Kings of Medicine lyrics:
They're picking up pieces of me
While they're picking up pieces of you
In a bag you will be, before the day is over
Were you looking for somewhere to be?
Or looking for someone to do?
Stupid me, to believe that I could trust in stupid you
And on the back of my hand
Were, directions I could understand
Now that old buzzard Johnnie Walker
Has gone and ruined all our plans
Our best made plans
Don't leave me here, to pass through time
Without a map or road sign
Don't leave me here, my guiding light
Cause I, I wouldn't know where to begin
I asked the kings of medicine
They're picking up pieces of me
While they're picking up pieces of you
Lying on ice you will be before the day is over
It's a case in point baby
That you never thought it through
Stupid me, to believe I could depend on stupid you
And on the tip of my tongue
Were, words that always came out wrong
Cause they were drowned in Southern Comfort
Left to dry out in the sun
The noon-day sun
Don't leave me here, to pass through time
Without a map, or road sign
Don't leave me here, my guiding light
Cause I, I wouldn't know where to begin
I asked the kings of medicine
But it seems they've lost their powers
Now all I'm left with is the hours
Don't leave me here, to pass through time
Without a map, or road sign
Don't leave me here, my guiding light
Cause I, I wouldn't know where to begin
I asked the kings of medicine
But it seems they've lost their powers
Now all I'm left with is the hours
Don't leave me here
Don't leave me here, oh no-oh
I wouldn't know where to begin
Technically, this is one of Placebo's most beautiful songs. It's painful for me to listen to right now. Getting better. But this is really gorgeous. Molko is so gifted.
Hi from Serpukhov, Moscow region. All peace.
i love this man... the guiding star of my miserable life
Any band that can play Live and sound just as awesum as they do in the studio, is worth every penny spent on a ticket. This raw Live recording infront of a crowd up and in your face, like a pub gig, is bloody brilliantly done, Love yas, Placebo, past n present band members!!! :)
Brian... is the most beautiful man in the world☺️
seyda yilmaz and he is gay
J A so what? He's bi
dude he has a child ffs
women
He is so damn cute at the beginning of video. Yeah, might be one of the most alluring men out there.
3:09....those eyes, those eyes....♥
Placebo should perform this wonderful song much more often live!
or
play more acoustic gigs, which brings out best the high quality of their music :))
Molko played this song live like in a year, all over the world. and i was there joining some of the gigs) you shoul follow them live sometimes
This is the most beautiful and sad song in the world! And Brian is the most beautiful and gorgeous man! OK, in my own personal rating - he is!
Flying down the road at over 100 with chems in my veins and this song blasting. What an unbeatable feeling. I could have died.
That Violin is the Cherry on top of another Great Song!
❤️ King of Medicine ❤️ Beautiful Song ❤️😊❤️
Placebo end every album with an absolute banger
stupid me, to believe that I could trust in stupid you!
love placebo
Wasnt it stupid me to believe i could depend on stupid you?
@@maurinka the first time, at the beginning of the song he sayes stupid me to believe that i could trust in stupid you, second time it's how you wrote
Always been a fan but since this. lockdown. I've became a super fan watching all their live gigs, hearing alsorts I never even knew. Having a crush on Brian, who is absulutly gorgeous with beautiful eyes. Also he's barely aged in years.you can tell as a band the lyrics are so alticulate. Brians unique vocals filled with pure emotion and passion. He defo is one of a kind. I never tire watching
you should see them live, after the lockdown. i did, traveld to Helsinki, to sse Molko live with Never let me go, i will never regret)
this is my favourite song, and btw PLACEBO is the best live band ever
Brian is just so f’ing adorable and alluring. I just want to crawl through my screen and touch his face. This song, this live version in particular, I love so much. I love the catchy ditty beginning at 3:04 and 3:49. Don’t you find their live versions of every song have such a deeper dimension and richness to them.
underrated placebo song
For five years I've been listening to an audio of this, believing it was recorded in a studio.
How on earth can a live performance be so flawless?!
Bravo!
thats Placebo, like the best band ever live. i saw them live too, its insane how accurate they play live , its like wow wow
Watch the Angkor wat set
The best live song from the last decades..
On “Battle For The Sun” (2009), Placebo use a number of new instruments. Drummer Steve Forrest liked the way the horns were used.
He explained : “That one, it becomes quite an ‘All You Need Is Love’-style Beatles-esque happy tune. It’s executed very well. They are not so much underneath everything but they are not over the top either. So, there’s good usage of a lot of horns, and there’s also a picolo trumpet and some flute on there.”
Brian Molko was hoping the upbeat song would agitate the dour contingent of their fanbase. Bassist Stefan Olsdal stated : “Brian’s very proud of that one because he thinks it’s going to freak all the Goths out. That’s actually Brian’s MOTTO : ‘LET’S FREAK THE GOTHS OUT.’ We have always been seen as the purveyors of melancholy and luckily we have always had music to exorcise our demons.” 💜🎶💙
MUSICAL AND POETIC MASTERPIECE. SUCH A COMPLEX MULTILEVEL COMPOSITION
amazing show, amazing band
(plus Brian is one of the sexiest man i've ever seen,oh god)
it's just wonderful that they played this great song live at the acoustic gig :)
Какой он классссный .. так композиционно красиво ❤
Brian is beautiful 😍❤️
Stupid me to believe that i can trust in stupid you...brilliant💟💟
I don't know about you, but seeing Steffan with a Bass always puts a smile in my face. I'm still not used to see him playing guitar in a lot of the songs nowadays.
He's been playing guitar a lot since 1998. It was just touring for the first album when he only played bass.
This song is just too much for us to listen only once a day.
Ya el tema en el cd es espectacular.. pero en vivo buenísimo!! Todo lo hacen bien y mejor en vivo ♥ Viva Placebo
Someone said "Oh shit", I guess one of the band members. Brian asked the French crowd "Are you allowed to say 'oh shit' on the radio?" Then the crowd cheered "Yes!" Brian (with a bit of irony): "Oh, i'm relieved..." Someone in the crowd: "We're a free country!" Brian: "come again?" "We're a free country!" "Oh really? ...with a president like yours?" *crowd applause* Brian: "Sorry Carla." (Carla Bruny, Nicolas Sarkozy's wife)
Brilliant
Elle est trop facile celle sur Sarko et Carla c'est la même sinon elle ne serait pas avec lui . D'ailleurs je me suis tjrs demandé ce qu'elle lui a trouvé. La tune 😁🤪🤫
Oh, I love his sense of humour!
This is divine 😇
all their songs are amazing...^^
Brian sang superbly in this live performance
Oh my.. I love his mouth so much!
The kind of song, so catchy it makes me shiver
it sends shivers down my spine... incredible
I'm with a broken heart right now and Placebo speaks directly to my heart
Placebo saved my life :')
Seriously i can die listening to Placebo
I wish I was there....and this haircut, dammit Brian, so amazing!
uffff!!! me encanta, me puede, me llena...cierro los ojos....y me hace soñar
I think I already did.. does he ever miss a note??? omg.. *dead* très heureux
I think the album version is alright, but this version is amazing!
Can't wait to see you in Austin 2023!!!!
Bi şarkı bu kadar mükemmel olabilir mi
La tua voce è speciale.. Affonda sottopelle..
red wine, cigarettes and THIS song is all what i need
It's magic !!

