Happy New Year to you and your family Calvin. Got a question for you bro. I watched another ex-pat Vlogger's channel and he lives in the Philipines and is married with a kid and what I guess is a live-in domestic "helper." How prevalent is this over there? Also, do many ex-pats that raise families over there send the kids to private school? I hope to retire in four years and never thought of more kids, but seeing your past video on the subject and this other Vlogger has got me thinking. Blessings to you and your family man.
Thanks for stopping by. Having a maid here is common and even regular locals have one. Private school is a great option here our son goes to a private school.
Please Please listen to the Brother!!! He is telling the absolute truth!! Well you might say: How do you know that he's telling the truth? Answer: Because I've been to the Philippines when I was in the Navy in 1978..many years ago. Before I even went for the first time..the brothers on the ship was telling me about the Philippines and how awesome it is. I really thought they were bullshitting me. Until I first arrived...It absolutely "Blew My Mind"!!!! The place is truly Paradise on Earth!!! I have never forgotten the Philippines. It left a permanent and profound impact on my life!! The beautiful and exotic Islands, the millions of breathtakingly beautiful flawless skinned women..in all shades. The very inexpensive cost of living, the night life, the variety of different and delicious foods and fruits that I've never heard of or eaten before. The beautiful white sand beaches...extremely tall palm tress, mango trees, coconut trees..banana trees. You can just walk alongside the road and pick fruits off trees and eat them. The friendliness of the Filipino people. They are always happy and content regardless of the circumstances. I loved the mode of transportation..which still exist today called jeepneys and tricycles..they are the cutest thing...with a million assortments of decorations and colors. One last thing"Men"....you "MUST" keep your wits about yourself because you will have in your area alone thousands of exotic and beautiful Filipina women at your fingertips. It's enough to drive you totally insane!! All if them will treat you like a king and make you feel extremely special! With the utmost tactfulness..they can and will fulfill your wildest dreams and fantasies! When we had to leave the Philippines..all of us practically cried!! I did "NOT" want to go back to the states!! I have fully retired and will be going back within the next few months to permanently live. For Real!!!!!! Brother Calvin knows what he is talking about. God Bless Him!!!
It can take time, but I found like most countries when it comes to rentals of houses there is a foreigner price and a locals price,so did your girlfriend do the looking and get price? It makes things a lot easier, even for simple things like going to market or even taking a trike I always get whatever woman I am with to go,because for sure they will charge me more
@@schneider9615 if you were on a fixed budget you would worry and it all adds up,and I mean larger amounts like trikes trying to charge 200 peso extra then actual price. If a person is retired budget is different, they are not "2 week millionaire" and if you spend like you are,you will be broke very fast.
often when people retire they down size also. but most choose a place in the same country so after that it will be down to the women and for some the booze and cigarettes. for sure it wont be for comfort aircon versus heating comes to mind there are far less opportunities to have a local hobby and part time work (a few hours a week) that's where the story ends its time to cash in all those hours worked in the past
Cal, do you think you will interview or have your woman on here? And can you talk on how you two met? How long did it take you two do get used to each other? Trust? Thanks

Good afternoon Calvin I hope you and your family are Safe🙏 You know anything about La Carlota City not far from Bacolod..?? Thinking about visiting in La Carlota city, met a young lady from there. Suggestion or have you; Talk about guys buying houses for their girlfriends or wives. And lose everything because of her family stress
It’s a small place but safe. I don’t know of anyone who lost everything from building a house for their wife/girlfriend. I do know men who have built here with no problems though.
Do you have any videos about finding work there coming from the US? You telling me Filipinas don’t get “a headache” like American women when it’s comes to woopie?
As far as "whoopie" is concerned, my experience is Filipinas don't use it as a tool of manipulation... it seems most of them enjoy it as much as most of us do. I've been with my Filipina for 3.5 VERY happy years, more sex than in an entire previous marriage of 26 years! We've never had an argument/fight but, even when we've disagreed about something and either of us was in the mood, a simple "Want to play 😁?" and it was ON! Foreigners are "not allowed" to work in the Philippines on most visas. There are foreigners who "work online" teaching ESL (English as a second language), brokers, other things that can be done SOLELY online and be based in their home country but, getting a job working here is, for the most part, a no-no.
