Hell yes dude. I'm 6'9" and 280lbs. No one says we can't rip like everyone else, but we are so much harder on equipment no matter the activity. This popped on my feed and now checking out your videos. Shout out to the big man athletes 🤘🤘
longer legs = longer "travel" 🤣
6’7 250, I feel your pain my friend.
Im 6’3-6’4 320 lbs its super hard for me to get bike
@@matejkolarrrthe bike probably doesn't want you to crush it😂
@@sup-stoner i got a bike also i didint knew my weight but i weigh 297 lbs aint that bad lol
You're very inspiring as a fellow large rider who was worried about my weight when I got my new Stumpjumper last year seeing another huge guy riding specialized bikes with no problems gives me much more confidence
I just bought a Stumpjumper Alloy in May and also worried. I'm 6'4" and like 280lbs. I was pointed in the direction of his channel by a local bike shop employee who said you have nothing to worry about, just rip it. After watching his videos I am definitely at ease about it. 👍👍
Absolutely inspiring dude! You are such a big man and drive like an Athlet. Keep going buddy 💪🏻
He uses electronic bikes
@@lyssanch3096 in my opinion, it doesn’t matter :)
Just trying to inspire more big people to get out there! Cheers🤜🏼🤛🏼
@@nrmlmtber you should go one the carnivore diet for a few months . The first few weeks are tuff but after that it's not that hard .. you can eat as much meat and eggs as you want and I dropped from 289 to 215 In less than a year and I had ripped Abs and I was able to do so so much more lol!
Hi Peter
I dont think i have ever been so stressed during while watching a video. I have snapped pedals before and its not fun, i have hardware in my foot because of it lol keep up the awesome videos!
That sounds extremely painful!
The editing and music choice is really impressive!! LOVE IT!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK MAN!!!
Thank you! Just dont want to make dry/boring videos😅
As a 6’4” 250lb man (was 300 a few months ago but keto be treating me well) who used to mountain bike I just want to say thanks for the inspiration to get back out there
First off, congratulations on the fitness/weight loss accomplishments! My main goal is to get more people out on the trails and make em laugh in the process!
how did you cope applying keto to bike riding ? did you resign from IF or what did you do ?
You are the only guy I know of that can bottom out a bike before it hits ground. Keep shredding!!
Haha!!! Good point, just noticing that now too😂
"The bike is totally fine" as your buddy looks in disbelief. Epic video. Thanks
Thanks my dude! Im so happy nothing bad happened😅
The mere concept of this is amazing! This is what the internet is for! You inspire me, I've been trying to get back under 250 before I start riding again so I don't shatter all my expensive stuff (and probably hurt myself). You don't see guys out there like us. I'm going out. Thanks.
Bro your videos are all fire. Best in the game
pretty awesome in my book! stocky 220+ lbs rider here on a status 160 with 170 fork. You inspire me man!
Is climbing on the 160 as bad as people say? What do you like and dislike about the bike? Been looking into them
@@oak7746 I'm not gonna lie, you gotta be physically fit in a way, that you could handle the climbs, but same as goes with any other 160+ travel bikes, It's the same thing. Longer travel=challenging uphills, but if your racing XC on it, it's not for you. It is for steep, techy downhill & jumpline trails.
@@oak7746 I'm 6'4 at 210 and ride a status 160, absolutely love the bike, tried 6 different tire combos on her so far, I run 25lbs of tire pressure front an rear with the hard cushcore because the status wheelset is a bit soft and i wanted to protect them from damage on hard rock impacts. I haven't changed anything on the bike except the pedals and swapped to an ergon seat.
Climbing doesn't feel any worse then any other 12 spd despite the aggressive super slack angles and the raked out front headtube angle, might have something to do with the 170mm cranks 11-50t an the very capable 32t chainring. Climbing is never fun let's be honest but no, I don't feel like it's any worse at all. It's surprising to me how many people think this bike climbs so bad.
Glad to inspire! Also great bike choice, love my Status🙌🏻
i did some stress tests on my bikes, and they were painful, but not this painful. salute the bikes he tested
You should add some bottomless tokens on the air suspension, so you get a less linear end of stroke on forks and shocks.
Maybe start with 2 or 3 tokens and redo some tests, especially on the long range bikes I think you can then have a soft initial hit and a more progressive dampening without getting that hard bottom out experience
Epic thumbnail! 🤣 Kudos for your humour, courage and skills! 🙂
Thank you🙏🏻
Thanks for taking one for the team :)
Just got a 130mm steel hardtail this weekend as my first mtb. Well see how it goes.
Great vid! Fun to see you creating over here. I just realized I wasn't subbed.
Glad I found your channel. Just got back into mountain biking, I weighed myself the other day and was 23 stone 8lb. Which incidently is 330lb. Time to shift some of this weight
This inspires some confidence to me. Thank you for the video
I'm also a big dude 6'6" only 250 though and was torn between the status 140 and 160. After seeing this, I'm glad I opted for the 160.
