Imagine it being at the back of your desk underneath a monitor or connected to the back of a tv or monitor. I’ve been using Apple product since 1982 but I don’t understand these Apple apologist who will defend Apple stupidity no matter what
lol I’m a Apple fanboy. But even this was silly to me. So I just put tit out there and I’m getting so much hate. lol. I still love it and I’m not going to return it. But it’s just good to be informed when you buy something and that’s what I did. It’s. It nothing so that’s why I put it out there.
Ya it was a last min thing. I made the video thinking it was silly to make this video but I just wanted to put it out there. I tune my Mac off once a week. But now I’m going to leave it on sleep. But after I set it up and I had to hit the power button it was more difficult then when stuff wasn’t hooked up. lol. You should have seen me holding a light and my phone in one hand. And me trying to (fake) turn it on my Mac. But I’m an Apple fanboy so I love this Mac mini M4 and I’ll be keeping but I’ll leave it on sleep.
Lol. This is not Clickbait. This is a video review just letting people know that this is a situation that they have to deal with. It is a simple solution by leaving it on I am letting it go to sleep. But it’s not just me there are people now making 3-D printed parts to solve this problem. So there’s a need for it out there and people are solving the problem. But that’s what we do on these with the reviews we put out the things about the products that are not always the easiest that some people that are getting paid by the company won’t say it. So you’re welcome now everybody knows about this and they can either choose to deal with it. Leave it to go to sleep or buy a 3-D printer parts.
Apple up charges for internal storage. They put the power button on the bottom to combat the Mac Mini dock market. Specifically those that include extra storage. Plain and simple!
Understood that the power button is a bad apple. I don't like it either however I use mine upside down since I turn on/off my mac everyday. Plus it is better for cooling anyway without any air restrictions.
Yes I have found another daily power cycle. Yes you are in the top 3 comments for tune the Mac on the top. The others are turn it on the side. And I think the best one and maybe you should try this instead is putting it on a thick coaster. This is the best bc the mac still will look nice and it put all the vents on the bottom which can pervert more dust and unwanted stuff from goin into the computer. Lol I had a computer at work that had the vents on the top. Spilled my water on the desk and the smallest one dropped hit the vent and my computer died. So try the coaster thing it could be the best option. Comment back if that work for you. Thanks for the comment.
Ask around to your friends how often do you turn off your computer. I ask 50 of mine and they all say min of 4 times per year to 12 times. If you ask my older people they sometimes turn it of after every use which is silly but I do know a hand full that does that. So everyone does it. It just depends on how much. But they should have but it on the back we’re there last on was and just made it an aluminum button to match the look of the case or they could have done something cool link one of the comment and make the apple log the button. But ask around and get back to me. Make sure to ask more the 20 people so you not just in your friend bobble bc all of you probably think alike. And give them the time frame of last year. And comments back and let me know.
Just put some rubber feet on the bottom of it to lift it up a tiny bit for your finger to get to it. The 3.5 in front I dont like but they put it there for headphone users and upcoming VR headsets to plug in for a spatial use.
Ok sounds good. I think I have had the rubber feet on the top comment like 3-4 times so you have a good I idea. Thanks for that. And the head phone jack should have been on the back for people that have more video editing set ups like it’s always been. And there have been some comments about a usb c to 3.5mm so that would be good for vr. But we will see maybe they will be pushing vr more next year so there just future proofing it. Things to think about.
Just got mine, replacing a 2015 iMac i5 quad 24GB, 3TB fusion. This M4 Mini Pro 14/20, 64GB 4TB SSA is awesome. No more Insta 360 X3 4K video playback stutters or beachballs and a Norton full system scan now takes about 8 minutes to the 45+ minutes on the iMac 😀.
Put the mac mini on a coaster to raise it and voilà, you're now able to slip your finger to the back and hit the power button. Are people really complaining about this being an issue?
Lol yes, using coasters is a solution to this problem. But this is a problem do you know it is something because people are making 3-D printing solutions to solve this. So it’s not just me. But it’s just like the magic mouse for the charging port on the bottom, I think it’s Apple, searching for a little bit of controversy and for people to have a little bit of buzz about the product and keep it in the news.
I can see both sides. Apple could have put a silver flush button (Mac Studio) around the rear quarter. They could have made it the size of an iPhone button and put it next to the front headphone jack. But consider this. There is no button on the Apple TV. None. It is on the remote. A computer is slightly different. Very slightly.
