Gosh - that was an emotional watch! So much respect for how you pushed through and completed the event! Absolutely inspirational. Like Kenzi said, we are blessed. WELL DONE!
Huge well done to you! Pure grit and the desire to do it! Amazing story and journey. You're not alone in your multiple waves of emotion and self doubt! We all go through it and you've proven you've got what it takes! So pleased for you! I mentioned before the race, "One day you'll thank yourself for not giving up"! Well done Dawn
I watched the video from start to finish and was inspired and impressed by your tenacity to keep going even when your body said no, well done, thanks for sharing this video
Really appreciate the message and encouragement! Love sharing the journey...good and bad...and I loved it, even the hard bits...and now more determined to get back at it!! All the best
Oh my goodness Dawn, you absolutely ARE cut out for 100 milers!!! I really relate to feeling emotional throughout the race. My eyes were sore because I was on the verge of tears for so much of it! Massive well done and it was so lovely to meet you!
Great video!!! Loved the rainbow wings and your energy all the way through (even when you had the down parts) We ultra runner are weird and wonderful people!!! Others say "why are your doing that, its so hard" thats why we do it. A massive well done Dawn.
Well done Dawn. The pain cave was vast on this one wasn’t it ha ha Gina giraffe made it round in one piece, did your wings make it? Couldn’t see them at the end.
The problem is with those big 100 miles is that the start feels so amazing like nothing can stop you and you have loads of people around you. As when you train you are all by yourself majority of the time. So no wonder you have this massive meltdown even though you are fully trained for it. Been through the same experience. Get boaring pretty quick when you are tired and low on energy and no one around you. Great effort on pulling through. Say not much fun when you have to walk!
Well done but is it really the uks hardest? What about the winter spine race? 268 miles in January and in the North pennines and Scottish Borders. Cornwall in winter is usually pretty mild in comparison. I guess the difference is the 36 hour cut off.
It's the hardest 100 miler in winter...we were super lucky with the weather with no wind or rain and moderate temperatures...often it is the opposite! Absolutely agree aglbout the spine...I'd say it is right up there but way above a 100 miler...huge respect
Getting my inspiration going by watching your fabulous AoA adventure 👊👊👊
Thanks my friend. You are going to absolutely rock it! Then see you on the UTS start line
To say Well Done doesn’t even start to pay the homage deserved for your achievement. Truly inspirational. Thank you for sharing. Ultimate.
Aaah really appreciate. We learn, and we grow...or try to!
