I’ve just ordered this watch 🎉
Agree with you. After waiting for about a year and a half, my AD got ONE in. He called me and the rest is history!!.
Just got it at Bangkok Airport Omega Boutique for USD8k. Good deal. Gorgeous. Cant stop looking at it. :)
I wish I could afford that watch, I saved up over many years and own 2 watches, I have a Tag Heuer Aquaracer and an Avi-8 Flyboy. I really wanted to save up an but and Omega Seamaster 300m but just can't spend that kind of money on a watch, but this Aquaterra just became my No1 dream watch. Hopefully 1 day, but I doubt il ever pull the trigger with this price
Save up for a few years. Then get it or similar
"A true masterpiece" is the best way to describe that dial. Great watch. Look forward to your other 2 new Omega videos.
Locked eyes on this handsome beauty at an AD and itching to try one one. It’s such a great looking piece with a fascinating dial you can never get tired of. A timeless classic with a great presentation box.
Great brand. Omega is truly a top notch quality watch company. They listen to their followers and always strive for the next level of excellence. Way to go Omega!
Great comments, Domenico - I agree. Wouldn’t it be great if @omega would respond to you here?
This is probably the only watch I would ever need. Regardless of where she is, it is certainly nice to know what time it is, wherever my daughter is. The same goes for other friends of mine in the world. This watch allows me to keep track of them all
The only worldtimer I would consider..... Lovely designed and artistic dial. YET, not so confusing like most other world timers...
Love it, Damian. Coincidentally I'm wearing my Aqua Terra (2018, 41 mm, blueish slate dial with baby blue seconds hand) but I do prefer the rubber strap over the bracelet. The minutes hand lume isn't great after dark. But overall definitely a keeper, hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. Great video as always 👍
Picked mine up at the Omega Boutique store this week. I couldn’t be happier with it. Yes it’s a larger watch but still fits well on my small wrist. Cheers.
I purchased one of these a few weeks ago. Absolutely love it!! Great addition to my white dial Seamaster 300.
Good choice!
You will get no argument from me. This watch is magnificent!! The photos on the omega site do not do it justice. I just ordered the new moon watch. Now I have to save for another Omega lol. Great video as usual.
You are correct sir Omega is killing it .......
They really are, aren't they?
Brilliant program yet again !! thanks for the details on the Omega, omega has great heritage and are brilliant watches
Thanks for watching!
I kid you not, I was literally just watching your F40 video before I searched for 'omega worldtimer' as I'm looking to add one to the watch collection, and look who popped up. Didn't even know you had this channel. Subscribed!
Welcome aboard!
That’s a very very beautiful watch. Agree Omega have a superb range out just now.
Boy do your watches live hard lives. That worldtimer already has a savage burr on the top left lug, the bezel took a tumble somewhere too. And that Nautilus... looks like it has been regularly fetched from the watch box by your pet grizzly bear. I mean, good on you, I totally respect it. My watches are not babied at all, and have scratches, but neither do I use them as chew toys for my dogs ;-P Great video and I agree that the AT Worldtimer is a stunner, and also concur that Omega are totally on it right now. Amazing to see.
Yes I'm afraid I've worn that Nautilus a lot. Glad you enjoyed the episode.
Still have my Omega 1943 and still running . Vintage went to a watchmaker he told me it costs at least U5 4.000 , my dad gave to me .
Do you mean it was valued at US 4000? or US 54000? OR 154000???
Or was that how much it cost to oil up?!?!
Such a nice watch.. would love one but alas..I’m about to pull the trigger on the standard AT blue dial and rubber strap as love the sunburst dial colour and reflecting wedge like markers.
I was also lucky enough to purchase the Seamaster Spectre piece in 2015 when released. An incredibly clean piece!
Me too, love it!
Such a versatile piece (love switching up the fabric NATOs and even have an Omega leather NATO. Really switches up the look! The bracelet is nice as well, honestly like having two different watches!
It's a strap monster, I left the bracelet sealed and put it on an alligator strap from Jean Rousseau matching the dial and indices colours - beautiful.