Not a deal breaker. Several people already shared solutions including risers, mounting upside down under the front of desk, or spring gizmo so you press down on corner where on off button is.
I used a 3.5 to usb-c convertor to plug my speakers into the back. It works fine for casual use and gives the front a much cleaner appearance. For $500 with apple eduction store I am really happy with it so far.
I agree there are solutions to these problems. But using a 3.5 mm conversion to USB-C takes out another port from the back. But really, it’s a great deal no matter how you cut it. I had a Mac mini M1 went it came out, and I was loving it. And I have a problem with the power button but there’s more ram. There’s no way that you can beat the price. Especially if you have an education discount.
@@southcoastdesignz I would say use a USB c hub that has multiple ports (SD Card readers, USB A, and USB C Ports, HDMI and a 3.5mm). This way the port isn't going to waste.
Most modern Monitors have a 3'5 headphone jack... There's no need to connect your speakers in the front of MacMini. This headphone jack is mostly for headphones.
The front ports and be used for a Ssd they are normal usb c ports that transfer 10gbs. The rear ports are thunderbolt 4 ports that transfer 40gbs or if you have the pro they are thunderbolt 80gbs.
Lol this is the first desktop computer in history that put the power button on the bottom and didn’t give you any room to press the button. Lol and half of that was me acting to. You know if you only have to hit this button is during power outage (meaning when the power comes back on) or when you have to hard reset it. I bet you will be fumbling trying to find that button.
I have never turned my mac off or my iphone unless I'm installing an update or something goes wrong which is rare with mac. I am currently waiting for my m4 24gb ram hasn't delivered.
Well this was was more to inform the people that do turn their computer off. Lol. Most of the older generation turn their computer off. Some even turn it off after every use. I know a few. But this will just force me to just leave it on sleep mode. I just watch a pc guy say that all off the major power house mini pc have the power button up front and the mac decides to put it on the bottom and he said just embrace the memes. lol I’m a Apple fanboy and even I think this is silly discussion. But I still love it. You can beat it for the price. That’s nice the you got the 24gb model. I ordered mine within hour of preorder. So that way I got my on the 8th. Hopefully yours comes in soon and comments back and let me know how you like it.
@@southcoastdesignz I watched another video about them and one guy said two things interesting about the power button. First it was put there just to get people talking and create a big hype and look how much attention the mac m4 got because of it. The second was for security reasons like if someone came in your home or anything like that they wont be able to find the power button or turn on your device. Also I was told by an apple associate not to turn them off its not necessary actually does more harm then good.
I have 4 small rubber feet stuck on the top of my new mini, and the whole device is sat on my desk upside down. Check out the youtube teardowns and see hot this is the best way to mount the mini if heat dissipation and port damage are your concern.
Thank for the video! Honestly it is not a big deal at all because you’re going to use that power button maybe 20-30 times for the next 5 years and you can avoid if this number if you really want to by changing the settings in the mac os to restart instead of shutting down in case of a power outage. By the way, you can just flip it and use it upside down to get the power button on top and better thermals haha
actually this is the strategy by the apple, like there MacBook's, they want us to never shut down there macs as well, so they placed button at the bottom where it is difficult to press and people just loose the habit of pushing the button
Ya I know the big brains at Apple did it for a reason. But I think it’s to give it more hype. But all the Apple fanboy will be in one camp. And the other people will be taelling them it’s stupid that they put the power bottom on the bottom. lol I’m an Apple fanboy. lol and I step out of line and I’m getting the hate. But I just put it out there so everyone can be an informed buyer. That’s it good or bad. I’m loves the Mac mini m4. I’m not returning it. But that doesn’t mean that I can’t speak up when they make silly choices like this.
Most modern Monitors have a 3'5 headphone jack... There's no need to connect your speakers in the front of MacMini. This headphone jack is mostly for headphones.
Most people I see on there desk set up like me have a nice set of speaker with subwoofer 2 monitors if not more and usb hub of docking station. And you are telling me no one use there head phone jack for their sound system. Come on. Usually if you want losses audio I know you hook up there usb c. But maybe me and about 50 people I know us the head phone jack for the sound system and they us the usb a or usb c for their headphones. Ask around and give me the breakdown. But I have 50 to 0 for using the headphone jack for sound system. As around and comment back.
lol I turn mine off once a week. And my dad turn his off every time he uses it. If you ever call tech support. The first thing they will ask you to do is turn you computer off and not restart it. lol. You should turn it off at least quarterly. That what I think.
