I assembled this organ in 1988, from the remains of a dismantled gavioli organ. Pipework & parts that were missing came from other old organs, Gasparini, Bruder, & Limonaire. The case and front were made from old and new materials. The three figures on the front were made by Adam Wood, ant Chiappa Ltd, under the direction of Albert Chiappa in 2003. So there is a lot of old history in this instrument, and is not really to be classed as a ‘new’ organ.
It had by 2019 done 28 years work in all weather conditions. So during Covid it was completely stripped down for an overhaul, and repaint.
This year is its first outings in the ex John Morley arcade trailer.

Just put the record straight for you organ enthusiasts. All the music on this video , apart from the Oliver selection, are a new book cut by Kevin Meayers. It is all the tunes in order from the tv documentary made in 1987, of the Great Dorset Steam Fair. It just so happens that they used the recordings of the ex Tim Trager 110k Gavioli. So most off you would have seen this film and would recognise the music. If not, it’s available on UA-cam.
The organ has 49 keys. The extra key is to mute all the reed sections for when playing quiet or hymns.
The piccolos are on the top 12 melody notes and are always in play .
Thank you all for you kind comments

Thanks for this information martin! Does the bass have saxophone pipes that get turned off by the 49th key with the melody clarinet?

This is a nice decent instrument what I like the most is the figures have names.
It's looking a lot more brighter after a repaint! I remember an old video of this instrument on Graham Spencer's UA-cam channel where it was playing The Carousel Waltz.

Yes that's right! I can remember seeing this organ at quite a lot of local events when I was younger, it was good to see it again.

It’s a great organ. Clever to think the owner had made this himself! Must have taken a lot of work and time.

@@HarryYT22 Indeed - considering it's a self built organ it is very good! I'd imagine it would have taken quite some time to complete, although I wouldn't know as I've never had a go at organ building, lol...

I’ve always found this instrument super interesting, it’s very well made, even if it’s really big for a 48 type instrument. Not sure how the piccolos are connected into the scale or what the 49th key is for

Sounds like someone has been copying the repertoire of the ex. Miller 110 key Gavioli!
