Thanks for the maintenance video
Thanks for the hack. I just started this R&R on my ‘96 Z71 and pulled the plastic lower dash off & then realized I was going to have to drop the column. I marched my ass right back inside the house to look for a local mechanic to pay to do this job…but decided to see if there were any videos to show how to do it without messing with the steering column. Yours was the second one I watched. I will give it a try.
It's not a hard job the only hard part is the clip, when your installing it back. Just make sure to take a picture of how the clip is that way it don't give you any issue or install it wrong. The only reason the clip is the hard part is because the amount of space it has but it's possible as you can see, good luck and Thank You For Watching...
Thanks for the hack bro I thought I was going to have to remove the steering column cause I have a 95 Yukon
Thanks , the clip is the hardest part
Yeah it sure is, especially if you have big hands.
Awesome in site. I HAD WATCHED THE OTHER VIDEO YOU TALKED ABOUT AND WAS LIKE NO WAY YOU HAVE TO REMOVE ALLL THAT THANKS FOR THE VIDEO.
Glad I could help
Thanks buddy! I'm working on this at rhe moment!
But how’d you get the clip back in? Seems like it’d be a massive pain
It's easier to install it than removing it.
I was thinking the same thing
My c-1500 Sierra does not have a clip it has like a lock cap on the shaft.
Bro I’m so happy I found your video first, I haven’t ever had to do one yet so this should be cake now!
No problem at all, I'm glad I could help.
That's bull shit, he is a pro, this shit I'd hard, thanks for the info. Lg
Thanks for showing this! Other videos show removing the steering column like WTH? They were good for a little bit of comic relief though
No problem at all that why I'm here so you guys don't work harder.
@@HTXSuspensionshow do you put it back on?
Am trying to get mine off but is hard any other way besides it to get around the clip does it half to come off
The only other way is by removing the entire steering column.
The clip has to come out because thats what holds the brake booster from inside. If you don't remove it you won't be able to remove the brake booster.
Cant you just take two bolts out and lower the column?
You can but then you have to becareful so it won't turn. This way it's faster and more simple.
Do you know what size clip that is I'm at auto zone rn and it's a pack of 4
No sorry
so what after the clip?
Do i have to bleed the brakes after ?
No you don't..
Wish me luck - gotta change mine soon
Good luck, this job is not bad unless you have big hands.
@@HTXSuspensions medium hands here sir lol
