These newer ktm powerhouse bikes have a lot of hydraulic clutch issues. I switched to a nissin master and a recluse slave. Bled mine multiple times and rebuilt both cylinders once with little success. Got rid of the brembo stuff and it works great
The hydraulic clutch line needs to be bled, too bad the shop didn't address this before delivery. I think riders should learn to bleed their clutch and brake lines so they don't lose a ride day when a simple procedure would take care of it.
That happened on my KTM 300XC but it was the front brake master cylinder. I ended up having to replaced the entire unit. Feels like air but there is some wrong in the assembly sucking air back in.
I’m definitely interested in what the root of the problem was and how to address it. (Without changing clutch and doing a bunch of aftermarket crap) I would think the factory would have a solution!
I have a Husqvarna 401. It’s a on road bike but full suspension. Torque is great and it’s just a all around fun bike. It’s literally a KTM duke naked and not orange but grey and black. Check it out! Took me until I was 41 to bite on a motorcycle. Road bikes always enough for me. Like every toy they can break. I had my first issues but I got my rig running smooth now.
That’s what I thought also (about the cold cause I ride in the cold literally all the time). Has to be more then clutch fluid though cause the dealer has parts ordered and on the way. They didn’t tell what was ordered though. I will update when I know though. 🤔
Will be interesting to see if they send a new master or slave cylinder? Like your Moose set up for desert riding. Our crew has switched to running 18" front wheels with a rear trails tire mounted to prevent pinch flats. Also gives better float in sand washes. Keep me updated. Cheers!@@ChrisHornerCycling
That definitely sucks! I've got to say that you all have some great trails in Bend. I'm strictly a street rider - both bicycles and motorcycles, but if I wasn't 71 I love to ride a dirt bike.
So I just bought the same model but in the 2025 edition and I’m having issues with the clutch as well it’s getting better by the minute tho I bled the clutch a little bit and it helped so I’m just thinking it’s air bubbles and it just needs to be broken in
Bummer!!!!! My guess is air in the line bleed it out easy peazy and see what and go from there The dealer should have done this but busy bees getting new bikes out little stuff gets missed? Fingers crossed for you
Man you had another KTM that gave you mass problems with also. I'm moving up to a 200 bata 2 stroke this spring. That suckes you go for a break in ride and ya only get 400 yards and it takes a dump on ya. But yes the 2 smoker saves the day. I love 2 strokes my yz125x rocks after I modified it but I still want more power I also might look at the 150 Husky 2 stroke since I have a dealer close.
Nice, thanks for the review…. What would you suggest for a first bike as I see you have both there that I will choose from. the 24 250 or 350xcf. 6’2 220. I’m 45y and want to cruise around open trails cross country riding. Will stick with the 4t. I read that riding a 350 at lower rpm’s vs the 250 reduces Eng wear as the 250 needs more revs.. True or false? Of course as a beginner I prob won’t be mashing throttle anyways. Thoughts? Have tracked sport bikes many years.. hoping some clutch skills transfer.
I mountain bike tubeless, and have never heard the term "moose" for tubeless! (p.s. Garrett? I'm still wondering why you have the signoff at 2+ mins, like at the end of most videos?!)
Nothing like the first ride on a new motorcycle screwed up by the poor preparation of the bike done by a dealer's mechanic who's pushed by his boss to do everything quicker and quicker. No matter how expensive the things we buy are, we are at a point where we're starting to feel anxious that something might go wrong.
@@chaseharpole2357 That's precisely the problem i.e. thinking the only job that has to be done is putting a few parts together. Preparation is an integral part of QA/QC process of a *running* bike.
I did when I was riding my road bicycle. It came crashing thru the woods and then straight across highway 97 (it’s legal to pedal on) just barely missing the cars and and me in my bike. It’s crazy how big it was, massive in size and I could hear the hooves stooping across the highway trying to get traction. 😱🫎

Nice MX with just the right amount of trick kit fella. The expansion chamber on that 2019 reminds me of an old 500GP bike. Looks a lovely machine.
Commenting to boost and let this play.
Thanks Joanna 😜👊👊👊👊👊🏆👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊

Check you clutch fluid levels and bleed. Clutches are not effected by cold. Need catch you on at the trail one of these days. Oregon local.

Did you ever get the problem fixed?

Did the dealer find the issue?
Hope this isn't the same with the other 2024 ktm 250 xcfs.
Have you tried a KTM road bike?
I never have. Some time back the bike part of the brand and moto part separated so now they are not owned by the same company. 🤔
U definetely have a knack for cycling and motocycling. Youre a great guy💪💪👏
Thanks Francis 👊🙏

@@ChrisHornerCycling hopefully will be back with the answer another day (though surely solved by now?), I'm curious even as a non-motor-biker
Have you ever come across a moose while riding? What happened if anything?
Answered just below @Stephen. My bad 😂😱👊🫎

Well, they are tubeless but there is a big foam insert (not really made of foam)in them. 👊
Air!!!
That sucks..new bike and already broken!? What the $#@! Hope the dealer corrects the problem.
They are working on it. 🤞
Air forks on the 350…brutal
No more air forks now. 🙏👊

Certainly the clutch is. 😱

Bad Slave Cylinder.
I can’t wait to hear what the dealer says. 🤔

Chris, stick to pedal bikes brotha