The most expensive watch I've bought is an Apple Watch.... But for this I will get a luxury watch.
Wonderful review and presentation. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it
Beautiful watch,43mm is a touch big
It’s big on my small wrist but I don’t really mind as the watch is gorgeous.
Stunning watch.
Ahh Pragnell my local jeweller. I have a few watches hopefully coming from them including a green dial oyster and after that a blue dial date just (and hopefully a Cermit).
Nice
beautiful watch good luck
Great review and this video has me convinced to order the world timer from my local AD. Been debating for a couple of weeks, but now I’m convinced
Thanks!
Good choice!
Just got this today…it’s a damn masterpiece.
Good for you
Put in an order with my Omega AD here in Los Angeles for the steel on bracelet (with the rubber strap on the side). So excited to add it to my collection; thank you for the video! (Also, gorgeous Patek!)
👍👍
Definitely at home on your wrist. My 17cm wrist wasn’t enough estate to plant it.
Beautiful watch from a great brand.
Couldn't agree more!
Good content!
I have been gushing over this Aqua Terra ever since I got the new 3861 Speedie. I was on the verge of getting this until I realised I couldn't change into strap because of the centre lug protrusion.
I am going for the Breitling Aviator 8 Unitimer instead. The complication on that is quite interesting too - you move the city indices and the 24 hours indices and hour hand move too. It's like the Patek Philippe 5130.
Thats what I was thinking. Its limited in strap choice.
Oh... So an update. I couldn't justified the price tag for a Breitling Aviator 8 Unitime, plus it says Beijing instead of Hong Kong so I went for the Ball Engineer Master II Diver World Time.
Incredible bang for buck! Love it! It quite literally have everything I need and want! :D
A terrific and beautiful watch! Well done, Damian!
Very nice review! I have my eye on this one as well. Now... Omega, I hope you were listening. Pease include the strap along with the bracelet!
As always a great video! I’m pleased you’ve found Pragnell’s, they have always looked after me with my Rolex collection and I’ve consistently received outstanding service from both Marc and Vicky at their Stratford-upon-Avon showroom.
Snap , here. Here ... Great branch .. Shout out to Robert and Andrew .
Thanks Damien. I look forward to your videos each week. You mentioned this watch a few weeks ago. I went to the local authorized Omega retailer and they had a world timer in stock. It is beautiful, but very large and thick. Looks good on your wrist, but it seems bigger than 43mm. I’d love to know what you thought of the FP Journe Blue Byblos limited edition.
I Looooooove this watch... it’s stunning. Great episode Damien, I Loooooove this watch... sorry, already mentioned that 😂
Another great review from my favorite watch guy......no pun intended , I've never bought a sports watch on anything other than bracelet but I do like how the blue rubber looks
Glad you enjoyed it
very nice watch! You can buy the rubber strap from Omega boutique separately and they are not too expensive
Thanks for the tip! Good to know
Yes sir! Mine is coming tomorrow!!!! I am so pumped!
@@abdulrshahid I did man I got it today's morning! And all I can say is that it was worth it! I actually sold my Submariner in order to buy this one because I think it gives you more for your money than the Submariner did. So yes I love this Aqua terra World Timer GMT a lot! Can't wait to use it when traveling.
Nice video. Well done
Thank you very much!
Nice, like it. I must admit to being an Omega fanboy, have a couple of seamasters, speedy is next. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
I can’t wait for the review of the two speedmasters you have on order. They are incredible pieces. I think I would be looking at the case backs as much as the faces on those two. The 321 movement looks incredible close up. Omega are doing some beautiful watches at the moment. I have the new Speedmaster sapphire sandwich on my radar at moment 😬
Everything I’m seeing says this is a great watch. Having said that I also heard that you’re going to want to put the watch on before buying it. Some thing about the edges being really sharp on your wrist.
