Another song that flows, and Lilly just listens in silence. She doesn't sing along because she wants to listen. Its nice!

A nice, if sad, song, and the singer has a pleasant voice. It used to be played a lot on Radio 2 in the 80s. Sad that he passed so young. Glad that Lilly liked it.

Well choreographed smooth beautiful song even if the lyrics are a bit sad.......Nice pick and I love the Auto-harp which is rarely used anymore...

Coincidentally I dusted off some vinyl and was listening to this a few days ago on a K-Tel compilation album "Night Moves" (1979). Around the same time was The Buggles: Video Killed the Radio Star which should be worth a listen for Lilly.

K Tel compilation? that's definitely going back a while.

My goodness, I had forgotten about those K-Tel compilation LPs. I had at least one, don't think it was Night Moves, probably from 77/78. I'm pretty sure it is among a pile of other records in our loft.

I remember this song, the first time i heard it was in the late 90s when i worked in Tesco doing the nightshift filling shelves. We used to play the radio through the loudspeaker and I remember when the song finished everybody was asking each other who the singer was cos we all liked the song was but nobody knew who the singer was. I remember going into the local record shop the next day to ask who the artist was and they said it was Randy Vanwarmer but they would have to order the cassette tape in and it would take up to 6 weeks, so i ended up buying a copy of the Record Collector magazine which was brilliant for finding records and tapes at the time, and managed to find the tape on there. It's one of those songs you just like instantly, beautiful song and beautifully sung. I love this video with the girls dancing to it, it's really nicely filmed. Great reaction guys 🎵🎵💜💜🎵🎵

I think a lot of it is about timing, so many of my favourite songs come from somewhere between 1966 and 1976, so from when I was about 8, to 18. When punk came along I absolutely hated it, in fact I still do.
By the 80's my interest in music was fading a bit, but Dire Straits always kept me listening.

@@Lilly8Listens I was so glad that you guys reacted to this song because it brought so many great memories for me. The 60s and 70s were great decades for music, so many great bands like The Seekers etc and all those brilliant 70s hits by Abba, Dire Straits etc it was just magical times. I'm really glad you're letting Lilly hear all your music, you have very good taste in music i have to say 👍

Such a nice song, the simplicity of it, and a good vocal. You seemed captivated Lilly. Good reaction. Steve i tried that too, 500 songs and it was hard, i did it again a few years later
and was surprised i almost had them in same order( few additions of songs, new to me in time gap) Enjoy your day both of you.

I've also taken a look at my folder and thought "How on earth did I put that one in there?" usually it's a more modern song that I quite liked at the time, but that didn't stand the test of time like the others did.

Beautiful song Lilly, I think it came out when I was about 12 or 13, still a good song, could you react to one more for me?
It’s called My Back Pages from the Bob Dylan 30th Anniversary Concert, it’s a live song featuring Bob Dylan, who wrote it, and five other legendary artists, including Eric Clapton

I just had a listen, and it's not bad at all, in fact I often like reggae versions of songs, Help me make it through the night and Moon River are two that instantly spring to mind.

Nice song do you play it in the van with the heater on (oh dear) Steve comments blocked for REM reaction so leave my views here. Rem are one of the few non British bands i like this is a great song Santa Claus even made an appearance to celebrate Lilly wearing her Team Rudolph top.

Sorry no van, just a truck that got stuck in the muck oh yuck!!! A Fu....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤭🤭🤭 Randy Van Warmer was born in West Virginia USA he moved to Colorado, and then around 11 years after that he moved to Seattle WA, and sadly passed away from cancer in 2004. May he rest in peace he's loved by many in our hearts, and that's warm enough!!! 😂😢🎼🎵🎶,

Randy Vanwarmer would have been no older than 24 when he recorded this in 1979. He died _way_ too young.
