One tip is to cut the opposite part at the same time, clamped together. The exact position of a sliding dovetail or dado is rarely super critical, the important thing is usually that it ends up in the same position in the opposite part. Cutting both at the same time ensures this and speed up the process. V-groove step can be skipped and layout doesn't need to be super accurate.

Ideally yes you would cut them from the same board, but in general the exact dimension is very important in much of my work! In this case, any deviation in the dados and the dividers that house the drawer slides would be off and would not sit flush with the drawer openings!

Look closely! On a few of them I have pencil lines to help see. My camera doesn’t do close ups well. Stay tuned to see the completed hallway table and you’ll see how accurate they are!
