What a beautiful piece of music. It really well captures the tragedy of Minos' character. It conveys his pain, former grandeur, and an unyielding will to fight, even when all that remains is an all-consuming thirst for vengeance. Combined with Minos' monologue, the music reflects really well his rage, sorrow, hatred, and desire for retribution, while still highlighting his nobility as a man and his greatness and sense of justice as a ruler. I truly feel bad for Minos. Gabriel took everything he held dear, everything he fought for. Even worse, he made Minos destroy it all with his own hands. And V1 robbed him of even the chance to exact his revenge. Truly tragic.