If you ever notice that your phone is getting slow for example, you should turn off or hard reset or power cycle as they say. Have you ever called to tech-support and one of the things they will tell you is to turn off your computer and off turn your phone and off turn your device and turning off your device at least quarterly it’s something that you should do a couple times a year to keep problems from showing up.
@@southcoastdesignzbro i work in a APP. Im just telling that ppl who said that the location of power button is a downside it is not. If mac mini is running slow, u just restart. I u have to power down the device 4 times a year it really matter the location? I think not
Well I turn off mine all the time. I almost never restart. lol well I guess time will have to change bc this will make me leave it on sleep mode and restart.
Well, usage habits differ. Why do you turn that mini off at all? Just send it to sleep. Or if you are away for a longer period, the device is still lightweight even with the cables, to raise it and press the button.
lol. Ya I know it’s something to know. I’m going to keep mine but it’s just something to be aware of. I hope you have a good experience. And that for stopping buy to watch my video.
Just get a couple stick on rubber feet on the top, and flip it over. Yes it’s stupid but stop your whining. Flip it over it’ll get better airflow in your power buttons on top. And 90% of people don’t use the power button anyway you rarely have to turn your Mac off.
Lol you would be surprised to see that some people are different. I turn my computer off. And my dad turns his off for today or whenever he uses it so people grow up doing some things differently. But since power button on the bottom, I’m more likely to sleep mine go sleep instead of turning it off from now on.
@@southcoastdesignz Leaving the Mac mini M4 on rather than turning it off daily would likely still: 1. It minimizes wear and tear on internal components by avoiding frequent shutdowns and startups or reduce wear on components from daily power cycling, 2.Consume minimal power when idle or asleep, 3. Allow for a faster wake-up compared to a full reboot. I had an imac from 2009 and never turn it off after over 10 years working perfectly, i just upgraded to a macbook.
@@Diegutzo hi i do understand that people don't shutdown their mac, but i live in remote area where power gets cut for 3 to 4 hours straight. So I can't leave it on sleep mode since it might damaged it What should i do?
Ya when you make things smaller you have to make sacrifices. The Magic Mouse the charging port is on the bottom. lol and the mini m4 the power button is on the bottom. I think it the marketing team getting free press bc they know people will talk about it. That’s what I think. But it really doesn’t matter at the end bc it’s powerful and most people will just overlook it and just leave it on sleep mode. I just wanted to put it out there.
What is LR. I might be to old to know that that is. Lol. I think the base model is the sweet spot. 16 gigs of ram with 256 storage like I said in the video get a Samsung 1 TB SSD as your main storage. And only put your programs on the main computer. I’ve routed everything that I use to the SSD and have had no problems. I’ve had the Mac mini M1 since it came out and did this method and I’ve only filled up 60 gigs on the main computer and have it all my photos videos and etc. on the SSD with no problem.
Lol. I don’t think you should buy the Mac Studio. Maybe the M4 version but not the older ones. But like I said, in several responses, this is just a notice of what I observed, and what the early reviewers didn’t make a big deal out it. And like I said, it’s something that Apple probably did to cause a little bit of buzz and have people talk about it. Like we’re doing right now. They’re smart people have complained about the magic mouse but they haven’t really fixed it.
OMG!!!! I just ordered mine and this is a dealbreaker! I wish I knew this before!!! Seriously now, who turns off their Mac instead of putting them in sleep mode? I had Macs for years without ever turning them off once, with no issues.
Lol. I turn mine off once a week. This is the force of habit of power cycling the device to keep it fresh. But it definitely is not a dealbreaker. I’m still keeping mine, and like you said now probably just going to sleep and not ever turn it off. But for the Normies out there, Mom‘s dad’s grandmas and grandpas that will be getting this. At least they know that this is a situation. They have to work around him either lift it up or buy risers or just leave it on sleep.
I got mine in yesterday. It isn't a problem for me at all since I leave mine on, but if you care about the functionality enough, I imagine third party docks will be made to make it more accessible. You could also flip the thing upside-down without any consequences (other than the aesthetic).
not a issue to power on/off even if another one was stacked on it… as if its 500 pounds of something… my audio rolls thru DP or HDMI and i plug into the monitor… everyone always with the crying… don’t like it, make your own mac..
Yes a hub is nice. But if you want the max speed to a Ssd you should use the port directly on the back of the Mac mini 4. Check out the specs on most hub and there no were near the speed of Mac mini m4.
