I'm retired Marine Corps, i have 33 rifles and hand guns, my Ruger PC is one of the best designed rifles( Carbines) I ever used, I'm a bit taken back when you say there's a number of improvements it could use, thats just not accurate , your selling add ons, thats fine, some people like that, but this weapon is close to perfect out of the box.
Glad to read some common sense response. This carbine, for what it is designed for, is great out of the box. If you want to engage the enemy during WW3, than buy the Rugar SFAR.
What is funny is when most you tubers complain of the weight of this carbine. I go back to a quote from General Mathis (paraphrasing): This country is screwed after watching kids on airplanes struggle to put bags in the overhead compartments.
I’m sure it does work great out of the box, but what if I want a light on it? What if I want a bipod or a grip? Irons are good but what if I want an IR? You fudds are so arrogant it’s sad
I really really appreciate how you have a quiet no nonsense approach to your reviews. I appreciate that you don’t open with a ear splitting heavy metal intro. Well done and thank you for the review.
I received my Hand Guard to day and with the instructions and after your seeing your video a few days ago, I had it on in about 15 minutes. Looks very nice !
Outstanding video & presentation...those upgrades really dressed up that Ruger. I live a half hour from the Midwest shop here in Wisconsin...very nice place & the staff is very helpful...oh by the way I subbed...
An excellent instructional video. The fact that OreGear is not 'sold' on the weapon makes the review of the Midwest upgrades more credible. Thanks for this, I am going to spring for the upgrade set. I am also getting a muzzle break.
Im happy with the PC9. Ive had one for about a year now, with over 5000 rounds run through it. With the release of the Ruger 57 though, I would like to see the PCC adapted for 5.7mm rounds. Would make a potent pair.
I just picked mine up, during this Covid issues. The Sheriff's didn't allow gun shops to open, then they reversed their decision. Anyway, first impression, the gun is HEAVY!!
I bought the Ruger 19122 model then modified it with MCARBO, Tandemkross, and Magpul 27 round mags. Actually like it more than my AR. The collapsible stock is great compared to the rifle stock and it has two QD mounts plus it already comes with the Mlok hand guard. The MCARBO muzzle brake is worth every penny. Put on a Holosun AEMS and has been awesome so far.
That’s pretty cool! Thanks for the video. I think I may have to get one for my channel now. I’d be curious to compare it to the Keltec Sub-2000, CZ Scorpion, Micro Roni, and an AR-9 to see which one works best and for what purposes.
@@schwarzesonne6529 I will be doing a video soon. I have the PC Charger, Scorpion, Roni, and Sub 2000 currently. The Scorpion was my favorite, but I haven’t shot the Ruger yet. Stay tuned!
I thought that gun was ugly … but this is awesome looking... makes it look like a modernized PPSH or something..., I typed that before he said ppsh darn it!!
Thanks for the great information, I just picked up a PC carbine and was looking for upgrades. I definitely like that handguard and extended knurled charging handle. Thanks agian
@Liverpool 11 theres your problem, "reviews ive read". Start testing shit for yourself. 8 years ago i realized 99% of guntube reviewers just make shit up.
Taccom has a carbon fiber hand guard that's significantly lighter than the Midwest Industries and is only $100.oo. It also helps the balance as the PC9 is a bit front heavy.
Great stuff I’m looking for this rifle for PCC in uspsa competitive shooting. And it really makes this rifle look badass! Great review and you are very lucky and deserving of the gear!! Keep up the fight out there I know it’s a up hill battle but it’s something that is very important for all our rights.
I've never bought a firearm on how it looks. If I was concerned about how products look, I wouldn't have owned five Jeeps. The classic style will make someone who invited themselves into my home without an invitation regret their life choices.

C Wool magpul is coming out with a stock this fall similar to the hunter x-22 takedown stock for this model. Has storage in the stock. It was announced at shotshow 2020
They will be offering a railed model from the factory but they’re using a different handguard that is inferior to the Midwest Industries offering in my opinion.
I have seen a video where the RUGER hand guard version where the barrel is not centered in the hand guard. I added the 14” full hand guard, handle, butt stock QD spacer and their muzzle brake. Can not wait to go back to the range and see how she does.😎🇺🇸
Someone should make the adapters for many of the popular sidearms in 9mm and .40.
