»»»» All opinions are my own. Thank you xoxox DIY Danie - Навчання та стиль
I kinda think that leg breaking on the first set was a good thing, I don’t feel like it should have broken so easily and thankfully didn’t happen down the road when someone was sitting on it.
it might have been cheaply made stuff, I agree - it should not break that easily!
I was thinking the same thing.
I was thinking the same thing. There was something wrong with it..
Cast iron, despite being strong, can break easily with a sharp impact.
My thoughts exactly.
I could definitely see a door mat that says "the good kind of weird lives here" under your door. We have one and we love it!
I would definitely hang your metal and wood art piece so if a wind comes through it doesn't break your vases up there, this turned out absolutely beautiful
I was wondering if the drilled holes should be filled with a caulk to keep water out?
The mirror too!
Eventually the best addition to the front door stoop area would be a cover or roof area to keep everyone dry in all seasons!
One of those semi-circle canvas awnings in black. They are kind of expensive, but so pretty and classy.
Yes! An awning would be excellent
Actually, a cedar wood Pergola would fit the aesthetic of the front entryway. A clear acrylic sheet or a clear polycarbonate sheet can be added as the roof of the pergola to protect from the elements while still allowing the sunlight to come in.
Dear Editor: The sad montage, was hilarious!! ❤
Agree😂
Agreed! I’m so sorry that happened, but way to turn a bad situation into comedy gold!
Omg I never clicked so fast! Saturday isn’t complete without a Dani upload 🙌
🥹🥹🥹❤️
Same here! ❤
My version of Saturday Morning Cartoons
watching danie hand cut out the numbers whilst also remembering she has a cricut 😆
The mosaic turned out so pretty! And it’s so cool that you were able to build a custom bench.
I’m so glad you decided against the green because in an outdoor context that kind of green just looks like mildew. And the finished space looks so good!! Cute and inviting with a nice place to put packages! Perfect
yeahhhh swamp waterrrr lol
To me it looked like that green pressure treated wood. Essentially staining it to look unfinished.
@@CuriouserAndCuriouser4 OMG! That's It! I kept trying to put my finger on it, but kept coming up with the wrong comparison, I just couldn't figure it out! Thank You! You've just saved me from stewing on it for the rest of the day❤!!! Pressure Treated Green, available only at Lowes😂😂😂
Glorified Amazon parcel holders or not. Your entryway is looking amazing!
Thanks for being honest about things just not working and having to pivot or redo plans, it’s refreshing 💛
You never try to hide the realty of a diy! Great job - it looks amazing!
🙏💕
Danie if that pot has mint in it don’t add the plants or dirt to your compost it will spread mint that will comeback for YEARS! We are still fighting mint after 10 years of living here after the previous owner planted it in the yard. If the pot touches dirt it will self sow into the ground and spread far beyond the space you had it in. Good Luck Danie love the patio refresh!
Wow, what a difference! The entry looks so much nicer now. I also so love seeing you and Jeff (sp?) working together. Y’all are so cute together, glad he’s been in the last couple of videos 💕
Roof would be an awesome addition, protection from the elements when trying to get in the house from the car.
Your patience with making that mosaic…impressive. It is a beautiful piece and looks great!
Bench is so cute!
You literally had to redo every project in this video twice, I’m so sorry! Poor thing. ❤ I would have cried, there would have been tears.
Ditto
As hard as it was to redo the bench, it is amazing. The mosaic numbers are so cute. The project came out to be spectacular. It is cute, unusual, reflects your personality and definitely brings that chef's kiss to your entry. Great work.
The dark blue works much better for the letters. The new iron for your bench is stronger, which is a good thing. They're probably made of iron and the old once since they broke so easily might have been made of cheap pot metal.
Instead of a bench I was thinking a rocking chair ❤ maybe its the old lady in me lol im only 35 😅
I just love Geoff's smile when he helps you with the bench; seeing you both work together is *chef's kiss* xx
I think you greatly improved the curb appeal of your entryway, and I think you did cause people to look at it and realize where the door is. Fine work as usual.
I bet yur momma is so proud of you.❤❤❤
she is!!!!
You are truly one of the most fun, positive and inspirational people on youtube! And I absolutely love how it turned out!
I just love how you never quit!! I admire your perseverance. Your banch is stunnig!!!
I have a bench from theater armrests that came from my hometown theater
They are Art Deco and my mom and her husband made them back in the 80s. It's one of my favorite pieces. They need tightened up it's gotten wobbly over the years
oooooh that sounds DIVINE!!!
You never fail to amaze me. Your entryway is perfect, and I love how the street numbers turned out. Actually, I love how everything turned out. I always look forward to your next video.I love your channel, and I love your quirky personality. You are so much fun to watch. ❤😂
I found this online -- "With proper preparation, you can start soldering cast iron in a matter of minutes. You’ll need isopropyl solvent, a rag, a bronze or steel brush, liquid flux compatible with cast iron, heat-resistant gloves, safety glasses, a clamp, solder compatible with cast iron, a soldering iron, and a propane torch."