Help me understand this "problem". I have a MacBook hooked up more or less stationary and I never turn it off, so why would I need to press the power button like ever?
Well you should have it hooked up the power the whole time. That is a good way to kill ur battery. Do that long enough and you all day battery life will go down to a few hours I know it happens bc my sister did listen to me and we told a trip and her computer die after a few hours. I suggest you to get a Mac mini if you are alway stationary. Then leaving it one sleep would be not a bad thing. And keep the MacBook for when your mobile. lol try and take ur MacBook off power and you let me know if it last for the 8hrs. If it does make a video and I’ll give you a thumbs up on your video. Let me know and I’ll watch it.
@@southcoastdesignz True, now this is an old one with a junk third-party battery anyway. (reminds me to check for bulging). Still, the Mini doesn't have a battery...
Really your worried about the power button? This is way over dramatic. Most people just use sleep. Also there is 3d printed models floating around the internet that can make the power button much more easily used.
Lol. So this must mean that there is a problem. If they are 3-D models, putting around, that will take care of this issue then there is a problem that needs to have a fix. Like I said, it’s a great product, but it’s just some weird things. Like magic mouse with a charging port on the bottom this one with the power button on the bottom. I think it’s done more to have some buzz of controversy like this, but like I said, I just wanted to put it out there. The more people are aware of it for Normies that are buying it. I don’t care I love Apple, and I will keep on buying no matter how goofy things happen to be.
Brian Tong. All the fanboys wet themselves over this new mac mini mainly because of the size. Was anyone asking for a smaller size? Yes it's faster but every generation of any Apple device is always faster. They went to 16gb ram which is something they should have done a long time ago and also 256GB is laughable. I never thought about people who will connect external speakers, which is a must if you don't use the $1600 studio display. And I must be really carbon neutral as I turn off my 2017 iMac off every night. Apple use to have auto on in system settings but now I have to make a shortcut via terminal for auto boot.
Good job for that reference. You r the first one 👍. Yes they like to go smaller when people don’t ask for it. The best one is the new iPad got thinner to just beat Samsung table. It has the same battery performance. But we could have got more battery life with the larger size iPad. So yes they do that.
Thank you for sharing the video. I find it perplexing why many other content creators continue to assert that it is acceptable to place the button at the bottom because we rarely use it. A poor user experience is always a poor user experience. Their justification is similar to Apple’s decision to omit 16GB of RAM from the base model of the M2 Mac mini, arguing that we do not require it. This is simply horrendous.
No you should still buy it. But I love how powerful it is. You really can’t beat it. But this is just like the Magic Mouse and the charging port on the bottom. Apple just wants us to talk about. lol so I did. I put it out there but that’s what they want. lol. It’s still a good buy but I put it out there so people can be informed buyers. That’s it. The bad thing is that when the big UA-cam are getting paid they won’t give there real options. So I do t have that problem so I just speak it out and let people make there own decision.
@@southcoastdesignz thank you. As rare as it might be, some of prefer to power off, maybe if they are in RV, off-grid hybrids, etc. Even if mac mini has relatively minimal power draw.
lol I know it’s just like the Magic Mouse with the charging port on the bottom. They want people to talk about to get free press and they know people will buy it anyway. lol I did. And I still love it bc of the performances.
This type of content really makes me think that some people are just not made for the world honestly, if this is such a problem for you then maybe you should really reevaluate your existence because goddamn it’s really not that deep. What’s next complaining for nothing.
I’m sure this I a bigger issue than you think. I think there is a 95-100% of younger people that think just like you. But for the older generation it’s way more common than you think. Ask about 20 people over 45. And get back to me and let me know what they say. lol I told my dad that you just have to leave this Mac on sleep mode and it will be fine. I went to his house and I saw him pick the Mac up hit the power button. I told him just leave it on sleep mode. lol what do you know he immediately turned it off when he was done. So ask around to get a better idea and you will see it’s not nothing like you think.