I have. I recently bought an Omega seamaster 300 diver. I got an excellent price, for a not so great watch. I grew up seeing my dad's seamaster, and am a big Bond fan. I agree the Rolex, which my dad also owns, paid $500 in 1975 GMT, Pepsi bezel is over hyped, and overpriced. The reason I'm disappointed in the 300 is,it's just not a good dive tool. I realize with the advent of dive computers, a dive watch is redundant, but I still like doing the tables. I'll admit I'm hard on everything I own, which is why I bought the 300. I thought it would take the hard ware it was definitely gonna get. I have a 7 inch wrist, and it wears big on me. The see-through case back is a thing, but serves no purpose. If you're a big guy,a desk diver, and don't worry about scratches, it could be a good choice. This isn't sour grapes. Just sharing. I bought it to replace my Tag Aquaracer Quartz,of which I'm not a fan. The Tag failed at 6ft when I was scraping the bottom of my sailboat. I also own a Seiko Turtle 6309-7049, that I got new in 1984. Biggest problem with the Seiko is parts, but I'll leave it at that. The Seiko still runs, but needs service. If I were to buy another watch,it would probably be the new iteration of the Turtle. Less than $500($180 in 1984),and 40 years of dependable diveability. Just FYI. Capt.Bob, SV (Sailing Vessel) 27th Chance, Tampa Fl. PS: Oh,i I did get the same box,and papers. $4400 US. Didn't get the Master Chronometer Card. 😕
Thanks for that, Robert - very interesting to hear your thoughts.
Great review, thanks. Saw this watch teased ages ago by Omega and then it took forever to appear anywhere. Saw in Bangkok on the blue rubber and loved it. Think it’s probably too big for me though!😢 Wrist size about 17.25-50cm -not like your tree trunks!
It looks like you have a monocle loupe. If so, it will work much better if you hold it the other way around (ie wide end towards your eye). Thanks for the interesting video!
👍👍
Nice plug on pregnells at stratford upon Avon...they are the only official JP Journe AD in the UK now 😜
Yes they are!
Congrats Damian. Love it.
“Why not? We’re amongst friends!” Hahahah great one Damian! Been waiting for this video since it was under the blue jumper last week :D
Love it! Another fine choice Damien really love that world timer what do you think of the new Grand Seiko masterpiece spring drive? I saw one the other day and it just blew me away beautiful piece
this One is just stunning. Nice review 🙌
Thank you! 🤗
I agree everything about this watch except the cities are not very visible, especially the one in grey color. I went to my local AD to check it out but I could not see the cities very clearly even in close to window light. Still on the fence!
Persuaded indeed 😊
👍👍
I would love to see your review on 321 when u get it and how it compares to the regular 3861 speedmaster.
I've now cancelled it, so I guess there won't be one.
I do agree it would be nice if they included the rubber strap as well. What kind of discounts are people getting in Canada for this watch?
I would have thought 10-15%
Just picked up the world timer in rosegold
Couldn’t be more jealous
Congratulations!
I think you should look into the Montblanc geosphere, you would probably like that worldtimer.
Dude your killing me ,the man maths is kicking in lol
Awesome 👏
Thank you for the vid. I love this watch but I cannot get my head around how it is able to show time/cope with GMT/DST & no DST, I know you mentioned red, silver & blue but I think I'm.lacking the intelligence to do so. Say I lived in the Cayman Islands with no DST, I have the main, centre time set to say 3pm local, London during the Summer would be +6 GMT so 9PM, and then during DST +5 8PM. How would this be shown on the circular dials, and do I adjust the dial manually twice a year to reflect this change? If you could explain or even better show us in a separate video, would be fantastic as my head hurts. A new subscriber here!
Hi Damien, your thoughts on GP would be fantastic to hear. I have always loved them as they are unusual but have truly horrific used values, meaning great value? If not GP, then which brand and watch would you buy as a used bargain. Your budgets are £2k, £5k and £10k. Good luck sleeping tonight with the question in your melon! Great video again!
I've not got a single, GP, David. Like you say, they often lose a big chunk of value, and I've not found any I've liked. I'm not sure I've ever found a used bargain, but Seikos from the 70s give me lots of joy.
Used budget of £2k - Tudor, Bell & Ross, Raketa, Doxa, Oris, Seiko, Grand Seiko
£5k, Omega, Kurono, Breitling
£10k, Rolex, Vacheron
Wow, have not seen the full gold speed aster in the wild, nice! Can you do a vid on that piece?