Love from Tunisia 🇹🇳

Amazing!!!🖤🖤🖤🖤
Same here, which means so much considering how consistent they are.
Me encantaría tener una conversación directa con Brian Molko..
“Stupid me, to believe that I could trust in stupid you”
My girlfriend, a good wine, cigarettes and THIS band
Magical and truthful as always. Surreal atmospheric vocal, suggestive tender sounds are just a few elements of this masterpiece . 🌹🌹🌹
Definitivamente es mi versión favorita de Kings Of Medicine, es una canción que me emociona mucho cada vez que la escucho.
Such a masterful voice!
Since I left to live in Cambodia, my friend back home became a worse alcoholic and is now sitting in jail waiting out a possession charge. This song reminds me of him in so many ways. I remember always drunkenly asking when I’m coming home :( . Get it together Matt and I’ll see you again someday. I’m just as lost as you are.
"can we say oh shit on the radio ?" "Yeah ?" "Lucky for us... " then a girl in the crowd "it's a free country" "yeah ? with a president like yours ? *applause* "I'm sorry Carla.."
Perfectionnnnn...
0 dislikes! that's the way it should be! I LOVE YOOOOU PLACEBOOO!!

I just want the girl who is playing the violin... she is amazingly beautiful..
Lindaaaa 😍❤💖
simplemente genial
Beautiful, I used to play this when I was lost. Now I've found myself in hell and out of my work.
I am made one again, by remembering my toils, falling and silent begging. It's all over now, like a dream, the day is over.
The elixir of life is truth by day (work) and pain by night (self).
my favorite bfts song....
I consider this being a porno, since it's one of the most gorgeous things I've ever seen.
Late answer but I've never seen porno which would be the most gorgeous thing that I've seen.
