I'm definitely glad you reacted to this. First reaction i've seen of this song, and it's almost criminal no one had reacted to this yet.
One of the very best pop artist/song/album/video of the late 80's

You are most definitely not the only one. I love these guys ever since this entered the Top 20 in my country in early 88.
Bought the Everything LP the very next week after school. Still have it to this day.
Have literally every song by them, i don't think there is a single song that i dislike. Both albums are great. A Favorite from the Coming In For The Kill album is Fire On The Ocean. These guys, along with Boy Meets Girl, Johnny Hates Jazz and similar bands are amazing late 80's pop.

It was featured in the movie “How I got into College”. Closing credits.
That’s where I first heard it. Now it’s in my playlist.

Fantastic 80s song. I remember dancing with my first steady girlfriend with this in a school dance😂. Very underrated as an 80s classic.

Wow, I literally haven't heard this song since the year it came out! You're so right though. It truly is an endearing pop song. So timeless, well-crafted, and an awesome melody. A girl I dated back then absolutely loved this song too, probably even more than I did. Thanks for the mega-memory blast!

I believe they offered this song to Rod Stewart but he passed and Simon decided to sing it himself. He did a good job and there is a kind of throaty similarity. He did get Rod to sing other songs but he missed out with this pop gem. Simon also co-wrote Knew you were waiting for George Michael and Aretha.

I did know Simon was a songwriter and wrote that amazing tune for Aretha & George 😎❤️👍🏼 Wish Climie fisher had done more !!

I was a huge Naked Eyes fan. Loved this, too! I wrote to the website when Rob Fisher passed away and Pete Byrne wrote back. We actually became pretty good friends. ❤

@@reactionextractionYeah! Pete’s great. I was in NYC then, but we met and had dinner the next time I was in LA. Kind of kept on from there. I did the artwork for his solo album around 2000.

@@reactionextractionI was! I worked designing newspaper ads first. I taught myself to design websites and other stuff on the side after I left the paper for MTV. ❤ A friend told me that my name comes up in Discogs as a graphic designer or something like that for Pete’s album and one I did for Daryl Hall. I’m famous! 😂😂😂

Great pop song, always loved it. We were in "Fatso's" in 88 (an eat all you want pasta joint on Old Compton Street - long, long gone) when Simon Climie walked in. We we hoping he'd sit on the next table, but sadly he'd only come in for the toilet. Haha!