I must say you have balls of steel for doing that! I salute you very large dude!
Glad you were recovered enough to ride today! That many huck-to-flat landings had to leave you sore!
Haha love the do bro👍🙋😝😎... I got a hardtail and love in Detroit. Not much to bottom out on over this way lol lol 😂😆
I definitely thought those pedals would snap on the hardtail. Thank you for the research...don't hurt yourself ❤️
Wow, the entire specialized lineup. I have a heavily upgraded Fuse (140mm Z2, Stans wheels, 350s, etc...). It has held up to DH, enduro, everything but I only weigh 125 lbs. When I go to flat, I feel it in the wrists the most and rarely the ankles. The status 160 is my next ride.
Your fuse build is exactly what i want to do with mine one day! And the Status is awesome, highly recommend it!
Putting that ramp to the test too 😄
Right!!
Bevor i watched your videos i wasn't sure if i should buy an Specialized status or commencal clach but now i own a status and it is one of the best decision i ever made
Big riders needs more suspension than light riders i think. Just more inertia to absorb on every hit. Great demo.
Big riders needs more air pressure in suspension, not more travel. There is a bigger problem form them, big cyclists can lose warranty only by riding as bikes have weight restrictions.
Thats my thought as well, i definitely ride a bit better with more travel
And I hear I am just went and bought a new bike to get in shape. And there’s this guy. Fml. I’m a large guy myself. This guy is extremely impressive
This hurt to watch but also as a big guy myself mate me feel better. I can imagine landing on flat like that is by far the most stressful thing a bike will take, compared to landing on a jump with a nice landing!
It was tough, i dont show it in this video but this was very stressful bc i hate la ding to flat
@@nrmlmtber i can only imagine dude, puts alot of pressure on everything bike and us! I realised a dick ton of typos in what i Initially said also! Thanks for the reply dude, and thank you for repping us normal larger dudes and still shredding.
Interesting to see the amount of flex and shock action here. I tip in 220 and ride a S-Cruz 5010 but dont realize until after a descent how much a beating the bike took until I see the travel indicators!
I love this channel.
Thank you🙏🏻
Hey man. Just found you vids. Love them. Use to be 300+lbs myself but sitting about 250 but I’m 48 and just starting out and wondered if you had a basics of jumping for big boys. Couple of how to vids would be primo. You got the skills and sometimes a big boys need is different to feather weights. Also what ramp is that. Looking to buy one buy most are 100kg limit. Cheers
Building a stumpjumper evo right now can't wait! Let's give a shout out to the shoes as well! 😂
Youll love the evo! My favorite bike right now
4:42 when I go from my full suspension to my dirt jumper
This is a very fun test)) Good luck to you Bro I once also weighed 168kg (370LBS) but then decided it was time to change something in life and lost weight to 108kg, now 120kg (264lbs) And I was interested to see this test) Thank you and good luck in everything!
Did you start riding bike at 370 ? I’m there rn and can’t find a bike to support my weight, tires go flat when I get on.
@@818Macho no, at first I lost weight, and then I started riding a bike)
@@818Macho xl mountain bike or touring bike, aluminum frames
@@818Macho I’m having this problem as well. I’ve been looking for a bike to ride (any suggestions thank you) so I can lose weight get healthy & in shape.... I’m 360 I plan to get back to 200-215 my high school weight PLEASE PRAY FOR ME 😂
My guess is that you could make the hardtail landing better if you landed more rear wheel first. At least that's how I'm used to land when I rode bmx.
100%, it was hard with this jump and i also wanted to really put the bike to test
Hey love that you rep the bigger guys!! What psi do you ride at normally on tubeless set up
Best stress test ever seen
LOL great vid. Great soundtrack. thanks for being our crash test dummy
I want to see you testing bikes on jumps WHILE being abandoned in the forest! 😂
You need to stop predicting the future videos😂
I am 210 lbs and 6'3", and I ride incredibly aggressively. I ended up cracking my old 130mm frame, and stepped it up to a 140 this year. that 10 mil actually made a substantial difference. I do find that I feel way more at home on the 160 mil though.
hey man! fellow hefty lad here just wondering what pressures you're running on the enduro? looks like it handled it with no problem and im trying to get my suspension dialed in like that
Thank you for this.
Thumbs up for the classical music in the background!
I keep it classy😂
Hi! Just found your channel, awesome videos! Can you tell me what kind or brand of bike is the first one? The Enduro? I'm a big dude looking for a sturdy bike and loved it! Thank you!
I know that hurt. Thanks for the fun!
Hello, what full suspension bike would you recommend to try to replace a hardtail?
serious use even not very technical trial....
Holy crap your ankles looked like they hurt from that… props for going through this damn man…
Still soar from it😅
one time my friend went to a full-fledged bike park called Bryce bike park for the first time here in Virginia, and he went on his 2021 giant talon which is an entry level xc hardtail. he still sent double blacks though.
Baller💪🏼🤙🏻
yo i have a quick question, what spokes are you using? im digging the red !! i have roval rims aswell on my stumper evo pro
Well, thanks for the encouragement, all the bike shops I know don't want large riders on the demo bikes.
