Forget all the rolexes. I want this
I personally think omega make nicer watches than Rolex
@@Simps14 you get 100% more from omega than rolex for the same price
Mad Lad how much is this?
@@jsmith7888 6000 I think mate
@@jsmith7888 around 7400 depending if metal or leather strap
I was stunned seeing the detail on this piece when I visited my AD last week - machine finished world timers don’t get better
What I like most about this watch is that, unlike every other world timer, the dial still looks (apart from the world map in the center) like a regular Aqua Terra dial and is not dominated by the city names. Omega did a real good job here.
Beautiful watch
Edit: I’ve just looked at this in the AD and ended up getting it. I’m a Rolex fanboy but this has got to be nicer than many of the Rolex brand. Much nicer than the SkyDweller
Congrats Wigan Gamer!!! If you have a quick second, click through to our site and write a review of the watch. Our customers love to read about real world experience when shopping on our website. Here's the link:

Where to buy
When that inner dial rotated it brought a smile to my face. Love this watch. Beautiful and I like that it’s very much under the radar of most. Never hear anyone speak of this model.
Stunning piece for the traveller - Thx Tim...keep 'em coming...
Stunning! I don't travel for work now due to covid, but this is great to track my overseas colleagues' time zones when we have online video conferences!
omg this is definitely the most beautiful watch I've ever seen at this price
Grand seiko white birch comes to mind.
@@misteratoz gorgeous watch.
What a fantastic timepiece. Eloquent review as always, Tim. They should have named this one the Globemaster instead.
Omega could have very easily just put the Calibre 8906 (24H GMT hand) in the Aqua Terra and made a GMT Master/Explorer II competitor, but no, they had go ahead and make a world-timer instead. I have to respect that (even if it on the thick side).
If you've got a big enough wrist to pull this off (I'm inclined to say 7.5in or bigger; it would wear no differentto the 41mm on a 6.5-7in wrist) you could easily use this as your only watch, much like the regular AT.
Alternatively, with its 150M WR, this could be the only watch you bring globe-trotting, taking you everywhere from cocktail parties in Paris to surfing in Hawaii, all with a world time function to know when it is where ever you're heading next.
They do also make an aqua terra GMT
@@andricopoulos70 They did, and its actually still on the Omega website (I'm assuming you're referring to the GoodPlanet GMT in titanium), however its technically an older model, using the older (not METAS certified) 8606. Omega has made no effort since the Master Chronometer update in 2017 to make a regular production Aqua Terra GMT with the 8906 found in the PO600M GMT.
My point was that, as the 8906 already exists and is in regular production models, it would have been much easier for Omega to make a steel version of the GoodPlanet GMT, with the standard teak deck dial and METAS movement. Instead they put the effort into building a whole new (noticeably more complicated) movement and dial.
It's very impressive that they did this, but what makes the GMT Master and Explorer so great, is how well they fit on most people's wrists. Even the 42mm Explorer II fits just about the same as a Tudor Black Bay 41. The GMT Master fits perfectly for most people. When Omega made the Aqua Terra world timer this large, it's completely alienates a lot of people who don't have the wrist size for it.
Measurment isn't everything.
I tried on this watch and the wear is very reasonable on my 7+ inches wrist.
My Certina ds action 41mm wears big, my seiko sumo 45mm wears very similar, my iwc portuguese 42mm wears huge...
@@marvinberwart 7+ inch wrist is already on the larger end of the spectrum.
This one is so special and beautiful! Would love to have this in my collection.
You know those quick release strap pins can be inserted in a way that does not mark the watch, really worth it to check it out.
Lovely piece, well shot! Comes out way better than Sinn's pictures :)
Finally! I was waiting for this review made by you Tim. Beautiful piece, that I was in love with from the first sight, but unfortunately when I tried it first time in Omega Boutique it turned out to be too big and to flashy for me :( Gorgeous piece anyway, I wish it would fit standard AT 41mm case or have been made in titanium...
Gorgeous time-piece, nicely reviewed
Looks great on the blue rubber strap option too. Really cool watch.
This is my best watch so far. I love it. 2 years since I got and it still looks stunning. Hmm
I think this master piece deserve more review time... it’s a amazing piece ...
This just became my grail watch, I absolutely love it.
just orderererd one myself, i cant wait
@@Sh0n0 did you pay retail? I'm trying to figure out depreciation but can only see new ones online. Congrats it looks gorgouse
@@ChipZilla69 i would say i paid retail yes. it is a gorgouse watch indead
That dial is gorgeous...legitimately thinking of selling my GS Peacock to fund this and a Tudor BB
Let me know ho much for the GS pls
Now that was a great review of a great watch! Crammed a lot of detail in a few minutes, bravo!
Holy balls, that's a gorgeous dial. Very nice work from Omega.
Man, this is legitimately some James Bond type shit. Such a beautiful, versatile and functional watch. Incredible.
Wish they made this 41 mm and reduce thickness by 1 mm
Love it! Sadly I don’t have the wrist to pull it off.
Always a fan of your reviews Tim, very thorough. Could you start adding the watch weight to the reviews?
I love this watch ! Give me this watch and a Rolex Skydweller and I will be invincable !
Amazing and unique to itself.
Best looking world timer out there 😎 others look like kids maps compared to this
I’m thinking this would be the perfect GMT / traveling you can actually have ... love it
I love this watch
What a stunning piece
On my wishlist, albeit with an omega brown alligator strap.
When you can real multiple time zones at once why do people buy GMTs? Is there any advantage to a gmt complication?
my god that is amazing! I will get that watch one day!
fantastic piece!
Gorgeous watch!
I am considering this watch as an alternate to the Rolex GMT Master which is unnatainable and double the price .
Get the Explorer II. Fits better, and more legible.
Yeah get the Omega! Beautifully unique design, more practical than a GMT and all for a fair price! 👍
Wish this was a 40-41mm and 12mm thick.
This is glorious. 43 mm but only 50 lug to lug-stubby like the Aquis!
The first Omega that I kinda like.
Just missing the micro adjustment on bracelet otherwise near perfect.
so how do you quickly change the date?
Is there a waiting list for this worldt8mer?
How to set time for India do anyone know how to do it
HI, I am no expert on world timer.
Would like to ask, if I stay in Malaysia, which time zone should I set.
Also, if I travel to London for example, the watch will automatically set into London time zone when I step into London soil?
Tim, which one did you pick, the Britling AVIATOR 8 B35 Automatic UNITIME 43, or this Omega?
Wish they made a smaller version of this watch. Great watch though.
While I would have definitely liked to see it thinner (15mm is just that bit to much for a shirt cuff), I don't actually mind the 43mm size, as it makes the WT easier to read. A smaller dial would have required smaller text, and world timers are hard enough to read at the best of times.
That said, I have a flat 8in wrist, that let's me wear watches up to 50-55mm (although I prefer 40-45mm), so size really isn't an issue for me. If you have sub-7in wrists I can understand this being more of an issue though.
This timepiece looking so beautiful, maybe better with rubber strap
Available with a blue rubber strap
I like these but it’s pretty large and I always think the atlas style projections on dials are a bit... tacky... and that goes for Patek to! I wish they made a plainer dial variant.
My friend, that just means that they’ve made it for someone else.
Due to Covid this complication is useless for me at the moment.😥
Touché. I honestly didn't even notice the irony of reviewing a travel watch during a worldwide travel lock down.
LOL - always useful to know what time it is in your other offices around the globe. Even when you're stuck at home.
Gorgeous
Wonderful video like always! Keep it up Tim. Any owner experiences yet ? I am planning to pick one up next week so welcome any feedback from anyone who’s been wearing it. Thanks
Did you get it? How do you like it?
@@ltphilipg No I did not. I instead picked up the Speedmaster Moonphase 44.25mm Brown Dial only because I was offered a very good price on that. Watchbox has a review on that one too. Worldtimer remains on my wishlist:)
Do a rolex comparison please
Anyone knows the weight of this watch plz ?