3:05 this section on the planters made me feel I had to share whats worked for me. My recommendations for people looking for cheaper flower pot/planter options if you're willing to use plastic. 1st at the start of the season keep an eye out to see what grocery stores and pharmacies are carrying flower pots. It wont be too long before they are transferring on and will mark everything left as clearance to clear way for the new stock. Ive had incredible luck with this at Riteaids if there is one near you. 2nd is to repurpose from your local thrift store. Trashcans, storage containers, and punch/serving/salad bowls can be very easily converses. Drill or punch drainage holes in the bottom and your good to go. If they really look to much like indoor stuff brought outdoor to you then give a light sanding before painting them to look more pot like/outdoorsy. There are the textured paints you can use but sometimes a simple color or matt will do the job just fine. My grandmother looked for months to find a new planter that could replace the one she had in her macrame hanger she's had for decades. Nothing fit right. In the end I found a clear punch bowlthat once painted white put in place looks like it was made to be a planter. Also, old ceramic teapots are awesome as planters. Cracked ones give drainage and it saved them from the landfill. Before putting the plant in block the inside of the spout with weed barrier and you can actually poor out excess water if it gets seriously flooded or add water through it to feed the water to the bottom if its something where you are worried about getting the plant wet.
I know most likely no one will read this but if you have a hope at some point it will be of use. Happy planting!
LMAO! The bench montage was hysterical❤
You can likely find a local welder to fix the broken leg, then you will be able to have a second bench for somewhere else in the yard.:)
Clicking on is starting an adventure! No matter what, you not only get it done, but beautifully pulled together! Disasters happen and you show us how to make it better!
The patio is so cute! The bench is really perfect in that location. Love all of the plants surrounding it as well.
thank you!!!!
You did a great job, you started with the good bones of the front door and the garage door, black is always a good grounding color🌻then when you built the gorgeous brick herringbone landing you had everything you needed for success. The planters and decor are great pops of color. Bravo Danie !!!🌺🌺🌺
Good morning all have a safe and blessed day ❤️
Everything looks so beautiful!! Well done. One trick I saw on Pinterest is to paint your door frame the same color as your door to make it look larger. Part 1 & 2 have been very inspiring. ❤
I love it 😍 and Jeff being a supportive husband made me smile. Also his little laugh in the end was so cute. So happy he gets more relaxed in front of the camera. You two are so wholesome together 🥰
It's a great Saturday when you get NOT 1 BUT 2 Episodes with DIY Danie! This one and over on The Sorry Girls channel!! The entry looks fabulous! Love the art piece and how well it goes with the bench. Watched both episodes while on the treadmill and it greatly helped me get through 4 miles. ❤✌
Oh my Kenobie, love him. I love your videos and look forward to watching you every week but a big part of me waits to see Kenobie, I'm in love with him lol I liked the green but it all ended up beautiful as usual :) It's magazine worthy :)
Anyone else ever repeat the intro after Danie? Editor roll the tape... Boop! 😂
Me!!
I love that you show us the full journey, bumps in the road and all. It turned out lovely. Glad you didn't go with the green for the bench, and the mosaic is so cute.
Danie that entry way is totally you… it’s absolutely beautiful!!! Well done 🙏🎶🎉💐🤗
thank you so much!
You and your husband have such an amazing relationship! I can tell that he is truly your rock and totally gets you.
Danie you didn’t give up ❤❤❤ the entry way with the bench gives that cozy good home vibes 😊
That bench and mosaic really gave you a run for your money. But, so worth it because they came out great and your front entry is wonderful. Also, your video editor did such an entertaining job.
I wonder if you could DIY the broken leg plus the spare one into some kind of ornate wall plant hanger... That would be beautiful!
I’m very impressed!! There are only two things I would do a little different. I would move the grass planter to the other side to open up the entry way more and I would hang the art piece maybe just 3 or 4” above the shelf. But overall, I love how the whole thing turned out! And I really love your attitude towards tackling, what I call, BIG DIY projects!! Great job!
OMG! When you showed that the leg broke off the bench I was shocked and dismayed! I said out loud "Oh NOOOOOO!"
The sign looks great!
Thanks for making my weekend! ❤ looks fabulous and I love how this whole video came together - the lamenting howl with Kenobi, funny quirky comments and all 🥰 Enjoy the rest of your weekend Danie 😊
Your ability to pivot on a moments notice is second to none Dani!! You are phenomenal and powerful!!!
I love that you use the word cute, you're not afraid to say something's cute ! cuz hey sometimes it's just so cute!
I agree with the numerals being the dark blue! Woo Hoo! Keep the grout on the numerals dark, too. Love the bench!!