Just a quick question....I see alot of vloggers talking about living in the Philippines on $500 or $1000 per month. That doesn't seem like alot of money to live comfortably there. Now, when the time comes for me to retire, I expect to be making roughly $5000-6000 per month in combined pension and social security. What kind of lifestyle can I afford with that kind of income?
What you "expect to make" is a good bit more than I actually make.... I've been here 3.5 years, have bought a condo, I have 2 bikes, a Click 150i and a Mio Soul 125 (just bought the Click, planning to lower the Soul so my wife's feet can touch the ground and teach her to ride), I often like to eat western foods from S&R and Landers (baby back ribs, Fettuccini, Lasagna, breads and rolls, etc.,) I have a refrigerator/freezer and 2 more freezers, and run 2 aircons constantly, my electric is a bit high (P7,000 to P9,000 per month, We've been to Boracay, Bantayan, and others staying at 4 and 5 Star Hotels. And my "Bug Out Fund" is still safely in the bank. What YOU will need to budget will depend ENTIRELY on your choices here, how much you can afford BY CHOICE. Don't let ANYONE tell you what your budget will be, or needs to be. But... I will say that if you can't live in the Philippines extremely comfortably on your "expected income"... You're probably not going to live "Comfortably" on this planet.
I've been there 4 times. If you are spoiled in America don't go to the Philippines. You need to change your mindset before you go. Just a bit of advice.
The sweet spot makes all the difference in the world. I’m 10X happier here without all of the stress that comes with comfort there. Thanks for stopping by.
There are many many vloggers over there who just say good, good, good. They need views. The grass is NOT greener in the Philippines. There is NO UTOPIA anywhere in the world. Everywhere has goods and bads. There is lots of sunshine in the USA. You give up your American family, and your own country, your own culture. Is sex that important? In your sixties, it ends, but us old guys keep looking at young girls. Many vloggers over there because they can not afford the USA in retirement...who's fault is that? In my opinion, Asia is GREAT, but only for visit not for actual resettlement, that takes a 'special person'...I prefer the USA better. I have been to Asia (China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia) many times. I have been involved with Asian female relationships, most of my life. You know MANY (MOST?) Filipinos would move to USA if they legally could and afford it? Seems like we should understand why that is.
Mr. Flair: yes “there is lots of sunshine in the US” but, also a whole #$%-load of darkness and oppression. From your thumbnail, you appear to be an older white man. Don’t you understand that you won the lottery born with that skin colour? Don’t you understand how much automatic privilege that confers upon you in the US? You are at the top of the food chain and have been your whole life. So it is entirely logical that YOU love it so much. But what about the rest of us: the ones the cops shoot, the ones who are denied jobs because of our accents, the ones who are refused mortgages after saving up the downpayment ….. etc. The socio-economic system in the US craps all over alot people who may well be in a better position living somewhere else. Of course there is no (general) Utopia, however, someone can find THEIR OWN Utopia outside the U.S. The world does not = the USA. The US is a great place for rich, white people. For the rest of us: not so much - it's a crap shoot a best. In fact, even brown people who get some money still get harassed by the cops and followed around in stores. For the AVERAGE individual, even Canada is 10 x better on almost every metric.
@@garrylafferty100 Forgive me if I've misunderstood/misinterpreted your statement "live of social security they take there cake and move over there"... Just remember, Social Security is NOT a benefit, not a gift, and NOT Welfare... It's MY MONEY forcibly given into the government system over 40+ years with the promise that it would be returned at retirement. I'll take my Social Security and do with it as, and go anywhere, I please.
Calvin, I am confused about Phil Health. You paid 17,000php and got 10,000php benefit. Seems like you would have been better off just paying the extra 10k and saving 7,000php. Am I missing something?
Yes it’s called insurance for a reason. That was my gf’s policy as you have to have your own. What about emergencies or something serious you just never know. I paid auto insurance for years and never used it at home but the peace of mind is priceless. Thanjs for stopping by.

Hey CAL ...have you bought a car or moped there yet ???
seen any american cars over there ?
Thanks for stopping by. I don’t drive. My gf has a moped and there’s many cars here but mostly foreign. I guess you can probably see Fords and GM’s in Manila or Cebu.
