even a broken clock is right twice a day. Considering ALL the series ever and ALL their episodes, there's no idea that's completely original. People dó come up with similar ideas, without being prompted by others.
"You've come to the right person, my time's precious, what do you need? Yeah I'm Karl Pilkington, they call me the movie doctor what do you need Papa?"
18:22 Steve: I was fixing boilers Ricky's 2007 reaction - "Hahahahah!" Ricky's 2023 reaction - "And, just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right. Atheism is the starting point for all of us. It's about free speech. That reminds me of something Lisa said on an old video tape (cue slow music). So I wrote this tweet."
Yet another one for the collection - you're a legend Man Moth! Do you know whether the very first few shows of Series 1 are available anywhere? The earliest one I can find is the one you've uploaded, which has references to previous weeks, so there are obviously others that came before 10th Nov 01. I'd love to find the real episode 1, if it's out there somewhere....
+Rhythmchic Cheers Rhythmchic! I know, I've searched high and low for those elusive first episodes. There's quite a few of them too. I'm still looking though and I'll get them up straight away if I ever find them.
Please could you do a compilation of Ricky and Steve mocking the xfm listeners . ' There not Rick there stupid stupid people' comes to mind from smerch
This seems to be the original. Later, it was edited down to make the animated podcast. Then there was the bit about KP2. So, it kinda feels like there's more conversations about the first film idea than you'd think.
Great work Man Moth. Here's a very recent, fucking amazing post on Reddit which has a huge compilation of all things Ricky, Smerch and Karl. Seriously, check this out: www.reddit.com/r/rickygervais/comments/5lssrn/pilkys_new_collection/
Allan Hope -- nah, why would they? They've done like 72582 hours. Fuck all else to say, plus if I have to listen to that fat dwarf contrive his autistic shriek of a laugh I'll gouge my eyes out
alex walters - I'm here cos I'm subscribed. He makes it and breaks it. I wish i could sleep to these convos seriously because I love the frivolity, but every time that psychopath laughs it wakes me up. I swear to god it has to take a toll on a human like Karl who's spent close to 7 years in a room with him every Saturday for 2 hours. I think it's that genius thing - David Brent was a fucking masterpiece, but any genius has that autistic side, all you have to do is watch his interactions with robin ince to know Gervais is a desperately lonely unbalanced individual, who's funny, but seriously creepy on numerous levels.
Ricky getting annoyed at Karl saying people use noise to sleep has always bothered me. In fact, I don’t know how Ricky lives in London and doesn’t know about white noise machines. I got my first machine 20 years ago after I worked in a law firm with an integrated white noise system. It was there so that any sensitive conversations wouldn’t leak out into unintended ears. I had a neighbor five houses away with a barking dog so I discovered the Sound+Sleep company. I’ve got two in my room and one travel one - the travel unit is literally a miracle. Highly recommend white noise machines to everyone, but especially folks in busy noisy areas and people with tinnitus.
Karl's not wrong, oddly I learned this from nightmare on elm street but, after your heart stops beating which is when you're clinically considered dead, your brain stays functional for exactly seven minutes afterwards, past that point, your brain shuts down and you are unable to be resuscitated.
It annoys me how rick and steve poo poo karls film idea meanwhile ricks in a film where he can see ghosts and steves running around with the tooth fairy Films are allowed to be absurd The Love of Two Brains is certainly no worse than some of rick and steves filmography
If Karl said his film was a SCI-FI film set in year 3000 or something it wouldn't actually be a bad film. There are literally 1000s of shit films released each year that are worse than Karl's idea.
Once again, Ricki and Steve being too braindead to understand what Karls movie is about. Surely we would all consider keeping a loved one alive at all costs and even if not, its still a dilemma that runs much deeper than Ricki and Steves pseudo interlectualism. Play a fucking record

He also predicted that in 2020 people will be choking on germs n that. Then covid happened
Shows you how awful black mirror is
He predicted AR goggles and Ricky and Steve were having none of it. Said that it's stupid, pointless and would never work or happen.
I'd rather watch Karl's film than any of that Black mirror shite
So happy when you keep finding these and uploading it. Thank you Manmoth and happy 2017!

Karl is absolutely right about white noise, and about how you can hear your heartbeat with ear plugs.
😊
Karl's film idea was adapted last year into the Kevin Costner film Criminal😂 lots of similarities