It looks fabulous!!🎉 Add a remote controlled battery operated spot light right above or below (facing up, of course) your house numbers mosaic. Turn it on anytime you’re having guests coming over after dark or when you have food delivery!!!
Odie’s oil would be a great finish for the steel and the wood. It’s safe and gives a beautiful and weather resistant finish.
I cemented a 8 ft 4x4 post at the corner of my porch, and added plant hanging hooks for hanging pots. I also added some string lights.
I love watching you turn your house into a home made just for you guys!
Turned out GREAT!! 💜
You are so fun to watch! The two of you did a great job sprucing up your entry. I would remove the shelf and hang that pretty piece you got from Home sends all by itself. Love your show❤
Put a mirror behind the frame on the shelf it would make it pop more and bring a bit more light. You did a great job with the mosaics and bench.
Happy Saturday! When metal snaps, it’s time to weld! (Even if it’s just practice and you still have to buy more) And my mom is insisting that I mention the step down at the corner. A plant there could be a safety feature as well as adding pretty. That said- well done! Very welcoming and creatively cohesive.
Happy Saturday!
So practical! Love that you show your ‘trials’ along the way. It looks wonderful
Thank you for showing that even when the plans don't go the way you want you can adjust. The end was beautiful and we've all had projects that veered off track and so happy to see others overcome and end up so good! ❤😊
What a wonderful transformation. Another great job…well done!! Now grab a drink, sit down & enjoy your new entry way.😊
Things are looking up Dani! This front porch is so beautiful and welcoming. What a lovely place to take a seat and enjoy ❤
OMG!!! It looks fabulous! You put so much work into it, and it shows. BEAUTIFUL!!!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!
I needed to watch your video today, you always bring a huge smile to my face. Thankyou Dani.❤
I think it would be a good idea if you added a black outdoor canopy over the door. I think it would finish it up nicely.❤
It all looks gorgeous!!! You did an amazing job. Even with all the set backs. The bench was a must!!!
The broken one you can make a chair and put it beside the greenhouse and sit a plant on it ❤
You did that Danie!! It looks fantastic! You just added style and value to your home. Awesome job!
Such a warm and welcoming entrance to your home❤
I love it, Danie! It truly is full of life, color, and fun. 🥳🥳🥳🥳✌🏼
Turned out terrific!! Loved the mosaic project and the bench!!! Of course, everything perfectly completed the porch progress
Dani you battled through and look what you accomplished. Front entryway of my dreams. Sooooooooo well done.
Absolutely gorgeous. I love everything you did and how it all came together.
Danie; I'm here for the broken bench make over. A back leg? Where noone will see! Drill it, splint it, cut some ply wood, paint it black... i don't know, this is your job!❤ but i know you can fix it good enough to sit in the backyard by the green house. I know you can.
Such a transformation, it's beautiful and very inspiring! Well done and thank you! 🤩😊
Wow and just Wow Wow, 🤩🤩🤩 I love everything including the chair you built. ❤❤👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾‼️‼️
Another Dani masterpiece! Love how you pulled it all together.
It's your custom bench so anything goes!!🙌🥰🌈 LOVE the finished makeover!!❤❤❤❤
It's WONDERFUL!!! Congrats on a great DIY!
Absolutely love how it turned out! Love the bench, so glad you nixed the green!❤
Oh and maybe add some pathway solar lights and planters on each side of your lower step.
Obsessed with the house numbers!! The entire area looks *chef's kiss*, but that one piece is my favorite.
You have such a magic touch! You’re amazing and I love everything you’ve done. Looks like you can do anything you set your mind to. Beautiful results!💕
What a journey! Looks so great!
Beautiful! No matter what problem you experienced you continued on. ❤
The finished space is soooo cute!!
The entry way looks beautiful!!! ❤❤❤
Beautiful! The bench is adorable. 😊
I would love to see the broken bench repurposed into a feature for the garden. I can see a place for a couple of planters.
Love the finished entrance and watching you and Husband working together.
Beautiful finally, Dani!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💐❣️
I love the front door makeover. Have you considered covering over the door (very high)? I think that would finish your front door makeover!!❤
great job even with the sad leg break! Please attach the wall art so that it doesn’t go boom on a windy day!!
You are really amazing. So skilled and tasteful. You have a brilliant temperament to take the knock backs. Wow!
I’ve had two sets of iron bench sides I have been saving to do what you just did. My old benches rotted but I couldn’t bring myself to discard the sides. I am now inspired to complete this project. At least one of them. 😊
Bench is so cute! Mosaic is beautiful. The whole project is a big win!❤
I think you should paint your front door the color of you turquoise planters. The black door just gets lost amongst the decor and the pop of color on the door would brighten up the entryway even more.
Dani, your patience is amazing. Everything loos amazing!! 🎉🎉🎉
