How to use your energy/presence to communicate with your horse.

Body language is the horse's natural language and they understand it better than we do. Horses use their energy to tell other horse to move out of their way, to move their feet, sometimes it is a simple shake of the head and sometimes they go after another horse with their teeth bared and stampede the other one.
As horsemen we need to be able to also get our horses to move their feet and get out of our way while on the ground as well as to move their feet where we want them while riding our horse.
If we have a dull horse and we are too chilled out, not a lot is going to happen with quality. If we have an impulsive horse and we are wired then things are going to get western very quickly. There is a fine line, a dance sort of, that has to happen every second where we feel how much energy is needed at the moment and we have to adjust as is needed.
Sometimes people feel like doing enough to get the job done, is being mean to the horse and when that happens some horses will take advantage of the situation. Sometimes some people come it way to hard or too fast and can make a quite horse get stressed and upset.
