Hey man who ever thought I would be watching yard maintenance and loving every minute of it love your channel iv learned alot bout different things watching the channel thanks Stoney for sharing your life on the farm with us .👍✌️
I just picked up the back pack Toro battery blower. No battery included but I had a 10 AH one from the Toro snow blower ready to go. It’s a pretty slick set up, very strong and quieter than the gas powered variety.
The outlook at the 9 minute mark when playing around with the hedge trimmer looks like something from a magnate’s country estate. Well done Josh on building up a beautiful property. Plant rosemary. When it’s hedged, and it can be, the smell is beautiful plus it’s healthy to eat and gives good flavour to food, especially lamb and roast potatoes.
Hey Josh, I love the work your doing on the Farm! And at 6'4" I feel your pain with weed whackers, and plus I'm left handed so life sucks even more in a 'Right Handed' World :) Hot outside?? For the last week its been hitting 104 degrees here in the Middle Rio Grande Valley with no releif in sight! My egg layin Ladies, mostly Barred Rocks, ain't liken it at all! And the Blue Slates are miserable too!
Nice review! Even though I own an arsenal of gas powered equipment I’ve found that electrics like the ones you reviewed are helpful especially inside buildings since they have zero emissions. The exhaust of a gas blower inside a barn can be downright harmful.
A tip when hedge-clipping. Always trim up. From the ground up will give you a better clip. If you are making a hedge aim for a truncated triangular prism so the lower branches get sun and will continue to leaf up. In other words, slope the sides inwards from the base enough to make sure every branch gets full sunlight.
Josh, the advice I would give anyone at this point. When you buy a battery powered tool, always buy one with a battery. Usually the big box stores run nice sales on these combo. Often times, the batteries are more expensive than the tool themselves. Stick to the brand that you use. Often times, the batteries are interchangeable as well. If I had to start all over again, I would definitely consider TORO. The brand I have right now has been awesome though! It's been able to do everything thing I've thrown at it, with absolutely no issues. Thanks Josh!
STIHL needs to have one of those "Backpack Systems" for Landscape Contractors. And a "Rapid Charge" system for a 12v for those on the go with multiple properties!
Josh, do you gather all of this for your own "On Site" Compost Pile, or dump it all "in the woods"? Also, any thoughts of growing your own Tabacco and making use of the "Tabacco Shed"?
Do you have the comparable ones in the Milwaukee flavor? How do Toro, Milwaukee, and Dewalt compare? Thanks for demoing the Toro models! Good stuff!!! 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
A power backpack makes sense for some equipment and less for other. The hedge trimmer and the weed whacker are among those where it makes less sense, they are not the heavy draining equipment that makes good use of a huge power backpack. The leaf blower and the chainsaw drain the batteries a lot faster so a backpack makes a lot more sense, especially if you are working for a whole day. So it's not a one stop solution for ever battery powered tool you've got.
I like the idea of electric and the instant torque and power but the dang batteries are just so darn expensive and if something wears out internally can it be serviced? I find it difficult to spent hundreds if not more of my hard earned money on something that doesn’t have the longest service life, do some tools make life easier, I can agree some have an advantage but that’s my view on things I’d love to find some answers or advice to change my mind. I do like them I just have questions. Not to mention the weight reduction and decreased vibrations are a plus aswell. I guess I’m just on the fence so to speak.😅
I watch your videos regularly however I have to totally disagree with you... The atlas 80v series outdoes toro any day I was Leary of atlas as I owed the toro line and batteries where worn out. I figured I would run the atlas for 90 days and compare.. The atlas tools rock. I own a farm also and have put them to the test... Toro doesn't even compare.
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer no it does not make a backpack.. unfortunately but it has a chainsaw that I have abused the heck out of... I have four of the large packs and I can run it for about six to eight hours straight with that... The chain and bar have been replaced with Oregon parts which helped the battery life.
@@simpletennesseelife5895so what you're actually saying, is that a 80volt system is incomparable to a 60volt system (wooow, surprise!!!) and atlas is beter than toro, because atlas has no battery-backpack and a crappy chain and blade???

@@StoneyRidgeFarmer China is a pretty flaccid excuse for an enemy:: demographic collapse, incompetent leader with a cult of personality, and the world’s largest importer of food and energy with a far inferior Navy and Air Force… they wouldn’t stand a chance, and they can’t afford to try. you do understand that this makes battery life about 5 times more....and it opens the door to electric tools for the pro landscaper right? You are basically saying that Americans are stupid for wanting convenience? I'm not sure how big your yard is....but mine is 150 acres!
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer 150 Acres is quite a challange but I do understand your point. Awesome and very versatile unit for any farm or any business or home owner
Reminds me of my old external aluminum frame back pack. The hip belt was more important than the shoulder straps! wooo!

Battery powered tools are making MAJOR strides. Great review and look at what Toro has to offer!
Good morning Josh, those are some handy battery powered tools to have! The backpack power pole saw set up I really like!
Morning Josh its great to have tool Tues have a wonderful day on the farm with the cows
Looks like a great system from Toro.
I have those tools in various brands, some electric, some battery and some engine driven.
This channel is officially an infomercial series.
I bought a toro blower with the battery system, started to build on it,going to get the trimmer next
Excellent video Josh and things will be a lot easier also faster now ❤😊😮
How's Mrs Stoney Ridge doing haven't seen her in a while, miss seening her with you.

I must have missed something. Haven't seen Mrs.SRF in a while.
Good morning Josh
Nice equipment you have to do the chores
Great stuff, love it all
Be well
New drinking game...everyone takes a shot every time Josh says the word tether!! Halfway thru the video, everyone is passed out on the floor!
Snicker, you're so gentle.. wham bang toss flip bump. Lol. Truth is I am the same with my stuff.
Is there a left handed version of the leaf blower? The one you have is for right handers. It doesn't look like it would be too handy for a south paw.

We need a update on how things are going with miss and Mr stoney ridge
That's a Minnesota based Company! I mean, I knew that a priori. I had a Toro lawn mower, it was great!
Like those trimmers!
Looks nice after the trim.
Hey Josh thank you for the video woo
Having way to much fun!!!!!!!
Great Job. You should always put your equipment back clean.
Great video, Josh! Good stuff to know!

where has miss Stoney Ridge been ?
It was hoped that the relationship would mend and all would be happy ever after. It didn’t happen. She is gone.
any luck finding the Rooster yet or still M.I.A ?
If Toro had been around 200 years ago we would never had a civil war.
Some local governments mandate all gas operated gardening equipment be changed to battery powered to lessen impact on environment and lessen noise.
