- A small showcase of the new large scale and more cinematic ground battles for 4.0, the upcoming release for Remake.
Keep in mind that we are still in an alpha state, and everything you see is a work in progress!
Damn Luke! That was super impressive, there was some great editing in there, I loved that explosion transition, and of course the music syncing was perfect
Ground is looking cinematic as hell, I know this is the cream of the crop from battlecam, but some of those shots are so friggin good! Great job on the video!
I'm liking that air support. always thought it was a little lacking in base game

I wonder if this rework changes AT-ST's so they don't fall over dead everytime someone looks at them in anger.
Or, if the Rebel tanks no longer have massive planetary shields that absorb every AT-AT shot.
Possibly this rework allows TIE's to fire twice before an AA turret across the map turns it into scrap metal.
Only time will tell...
The Empire was so shit in the vanilla version of this game that it was honestly so ridiculous. The entire game felt like it was just a Rebel Alliance power trip. Like if the Empire was really that weak in the lore they wouldn't even exist.

@@Peter22055 lots of people will also think it's overrated to, and again problem with that damn show is that everyone only wants clone wars era content let's just forget the civil war era and the sequels and disneys retconing of the EU ruined any chances for stuff in the new and old republic eras
@@delta2372 well you cant blame clone wars for ruining after rebel stuff, thats disneys fault dont forget it. And someone might overate it and so what, the show is the only canon we got in to clone wars on screen, no wonder people want more, myself included think of me what you want i still prefer it. SW is in clinky state rn, not even games are stable, ever since disney bough it. Im glad atleast something is beiing made.

Kinda love the Rebels tanks & vehicles kinda has that Warhammer vibe to it plus I think I will love playing as the Rebels

@Luke Lasermaster Just a question about to tiny detail. Since I didn't see any trooper wearing gear based on the map‘s weather (e.g. Snow,Desert,etc.). Will there be trooper armor variant in the formal version or later version?
Infantry has already changed a lot from what you see here. Many new models have been added, aliens, new amor to specialized troops. It's not weather based though.

What factions are in this game besides empire and rebellion ? I see that there are separatists tanks and droids ? Are these the separatists holdouts ?

I think those Separatist Vehicles are like Rebel Units, sense the rebels do tend to use old vehicles.
So most of the assets are taken from the AOTR, as I can see. Well, there is no point to play this mod unless you will add something differentiating from that mod, because right now it looks just like AOTR with less balancing involved. Glad that you took the best ground rework available tho.
Does AotR have large scale combat? No
Does AotR have the biggest ground maps ever seen in EAW? No
Does AotR have regiment sized companies of units? No
Does AotR have smooth ground fighter movement? No
Does AotR have an armor system with penetration and bounce? No
Does AotR have custom Bunkerbusters, tank destroyers, SPGs? No
Does AotR have large scale skirmish frontline maps? No
Does AotR even have a refined skirmish mode? No
The list goes on and on. AotR and RE are nothing alike. You can’t even compare the two mods besides sharing assets
@@Kasderan I really hope so, especially because AOTR have large scale combat, different classes of units with different roles, armor system with several different layers, and well balanced unit sizes and combat in general.
So, i really hope that you will manage to do something unique here. Don't get me wrong, i was not trying to insult you, i have constructed my words as good as my language knowledge allowed me.
@@dimazaharov8565 Aotr doesn‘t really have large scale combat. At least not compared to RE. And we always employ balanced gameplay, I just don’t understand why you assume we wouldn’t.
And yes Aotr has different armor classes but these are simple compared to RE‘s damage system. We calculate damage not only via a damage matrix but also with a probability of penetrating armor or bouncing off armor. If you are familiar with games like Men of War, you will get what I am talking about. That alone is fairly unique and not seen in EAW before. Coupled with large regiments that you move across vast maps and long range combat is something never seen before. We are very proud of this combat and honestly it is very disrespectful to compare us to AotR just bc we share assets.
Anyway, I hope you will check 4.0 out when it releases and see for yourself that we are far from just a copy of another mod

With ages of empires getting remastered and fourth game I hope the company that made EAW will remaster the game soon.

The models look amazing. But with so many mods putting obscure vehicles on the game, i still cant belive no one did the AT-MP again
The AT-MP is in the mod!
It is used by certain minor factions, mainly the Sith cultists. If you capture their capital you can build them too.