Once in awhile you will see old American cars left from US service members stationed there before bases closed
Happy new year!
It makes things a lot easier, even for simple things like going to market or even taking a trike I always get whatever woman I am with to go,because for sure they will charge me more
Absolutely. Here is my video about paying the “Philippine Tax” 😊
ua-cam.com/video/IpMk_D_72zI/v-deo.html
If it costs 20 cents US more to ride a trike, I’ll take it. Driver’s happy, and I get to my destination. 👍
Hi
Hello
How are you
I’m fine thanks
Hiws your new year
It’s good what about you
often when people retire they down size also. but most choose a place in the same country so after that it will be down to the women and for some the booze and cigarettes. for sure it wont be for comfort aircon versus heating comes to mind there are far less opportunities to have a local hobby and part time work (a few hours a week) that's where the story ends its time to cash in all those hours worked in the past
Cal, do you think you will interview or have your woman on here? And can you talk on how you two met? How long did it take you two do get used to each other? Trust? Thanks
She doesn’t want to appear on camera because there are some characters on UA-cam but I will discuss that on my livestream Saturday night. Thanks for your suggestion.
Roger that!
Calvin they trying to get at your girl bro, some next pats 😆
😆😆😆
@ 😂 negative.
The thing about it Calvin, most Americans can't live like a native the way you do, so it's not easily duplicated Americans are too spoiled to do it .A lot of people won't get rid of the superiority complex to blend in .
I’m not living like a native. I live a comfortable lifestyle. Have you seen the neighborhood? Thanks for stopping by. If you can’t live here you shouldn’t come in the first place 😊

Good afternoon Calvin
I hope you and your family are Safe🙏
You know anything about La Carlota City not far from Bacolod..??
Thinking about visiting in La Carlota city, met a young lady from there.
Suggestion or have you;
Talk about guys buying houses for their girlfriends or wives. And lose everything because of her family stress
It’s a small place but safe. I don’t know of anyone who lost everything from building a house for their wife/girlfriend. I do know men who have built here with no problems though.
@@calroach1 thx sir
@@tennesseetravelr Thanks!
When you gonna show us your hood bro ? ... maybe some walking videos ?

It's all good in tha Pinoy 'hood .
Thanks for stopping by. On that kind of income you could literally live anywhere and anyway you’d like here. That’s quite a bit of money here.
So calvin, how do i find your email??, ✍️
Thanks for stopping by. Calroach1@gmail.com
Calvin why don't you ever show your baby and lady there? Great videos but show us your happiness baby lady you love some outside travels ? Thanks
She has declined. So many characters on UA-cam and I don’t want to expose them to that. Thanks for stopping by.
We are on lockdown in the Philippines with travel restrictions. Once it opens up we will shoot my vlogs in several locations.
I'm in california now. How can I get in touch with you to get more info. I want to make that move. Maybe email. Phone or whatsapp.
Thanks for stopping by. Here’s my email calroach1@gmail.com take care.
OH ok. I got confused
When are you Philippines going to open their borders and let turist come to their island 🏝️ ?
According to the government it will reopen to international visitors in the second half of the year. Thanks for your feedback and comments.
Thanks Calvin, I needed to know when I can be ready to go to the Philippines . I love your Videos and keep it hot 🔥🥵.
Calvin, do the filipino women like Black Men for dating and marrying ?
I've been there 4 times. If you are spoiled in America don't go to the Philippines. You need to change your mindset before you go. Just a bit of advice.
The sweet spot makes all the difference in the world. I’m 10X happier here without all of the stress that comes with comfort there. Thanks for stopping by.
Do the filipino women date and Marry black men ?
Absolutely! I have literally had to chase women away. One great thing about Filipinas is that the majority will judge you on character and not looks!
At the end of the day it’s about choice sir. Thanks for stopping by.
@@calroach1 I wasn't dogging you out, I love your content. I was just asking. :-)
Calvin, your tongue slipped a bit when you said you may have your wife over there (meaning Stateside) put your stimulus check in the bank. You may want to clarify :) :) .
No I said that correctly. We are separated but still good friends 😊
Calvin everything seems great except that damn rooster. For crying out loud. How in the F do you get away from that freaking noise. I swear to Gd it would drive me nuts.