Damn that sucks!
Honestly all the bikes did better then I expected lol. It seemed like your shoes were having a harder time then the bikes! Gotta get you some Ride Concepts or that other brand I forget the name of.
Damn, man is brave! What kind of rear suspension would you recommend for someone weighing 400lbs who is not looking to do DH, just wants some comfortable riding in nature?
This was actually amazing video honestly I was wanting to see how these newer bikes stood up to our weight now I done DH and trial cross years ago and looking to just ease into it to get fit and loose the covid weight! I'm your size aswell and I've actually folded a Saracen when I was lighter and it was a friend's I was testing lol frame just bent and snapped at rear triangle pin mates to frame lol but you kinda put my mind at ease I don't know how my older kona stinkys gonna fair up but looking to get something newer anyway
Your bikes are screaming for a shock pump
SICK BRO!!
Man the fuse stanchions just vanished haha
“I’m good” says the man who was definitely not good
Yeaaaaa😅
Me crying with 100mm of travel on my dj
Next should be 60tpi single ply vs 120tpi dual ply and do casing etc
😂
Honestly the hardtail looked the most impressive in the slo-mo replays
Dude honestly you need to be a tester for these companies. This makes me feel better about the status 160 since I’m 170 but I think the status 140 she’d a few tears
Dude, pray for Hardtail.. although that's awesome!
i know you will probably never see this but is the song at 1:43 a remix of chopins waltz op 64 no 2??? thats super cool
The thumbnail was too good to miss.
I'm a big guy as well and when you can rip as big guy's shit gets tore up lol! Keep the videos coming. I watch them all. Oooo im 6' 275ish lol
What hardtail bike or brand would you recommend now days for a big fellow. Any info would be great - THANKS
You have to try norco from 2008 with marzocchi boost monster fork and big dh rear shock
Brother that was awesome
bruh i be rocking that 80mm travel 💪💪
What would you recommend running a pressure in your rear shock?
Fantastic. As a big guy, this type of video is sorely missing. Thank you! What pressures do you run in your fork and shock? Do you just add the max pressure? Cheers.
Thats why i make these videos!
And i run max psi in the rear shock and around 150psi depending on the form
@@nrmlmtber cheers. I’m running 300 in a factory fox shock and 120 in a factory 36 fork.
Now that's Science!
Only true science around here😅
As a 6'6 280lb man that rides hardtail, I felt that last impact in my soul.
Nice vid bro! My buddy working the van booth got to meet you at proving grounds he said you're cool af and you're as funny as you are in your videos.
Cool you did the status. Is that a zebra wrap or a paint job? Where did you order that wrap from if it is?
Thats awesome! No joke i know exactly who youre talking about, small world!
And the status is a paintjob done by TecGnar
@@nrmlmtber Thanks, I'll check them out.
lol. felt the pain on that huck to flat on the hardttail
Side bar...( I have probably two questions
Are you riding a coil over or is your shock maxed out
much appreciated! 👍
Baked Alaska was getting some serious air in this video.
the bike just goes sqwooooosh 😂😂
You rock! And my wrist hurt too!
What rims you got on that 4:18 hardtail? I need me some of those so my wheels stay true after going over a bunch of tree roots
5'11 305, Hardtail, I run the forks with max pressure. It's been holding like that for years.
At 2:43 it does look like you have a lil crack where the toptube meets the seattube 😅
I have a question. How rough are the wear on your shoes after a month's riding? Do you use flat pedals?
It entirelu depends on the pedals, if i have very grippy flat pedals ill go through shoes fast, but if they are milder i can make em last😊
Bikes before the jump: ffff.....
What mountain/e/fatbike would you recommend for a 340lbs 6'2? (4000$ budget)
The frame flex on the fuse 😳
Sit took it like a champ😂💪🏼
I just got this bike today because it was really cheap but I think I made the wrong choice in size since Im 5"8 and got an S3 140mm but I don't really ride DH trails and my focus is more on green to blue trails should I return it and get the S2. I feel that it will put me in a better climbing position the s2 seems to have a reach or a regular trial bike with a bit longer wheelbase. I would really appreciate any poters you have. Thank you!!!
I'm 6,4, 310. I prefer hard tails. I would like to see your review on fox 36 to 38 would be interesting to see your take on it
Your'e so sympathic.
I would love to see and actual riding test. As a big rider, I’ve 100% given up on full suspension bikes as the rear shocks never hold me up for more than a mile or two no matter how much psi I use.
💰 Great video man
I said a prayer for you and that hard tail with Chinese off brand pedals 😳🙏🏻
Thanks you🙏🏻
So what I’m seeing here is that at 6’2” and about 320lbs I should be okay on my 160mm Commencal Meta HT.
Did you set the same sag front and back each time?
I feel the pain of the last bikes
Looking to get into biking to try and get healthier. What bike suggestions do y’all have? I’m 6’3 368 pounds.