@@southcoastdesignz This uses 5 to 4 W when idol I don’t think leaving it on is that much of a problem and you saying that it’s older people who will confirm your bias only reinforces my point because these people who are 40 lived in a time where computers used to drain and take a lot of energy and just overall be loud when you put it on sleep mode the reason why these people who are this age is because they lived in a time where it did matter where did make a difference but we don’t live in that time anymore
@@southcoastdesignz t unless you have in your bedroom and you hate the fact that light is on I don’t see any logical reasoning behind your concerns might as well complain that TVs don’t have a completely off button and you have to unplug them if you do it’s the same type of pointless actually I would say that the TV not being able to completely turn off without needing to unplug, it is a much more logical argument, and concern than this
@@southcoastdesignz technologies on your TV that’s on your phone. The reason why you don’t completely unplugged or turn off your TV when you’re done using it or your phone is because we don’t need to it’s pointless unless you’re tired of the little red light on your TV with the white light on or somehow afraid to be spied on using your phone. I don’t see any reasoning that would even merit a bit of attention or consideration
The real reason that the power button is on the bottom is twofold: first many people may be using them in series for servers or as a portable unit so in those cases it will likely be turned on once for the servers and every time you set up a mac mini mobile workstation, second the switch to thunderbolt without any usb-a meant that the small usb-c type connectors are small enough to press the power button by mistake, they could rearrange the gigabit ethernet port but blind hands switching a thunderbolt could always come into contact with the power button, same with the audio jack, they decided to treat the problem with a solution that not everyone would be satisfied with. People are also complaining about changing server rack size if they upgrade to the new m4 Mac mini.
Ok that makes sense. I was just talking to the Normies out there that are buying this for their grandmas, grandpa, moms, and dad. I got one for my dad and he turns his computer on and off every day. And I just let him know it’s something that is there and you just have to let it go to sleep instead of turning on and off. It’s something that just needs to be said, but like you said, for those reasons you gave it makes sense.
@@southcoastdesignz I know, no bashing your take. Good review, from the average buyer's perspective. Obviously industry seems to care more about profit margins than button placements.
I now have watch tons of videos and I don’t know if they are copying me. But there more video giving this power button on the bottom a more negative spin. Don’t get me wrong I’m a apple fanboy. So it’s a powerful Mac for a great price. I still love it but I’m honest at pointing out when they do something silly like this. I got one for my did and I had to explain to him that the power button is on the bottom and he needs to stop turning his computer off with every use. The older generation does this a lot. As you elder that are 50 and up. Must if this generation turns of their computer more frequently. Ask around and you’ll see.

If it’s not a problem why are the 3d printed parts starting to show up if there isn’t a problem to be fixed. The big UA-camrs did mention it. So they knew it was a problem but they are being paid so they can make a big deal about it. And if you say they are not being paid. That may be right but a bad review will make sure they are not on the list for the next new launch. And you know that’s true. I a just raising awareness. Just my opinion for an easier life. Someone people says the keyboard is expensive, kind of yeah but if we already bought the Mac mini then why not the keyboard and make it more simple 😉
just turn it upside down, wifi antennas are on the bottom anyway.

Nice I hope you enjoy it. I love mine.
Lmao people actually use Norton?
@@Freestyler4130 Yeah many do special one 🤣.
Can you plug SSD's up to the front USB C ports? If not, what can the front ports be used for?
also want to know this
The front ports and be used for a Ssd they are normal usb c ports that transfer 10gbs. The rear ports are thunderbolt 4 ports that transfer 40gbs or if you have the pro they are thunderbolt 80gbs.
the power button could have been the apple logo on the top
Yes yes yes. lol that would be cool. It would be nice if it has a white out line glowing when it’s on. I think that would be cool. 😎
just drill a hole through the table where the power buttons at,or you could use two hands and pick up the Mac mini😂
Find what button? It's under the back left corner. Give me a break dude.
Update i have also put mine in a Minsforum UM690 cradle mount fits very nice with the cradle mount strip of rubber taken off.
Just turn it upside down if that button means that much
I have never turned my mac off or my iphone unless I'm installing an update or something goes wrong which is rare with mac.
You shouldn’t need to manually turn it off and on often at all though… i dunno what the issue is
I have 4 small rubber feet stuck on the top of my new mini, and the whole device is sat on my desk upside down. Check out the youtube teardowns and see hot this is the best way to mount the mini if heat dissipation and port damage are your concern.
Yes several people have that opinion. But I like the rubber feet idea. That’s a good one. Thanks for the comment
The power button is not a damn problem. Give me a break.
More likely 10 times in 5 years, excluding a power outage due to nature. Restarts for security updates don't require you to press the "on" button.
I totally agree!
I got mine day of release. So far I touched the power button once- to turn it on.
lol. I know. Well if you have the new Apple wireless keyboard they tell you to double tap the power button.