How does the worldtime function work when it’s summer/winter time zone? Since Asia doesn’t have different time zones through weather
Cities in blue have no daylight savings time. Cities in silver do. Otherwise there's your cellphone.
I found this on Jomahshop but they only have the one with the blue band, where would you recommend buying the one with the metal braclet? Also the one without the metal braclet is a grand under the one you have however on Jomahshop it’s around 7k
We typically recommend getting the bracelet if you are at all interested in the bracelet - as it is much cheaper to buy straps later rather than buy a bracelet later. Good luck and feel free to email tmosso@thewatchbox.com or call us if you would like to talk more about this piece.

Even at 17cm wrist I feel this is gigantic on me
They'd have sold lots more, had their been Delhi, between Karachi and Dhaka
Wow. What can I say?
omgosh its only 12kAUD i thought it was gonna be hella expensive
Anyone know what steel quality they use on this watch?
316L stainless steel
Omega > Rolex
Might get a bit fed up removing and adding links to that bracelet.
Why on earth would you do it often enough to get fed up?
Do you share your watches with all your family?
Marvin Berwart having no on the fly adjustment of a bracelet on a piece that expensive isn’t the best solution. The 300 fixes that they should incorporate it here too. Unless you carry screwdrivers in which case no problem.
Ok, I see what you meant now.
Although when I get my bracelets adjusted, it's only once but if you like a fit that is always nice and tight it's true that a micro adjustment is a nice feature to have.
Marvin Berwart I use the micro adjust on my Rolex Sub all the time which helps in situations when your wrist swells due to heat. Leather straps aren’t an issue as you can change easily. I’ve got a non adjustable butterfly bracelet on my Omega Seamaster which is a limitation as sometimes it gets a little tight and I have to take it off. Omega need to roll bracelet adjustment out on all of their high end pieces.
not a problem with the rubber strap (which looks superior too in my opinion).
*Cries in 6 inch wrist*
strap it on your ankle and wear shorts!

Lovely dial but damn, it’s too big
🍾🙏🙏
Yay, congrats my friend...the watch and the review from the man!!
Pity its so oversized.
43mm diameter, 50mm lug-to-lug, recommended for a 15cm wrist 😂😂😂😂😂 I can see you had a little joint before this review 😒
this watch fucks hard 🥵🥵🥵
Omega really need to start making their watches thinner. Nobody wants a hockey puck on their wrist.
Actually many people do love thick watches
Good lookin but wont last.. rolex still the best
Rolex is perfect for old men.
Make it 40mm and add a minute track. Then it's perfect.
I assume the "engine" wouldn't fit within a 3 mm smaller frame?!
40mm would make it difficult to read.
@@Brian-ee1gx Not quite. I have a world time from the 60s that's only 37mm. Where there's a will there's a way.
Its already perfect. And if you are entitled to your own opinion go find something else
