I bought my l120 new in 2003 , it has about 1000 hours on it now and I have only replaced battery's, belts , front wheel bushings and one deck spindle, it has been a great machine.
I bought mine L120 21 years ago and it just turned over 750 hrs. Oil leaking in the front. Plan to do some work on the frame and deck. Been moving 1 acre lot for that amount of time. Great mower.
I have the L130, same mower but has Kohler 23 hp engine, 20 years old and still going strong, normal maintenance and replaced spindles once and clutch, it’s been a great mower.
Man it took you that long to see those grease fittings? I have the L130 same mower just with 23 hp Kohler engine, my deck pulley covers have been there always and there’s no deck corrosion around them but I’ve always blown the deck and complete mower off with compressor air.
Your son looks like he's plotting your death😂. Those spindle bearings are sealed no need to grease them but I am curious what the fluid looks like in that transmission.

We have had ours for 20 yrs. It still runs. The front in of ours had to be fixed. That was the most expensive fix.

Some of the new replacement spindles come “dry” with a grease nipple for you to fill. 👍
