A note about feroxes: it seems that when transformed they are a completely differente creature from before. They dont keep their original stats points. So if you want a good transformed ferox you have to tame one, transform and check its tranformed status. although it seems now with genesis 2 you can see the points on the parentheses
The rock throwing issue is due to the targetting system ark has running on the back ground. For some reason ark stores the data of the last ''looked'' at creature which can make launched projectiles (coded for target) aim at a previous or different target than intended, making your rock do a 180 at launch. Don't know why it stores this data or what the reason is for doing so but yes.
it's a bit amusing to me to see the camera jiggle with each click to attack faster, i know it's prolly weird to say, but i found it a little funny, makes me feel like i'm not the only one who clicks so much my camera jiggles

1:32 straight ahead, slightly to the left is a mountain with a rock pillar next to it. I built my base there because theres a natural ramp that winds around from the river up to the mountain, and the pillar is a great tower spot

A really high level ferox is good for the "Code Red" Mission ( in the Mission there is a certain Passage where you can't get through with big tames, so you would have to cryo your tame, but you can't put it out later on. This Problem can be cheated with a ferox, if you know what I mean.)
Play on rag or Val, there you have a better chance for high levels. Gen 1 and 2 as well as gachas get rid of resource grind. This game is getting easier and easier. I remember when you had to do 5caves and fight an alpha megapithecus just so you could get enough element for a good rifle. Now element is nearly as cheap as silica pearls.
@@TheAlphatitan and honestly, good. Fuck farming tributes and artifacts for boss runs. Old and boring, was just an extra ark chore. Glad they got rid of a lot of chores in gen 2.
The reason its melee and speed are lower is because shoulder mounts naturally have higher stats in both of those than most things. With that said their attacks in general are way weaker and they may be fast but due to being so small their steps are smaller
syntac- to get rid of the net you have to attack your netted animal with a sharp weapon i dont know if an axe works or not BUT i know 100% sure using a sword works.
If anyone can offer some advice: I've just upgraded to an SSD and gave running ARK on "Epic" graphic settings a go. It's mostly working just fine but there's a bit of lag between me pressing a movement key/moving the mouse and the character/POV responding. Which settings/options should I try lowering/turning off first to fix this please?

@@codyconnolly9445 thanks, it seems to have just sorted itself (I was getting errors during the loading, the ark itself is running fine). That alone didn't get rid of the lag but lowering settings to medium and then raising stuff like textures back to epic did the job :)
I tried taming a Ferox on Genesis 2 Non-Dedicated Server as a guest and it doesn't work. I had 7 pieces of Element and get the prompt to use it when I'm in front of the Ferox but hitting the hotbar button it's in doesn't do anything. I Googled this and was reported as an issue with SP/NDS for Genesis around March of last year but I haven't seen a fix for this. Anyone know if there is a work around for this issue?
i got a 280 (in a cave ) and got it to 90% and it fell through the map -_- was looking for it for ages and i looked on the tracker and it was 200m below me so i just spawned one in and dropped 2 element to make it fair in my mind xD

Heres a thing I actually like to do when taming feroxes on this map, I like to use the net projectile, usually it requires 20 for a high level
Modded Ferox are terrifying the speed, jumping, and damage is insane.
And in primal fear they have buffoon and celestial ferox and they can deal upto millions of damage

Yeah, it's nice to have a tek suit, but it also makes things very easy... And using most other armours is just kinda unnecessary...

Try using a sword on your creatures if you net them

Easier way is use a snow owl to freeze it until it turns back to normal feed freeze and repeat until tamed

having unlimited flight capability makes most tames much easier. I mean, early level I was taming some low level dinos with slingshots. LoL!
