I can't say this enough: HUGE props to False this season for spotlighting the difficult work of tying together a server through infrastructure. Bridges, rivers, roads and paths of all sizes; without them a server becomes a collection of built-up islands lost in a sea of vanilla terrain... but this season it would feel almost disrespectful to neglect these beautiful views by losing them in the blurred background of elytra speed. So thank you False for all your work, Cleo's bridge is magnificent and the fact that it's on a diagonal is 10x more impressive 💚💚

The bridge looks FANTASTIC false! Hope you’re super proud of it, such a beautifully detailed small-scale project. I personally feel like the multiple smaller projects impact the Hermitcraft server so much more than the mega builds!
Idea for you: "Mail-Order Rivers & Bridges." Using a map and some Banners, Hermits could plot out areas for rivers and bridges without having to hunt you down in person. Assuming banner marks on a map aren't client only and would persist on the map... >.> Though if that's the case, you could request the rivers and bridge outlines be marked on the map with a block you sell. :p

this season is the full on city planning one. we've got Pearl as the mail system, we've got Grian with the shopping permits, we've got False that's basically the server's civil engineer, amazing stuff i wonder if they'll add taxes next season
They had monopoly style property tiles in one of the earlier seasons.

As far as trying to get the permits from Scar, just butter him up with something Disney and/or Star Wars related and he should be willing to cave. XD
This is the thinking of a true entrepreneur. A big business person thinks not only about the now but also about the future. Of course, after everyone enjoys their new rivers, they'll need some bridges!

For that angled bridge, a way to work in both Tuff and Deepslate is using it in the same way we do with Spruce and Darkoak logs for docks and bridges. Put the Deepslate in the water and maybe 1 block above the water line and the tuff above that. That way it looks like the deepslate blocks are soaking wet while the tuff looks dry, a perfect combo of blocks for showing wet/dry.
10/10 good job matching the bridge to Cleo's base
The bridge looks great. That's a hard mesh of concepts, especially on a diagonal. I was blown away by how you balanced all that.

i like the sloping staircase bc it kinda reminds me of a ramp, which makes the build feel wheelchair accessible which always makes me rlly happy
Tubes. Ya need tubes and endermites for the effects. Tubes with liquids to enhance the science, and endermites nametagged and hidden to add efx
I like the combination, one going straight to the tree and one going to the shore. Just having the one to the shore feels kinda unnatural because people would never have just that.
Although if you want to go with your jury-rigged vibe, you could make like a kinda janky shortcut leading to the tree instead of the straight up stairs. Like something someone built just enough to be able to use and it really shows 😂

As someone who appreciates landscaping and terraforming in minecraft it makes me so happy to see you joining the different areas together. It was really starting to look disjointed with all the walls going up and whatnot. Keep up the great work. ❤❤❤

I was already digging that bridge, but those copper+details took it to the next level. It deserves a name. 'Charon' - the Bridge between the living and the dead, over the Styx river.
I'm pretty sure Charon is a ferryman, not a bridge

I feel like the roof gives off almost floating vibes. The chains are just so thin you can't really see them from any real distance.
I was a bit skeptical of the roof at first, because you had a nice view of Cleo’s tower while coming over it before. But once you added the copper on the side I was fully on board. It looks amazing!

I'm always surprised of how brave people are building things with angle in Minecraft, bridge is looking good.

I like both staircase. It looks more natural. And rather than having to go down the curved one to go back on yourself you've got the straight one as well. As you flew in I thought it was purposeful and really liked the look.
The bridge is awesome, a great mash of things for sure, you wouldn't think they go together but they do.

Copper trapdoors have indeed been made cheaper in the most recent snapshot. Only requiring 6 ingots to craft 2 trapdoors!
The easiest way to get the permits from scar is to hotguy him while he's holding them, but that's not very fun.
The silly way is to get a different one he wants from a different unrelated hermit
The reference way is to get doc to build some redstone that scar will break, and have doc take a permit as payment.
Doc would accept payment in saaaaand for the service

I think both stair cases add detail to the build i would do both.
You mentioned the recipe for copper trap doors. It is s changing in the next update so maybe the data pack needs changing so you guys are up to date with what will be the new recipe. I'm sure other hermitcraft fans would agree it only makes sense as your using the crafters as well. Love the bridge
The one thing I expected from a magical aspected bridge is to see amethyst clusters/buds placed on the stone bricks like some sort of magical barnacle type thing.
Definitely would love to see some soul lanterns on the bridge. Loving it though!

Gaming mice have all sorts of additional buttons and features that a normal mouse doesn't.
So we got two gods on the server Bdubs and false both are effectively creating there own biomes

Keep the sloping staircase remove the straight one and create a hill to match the tower and then make a smaller less steep slab staircase to the hill and walk over to the tower will blend a lot nice and keep the idea that people visited the tower regularly so there was easy access instead of down to the right or alternativey keep it symmetrical and make another rounded one on the other side shorter and terraform afain
good news! in a snapshot, they changed the copper trapdoor recipe to use ingots rather than blocks

Very Insta-worthy magical bridge with sufficient protection from the elements, monsters at night (even those nasty flying things). Would recommend taking this route!

I may be late but the bridge still looks fantastic!
I forget who did it but they built a bridge that had a, kind of, ASMR vibe in it... Amethyst, Slime, etc. blocks in the road way for the noises they make when walked on... chimes and "squelches".

Only thing I'd change on the bridge is to have the roof get a little lower on either end!

Okay weirdly I loved the supports for the bridge more when they were only 2-deep in the water. It looked like a reflection!

Mixing in vertical mangrove trap doors and mangrove signs along the side of the roof/covering can add more depth without making it too bulky ^-^
Definitely preferred the roof with a darker border, like you would a house roof. Just not Dark Oak. Maybe Deepslate Tile Slabs would be a better contrast? With a few darker Slabs dotted around in the roof to make it look a bit more worn. 🤔
Also think the roof needs to be high enough to allow horsey people to be able to travel across on horses without banging their heads. 😅

I think I like the wrap-around staircase more since it ties in the circular nature of the overall build! They both look good though. The straight up stairs remind me of old temples and ruins like the ones in Central/Latin America and that could fit the theme of your base as well!

As far as getting the permits off of Scar, maybe plan Opposite Day, hear me out. Scar is being stubborn because he feels he was strong armed on his day off, a plan lead by Ren, a plan that like all his plans so far is just digging the hole deeper, so, just do the exact opposite of whatever Ren says is the plan. Can't go any worse than they are right now.
May I suggest having a pair of Frost Walker boots for easy building on water 🤓
i prefer the slope staircase lol the bridge looks stunnin, i wonder how bamboo would have looked as a fringe? probably too much color tbh but i wanna experiment with that maroon color and bamboo now lol