"Problems"
Non factors for me lol
actually this is the strategy by the apple, like there MacBook's, they want us to never shut down there macs as well, so they placed button at the bottom where it is difficult to press and people just loose the habit of pushing the button
As around and comment back.
all big ytbers think if they don't turn off their mac no one in the world do
lol I turn mine off once a week. And my dad turn his off every time he uses it. If you ever call tech support. The first thing they will ask you to do is turn you computer off and not restart it. lol. You should turn it off at least quarterly. That what I think.
you can tell who the long time Windows users are and new to Macs.
Actually only new mac users would
why would u turn off this device i mean, tha max u can do its to restart it
If you ever notice that your phone is getting slow for example, you should turn off or hard reset or power cycle as they say.
I think not
You’re right, you don’t think
Pl connect USB-A - laser (wired) printer to Mac mini m4
Oh the horror - have to move it to turn on/off...how are we going to survive?!?!
Put rubber feet on the top and flip it over
Can you power it on using power bank type c?
OMG ... turn it upside down and use it as a coaster!
I find it easier to find and press than the flush button on my Mac Studio.
Did u step down to a Mac mini m4. How does the performance compare
What about heat? When you connected all ports how much heat it created? Does it cause throttling?
I haven’t seen and throttling. I will make a video with my heat camera to check it out. Make sure to subscribe to see that video.
To put your computer in sleep mode you don’t need to touch the power button seriously
why you are closing from button? I am not even restarting my mac until its getting new update.
Whilst the power button almost never gets used and it doesn’t bother me, the actual placement is just bad design. A bit like the Magic Mouse usb port.
Ya you’re right. But still it’s a bigger problem if your like me and shut the computer down every week. But now I might just leave it on.
ähhmmmm . what about using "pmset" ? ... i mean, if this is really a problem ? 🙂
Got mine 2 days ago havnt turned it off yet.
How many times do you turn your computer on and off once it’s set up ?
So I can't leave it on sleep mode since it might damaged it
What should i do?
The power button is uncomfortable, the cables are too close you are right!! Design is not important when it is not comfortable.
I just wanted to put it out there.
nice video!. I am debating buying one of these macs. what config will be good for LR ??
I’ve had the Mac mini M1 since it came out and did this method and I’ve only filled up 60 gigs on the main computer and have it all my photos videos and etc. on the SSD with no problem.
are you talking Adobe Lightroom?
can't remember i told off any of my Mac computers lol i'd use the button once lol
U might want it on sideways
This design is so that some people will buy the Mac Studio instead just to avoid the bottom button problem.
haha
Just turn the monitor off
Idle 2-3w hmm…
People in areas that have problems with continuous electricity for one
Bad Apple Brian Tong
Good job. You are the 3rd one that commented that.
Was getting it out of the box the Massive Flaw?
Yes and no. lol. There are ton of people on my side and there are 3d printed parts showing up bc this is a problem. But thank for stoping by.
@ yeah tons of people think Elvis is alive too. You wasted too much time on the unboxing is the point. But thanks for the video.
Wait a couple months and there will be a $10 cradle to fix everything.
Yes, I thought the same thing. I was thinking about making a 3-D printer one for my self. I guess great minds think alike.
Several folks already spotting jerryrigs they built, some sharing how-to downloads or in-video.
put it on the apple tv
That is a great solution. lol it would be the right height. I’ll pass that along
talking about everything except performance.
We all know the performance is great. It’s the little design decisions that are quality of life stuff for day to day use.
@ Do you own one?
Just leave it sideways like a book.
Yes, that is a solution. But I might look for a 3-D printed riser or just make one myself.
Most people ain't gonna have one without a hub. Lol😂
Yes a hub is nice. But if you want the max speed to a Ssd you should use the port directly on the back of the Mac mini 4. Check out the specs on most hub and there no were near the speed of Mac mini m4.
@southcoastdesignz yes stuff like that i agree. SSD directly to the port of the Mac.
@southcoastdesignz I want to see if I can trade my Mac Book Pro for that Mac Mini M4 Pro.
''Tough'' to lift something less than 5 lbs?
Lol. I know it’s just an inconvenience. But you have to know if you’re buying it that this is a situation that you have to work around.
Seriously put it in sleep mode stop turning it off all the time
Thank you for sharing the video.

No, the power switches on the bottom because Apple made the machine too small and refused to put it on the front because it wouldn’t be pretty enough
lol I know it’s just like the Magic Mouse with the charging port on the bottom.

So they knew it was a problem but they are being paid so they can make a big deal about it. And if you say they are not being paid.
