I remember Oumar, he was featured in one of munchies videos. He is a hard working and adventurous man with talent. Travel across the world honing his skills, sacrificed a lot for his dream, he is a great inspiration. Everything he cooks looks delicious and I hope, since he is so wholesome, that sooner or later he gets some more media attention, what a contrast between him and some celebrity chefs!! Dibi looks delicious btw
My family and I eat dibi on a regular basis since we live close to a Senegalese restaurant. I'll definitely give it a try, thanks for showing us Oumar !
I've never seen Senegalese food before - a crime, surely! This looks amazing. I'm definitely making this on the bbq. It looks so easy and flavourful. Thanks for sharing this recipe!!!
Ok so this dish looks super delicious, I've never seen anyone marinate onions before which is cool, also the magnet spice containers on the fridge are awesome and I need those, definitely want to try some Dibi!
There's so many parts of the world that surely have delicious foods, this is another that I don't think I've seen much about. Hopefully I get to travel some day, even if it's just to some city in the US that has a bunch of diverse chefs with food trucks or restaurants.
Thank you!! We've always gone to a restaurant in harlem New York for dibi but recently the prices have been crazy so I looked for an alternative and I found this guide. Thank you very much brother!
It's a Senegalese garb. It's usually made by measurements. Other West African and Central African countries also have these sorts of outfits that come with similar pants
Saw this dude in the last video with his restaurant/food truck, The Damel! Seems like a very genuine person, I would love to eat there if I'm ever in the Bay Area!
Looks awesome Chef, definitely looking forward to making your dish. Also looking forward to seeing more of your National dishes. Thank you for the recipe.
Tres bien mon frere! As an American, I work in Mali, a Senegal bordering country and I see this cuisine influence. Unlike the Malians, the Senegalese have mastered the pepper, thank you. I would add some tomato to the greens and kick this out on a baguette/sandwich option as well. Clever and brilliant recipe!
Used to buy this along with roasted corn while walking down Ouakam in Dakar; best street food! Nothing wrong with this being served in a newspaper! Don't forget to make some bissap to drink with this ;) Jerejef!

I love Senegal and Senegalese people because they're so good natured and friendly!!! 🇸🇳💞

The outtakes at the end make this man even more endearing! We live not far from Oakland CA and hope to visit him.

The spice containers stick to the fridge!?!!! That's cool xD
Came to the comments to find out what those were. Another thing I never knew I needed. LoL.
I bought some of those years ago at IKEA.
Yeah those spice containers are super cool!
Get small magnets and attach it to your spice containers. It helps so much
So much better than normal fridge magnets
Ok so this dish looks super delicious, I've never seen anyone marinate onions before which is cool, also the magnet spice containers on the fridge are awesome and I need those, definitely want to try some Dibi!

I love this channel it teaches us different food cultures
Was just watching his food truck story few days back and now this!! So inspirational 🙏
Love this guy. If I ever make to the Bay area I will most definitely search his restaurant out.
This chef has really elegant hands.
Ayyyy I just ate his restaurant 2 weeks ago and was blown away how good it was.
Thank you!! We've always gone to a restaurant in harlem New York for dibi but recently the prices have been crazy so I looked for an alternative and I found this guide. Thank you very much brother!
Which one? Africa Kine?
I would love to try this recipe out with some chicken I have in the fridge. I always love to see chefs cook in their home kitchens!
Same! Makes me feel like I can actually do this at home.
When using chicken they call the recipe poulet yassa which is also delicious.
Seems like a really nice, humble man. Where he get that kind of shirt? That thing is fresh as hell.

A recipe must try. Love your knives (red & green) and chopping board
I hope there's a Senegalese restaurant in my area of Texas soon, that looked like top tier lamb!
Senegalese food is some of the best in the world! You should definitely see if you can find a resturant near you
Senegalese are usually in New York Detroit or South side Chicago.
Where are you in Texas there is one in Houston
If I cooked in that gear, I would not look as clean as he does at the end.
👏 great cook, looking forward to trying this dish, Thankyou!
His food truck story is so inspiring this man is a go getter and has really strong will power. Highly recommend you search this video

Ok munchies- we need a jollof rice battle 😂
Senegambia always wins 😏
Munchies trying to start a war with that bit at the end about the jollof rice
But it literally comes from Senegal-Gamabia it's in the name, Jollof rice as in the rice made by the Wolof people.
I saw your little kitchen and then you mentioned bay area. I get it now :) Welcome !
I love good lamb dishes
Hahaha I'm Nigerian and he came for us with that wild take on jollof rice at the end. he's lucky he can cook and he's a likeable guy lol
he was speaking facts tho ahahahah
its actually from Senegal. Google it. Your take is a wild take lol
Haha "Jolof" is what we used to call our country before it became Senegal, so it's literally Senegalese rice ;)
🤣😂🤣
This make me happy 😊
