A shout out for Robert Malcolm, BCTV 1972 to 1991. My favorite news anchor with John McKeachie/sports before going to bed. Robert deserved many more years as anchor and a proper sendoff.
Yeah I head about her story last night. It's incredibly tragic to see that she can't even recognize her family members any more. 😭😭Alzheimer's is a horrible disease! It's incredibly tragic.
i clicked on this for the piece on tony. i left shocked when i randomly clicked the provincial news area and saw my grandparents house full screen! lmao! the deer in gf have got no better 11 years later xD
It's funny how Wayne still referred to the Haida Gwaii Islands as Queen Charlotte when the name was officially changed 5 days before the broadcast. Imagine if that mistake was made today...

@@EmarseeDeb has passed away yesterday morning.
Priceless. I enjoyed Tony Parsons as co-anchor of CBC Vancouver News.
I really miss this old lineup.
Love the music at 44:36.

I loved Charlie. Sometimes on other earlier newscasts, you would catch a glimpse of him wandering through the newsroom.
Thank you! 🙏

Did Global National always have a separate sign off for Global BC viewers?
As far as I remember, no. This was just a one time only thing
