just a few reminders about minos:
- when he says WEAK. he's saying it to himself, not V1
- his crown resembles buildings because he always cared about his people more than himself, putting them above himself
- he has no face because he does not consider himself important (or selflessness?)
- his transparency and visible heart may represent his honesty and kindness
- when he moves around the arena to attack V1, along with the explosions and shockwaves he makes with his attacks, those are not fancy abilities like teleportation, that is a display of his raw strength and movement speed

minos prime's "JUDGEMENT" and "THY END IS NOW" attack will be unparriable. he will throw more snakes at you and they are faster. he will make more combos. minos prime doesnt become weaker.

He is the kinda guy to say read, they wouldn’t listen and then he would get into his battle voice and repeat “R e a d.” He is very chill honestly.
Btw, when he w a l k s to you for 2 seconds, he has a stamina bar, that lets him do his moves, also, he does not have any abilities besides strength and speed,
When saying, “JUDGEMENT!” He doesn’t teleport to you, he fucking power walks to you so fast it looks like teleportation,
Now imagine his sprint.
He has the energy of that really calm dude everyone loves who wouldn't hurt a fly, but when hes ticked off, you had to do something royally fucked up. Not even when hes mad does he yell or get aggressive, he would just speak with such an angry aura, one so strong it could choke someone. It's like if you piss him off, the entire room you're in's vibe goes down by 5 levels.

I really like how some stuff in ultrakill has a small intro thing and other stuff just gets going immediately. You grab that gun at the start, and enemies spawn immediately. V2 spawns, bows, fight happens. Gabriel also has a nice intro for both his fights. Then minos, he has a small diologue and walks at you with violent intent and you die

The leitmotif requiem playing towards the end of his theme. The theme of the lust layer that minos ruled over just adds that little emotional touch to a fast paced battle theme

This is in my opinion the best boss in gaming. Everything about it is just perfect.
For me it's one of best. The Hollow Knight is best boss I ever beated. While it's not hard as pure vessel or radiance, it's still most emotional one. He literally tries to kill himself to help you win cuz he is infected and can't control himself
King Minos? More like King GIGACHAD.
What a beautiful piece of music. It really well captures the tragedy of Minos' character. It conveys his pain, former grandeur, and an unyielding will to fight, even when all that remains is an all-consuming thirst for vengeance. Combined with Minos' monologue, the music reflects really well his rage, sorrow, hatred, and desire for retribution, while still highlighting his nobility as a man and his greatness and sense of justice as a ruler.
I truly feel bad for Minos. Gabriel took everything he held dear, everything he fought for. Even worse, he made Minos destroy it all with his own hands. And V1 robbed him of even the chance to exact his revenge. Truly tragic.

One question, how do you extract the music, voices and other stuff from ULTRAKILL?
The simpliest tool you can use is AssetStudioGUI since it has a gui, then just load the ultrakill folder (might take a bit), find the music, then just right click and extract

i heard a rumor that king minos isnt evil, he just wanted to save humanity from everything
That's exactly it, he felt that it wasn't right for the people of the lust layer to be punished solely for the sin of loving, so he turned it into a thriving city where they could all live in peace.
Once heaven got their shit together though, they saw this as a betrayal against the ways set up by God, and so sent Gabriel to reinstate the punishment in the lust layer.
Minos met with Gabriel to try and resolve the issue through words, but Gabriel simply unsheathed his swords and killed Minos there.
Minos' soul was then imprisoned in the flesh prison within his body, doomed to watch the parasites that control his corpse destroy everything he had worked to build.
Tldr: Yeah Minos is a pretty good guy

The Lust leitmotif is so fire
I love it when he says "thy end is now" and my end was then
I love this track its so intense but so sad. It signals that Minos tried his best to save humanity. He was the only one who believed the sinners deserved a second chance and he was slaughtered in cold blood for it.
But he made the mistake of battling with V1: the most powerful of humanity's creation. A machine not even God can stop. An *unstoppable force*
And yet, his strength remains truly admirable. The Prime Souls are the manifestation of sheer human willpower. Their power is not something artificially created through humanity's collective knowledge and efforts, nor is it a gift from god. It is the raw, natural force of the human spirit.
Even then, V1 only manages to win thanks to its in-game ability to revive and memorize Minos’ attacks. The game implies that both Minos and Sisyphus are aware that V1 is reviving and coming back time after time.

Best boss music in any game ever, period. I think Roar of the Jungle Dragon from Terraria’s Calamity Mod is better overall, but that’s from a Mod so I wouldn’t necessarily group it in with the soundtracks of unmodded games.
