucking nuts!
Man, everyone misses the chariot
Hey, I designed that shirt!
Sounds like I've got a new band to listen to.
0:23 fucking CKY tone, love that shit.
Fuck that sound, I want to hear more!!!!!
Anybody else wanna desperately know Josh's rig?
he's got a special can with both amp speakers and bass speakers or something there's an interview where he talks about it
I think he splits the signal: one goes into an octaver to tune it down an octave and then into a bass amp, this makes it sound like a bass; and the other uses some distortion and stuff before going into a guitar amp. Just a prediction though.
do you have a link to the interview?
I was a show the other night looking at his rig from a distance. Hes running two Quilter Labs TB200, main and backup? or split signal stereo style possibly.
site still down? This just made my day!
Reppin' that Blackhole shirt!
They couldn't afford a taller mic stand?
this is nothing like the black keys??
Josh, you're god in this way ..
+Eric Sandoval I so agree dude haha
josh and the chariots of disaster
Yes, I will take more of this.

Love u man!
What cymbals is he using?

Yeah, definitely got a white stripes meets nirvana meets the pixies meets the chariot vibe... which is an awesome combo
Is that a silver tone amp?
Beautiful!
Nice work :)
That's somethin'.