I have already 👍
Very nice video but it looks like you’re holding the loop the wrong way
if it only was thinner, it would be a 10/10 with the blue strap
Stunning watch, the detail in the centre of the dial is incredible. My favourite of your collection is still the Alaska though.
Recently saw this piece and it is chunky and beautiful but the bracelet quality is not good enough for the price
Your beginning to annoy me Damien. Each week my grail list gets bigger and BIGGER. Joking apart, that's one stunning watch the detail, as with most Omega's, is simply stunning. Would be nice if they do a southern hemisphere as well. Great addition to the collection.🍺
Any chance of an episode dedicated to your world timer collection, or world timers in general? Thanks
Maybe
I believe Pragnall’s are the only AD for F. P. Journe in the U.K.
I think that is the case, yes
@@TheWatchGuysTV maybe a F. P. Journe should be your next watch.
Make sure you use the loupe the correct way next time ;) thanks for the review and keep up the good work.
You know you can use it both ways, right?
How do you find these watches I ask
Beautiful watch. Although at the price point I’d be surprised it has a hesalite crystal (3 minutes) instead of sapphire.
According to the Omega website, the crystal is domed sapphire with AR treatment on both sides.
This Omega looks much better than Patek under your black jumper;)
Er...
Damien. I’ve always loved that this watch, but I wanted to know if the map rotated or just the hours - the plain green aqua terra is also ‘the business’. I’ve got a feeling that it is only the geosphere heritage made by Montblanc that actually rotates.
Hiya, just to confirm - the map remains stationary, along with the city markers pointing to the map. The only thing that rotates is the hour ring
Correct - you beat me to it, FifthPint
What was the weight of the watch in grams?
Great review again Damian. I agree the watch should come with both straps. Did you enquire if the blue strap could be bought separately?
Apparently you can buy it separately
This is the second time I’ve seen this watch BUT no one including yourself explain how the world timer actually works ……. Again I’ve listened to an overview with no detail ? … In other words how the watch is set up and how you can then identify the different time zones … ie… set up for the UK then checking what’s the time in Hong Kong?
It makes me crazy that a watch that costs several thousands, still has no micro adjustment. For instance, it holds me back to get an Omega Aqua Terra and a steel Grand Seiko. Just cannot understand it
I'm itching for a moonphase
🤟
Love the video’s.. just wish you bought some gloves that fit.. 😬
😂😂😂
I can’t help it, I’ve got boxer’s hands 😀
They are producing so many limited edition watches....THEY AREN'T HOLDING THEIR VALUES.
Agreed.
Are you going to get any Olympic watches. The white & red Tokyo 2020 looks lovely. :)
Definitely not
@@TheWatchGuysTV ok just a thought. :)
holding the loupe backwards...
It works both ways, and in low light, it doesn't make a difference. The cowl works well in bright light.
I’ve got to ask. Here in Canada they are asking 12,200 on a rubber strap for this watch Is that to much
Yes, that’s crazy
@@TheWatchGuysTVcan you find this watch and if so how much would you sell it to a Canadian
Beautiful and another great review. @therealcarsandchrono
U can find brand new for 5500 euros..that’s omega
Is it possible to swim with omega world timer?
150m/ 500ft water resistance - so yes.
@@TheWatchGuysTV thanks million
Just can't get into omega, no idea why.
Hope you gor 30% off
My grail...
I don’t like it
40mm and a minute track and this would be an immediate buy
It would be too small to see the 24 hours indices. Most World Timers are 42mm +, with the except for Patek and GP. They are like the Navitimer. You can only get so small before the tool becomes hard to read.
@@BatCountryAdventures 2mm is hardly an insurmountable challenge. Though I admit, watch companies today are not what they once were. My Seiko world timer made back in 1964 is only 37mm. The same watch if it was made today would be a horrible 43mm or worse. For me this Omega is an abject failure. It's a tool watch without the functionality of which it purports to have. It's about principle. No matter how beautiful it may appear I wouldn't wear it even if it were free.
