That literally just gave me CHILLS!!! It started off a little off key, but he NAILED it by the end. I just can't believe he can still do this. We are so lucky.
, the new SCORPIONS album has some really good ones especially the extra tracks Unleash The Beast, When Tomorrow Comes, Shoot For Your Heart & Out Go The Lights. Peacemaker, Gas In The Tank, Shining Of Your Soul & Rock Believer are also pretty good. The only song I like of the new JP album is Panic Attack. The 80's were their best songs
Literally applauding and throwing horns up while listening to this alone in my bed when i should be sleeping.......rob is an absolute beast 🤘🤘 73 and still the best there is 🤯 the whole band sounds phenomenal 👏👏👏
As with all tours the first few dates are usually a bit rough around the edges and you can 100% hear which songs he's more comfortable with but unless he gets ill I think we'll have some fantastic shows coming up! And with that said I was surprised he sounded as good as he did back in 2018 and it's now 2024 and he's well into the 70's and still sound way better than should be seemingly possible lol
@@coreyfoster7322 Yea it for sure seems that way! There has been some rough spots in recent tours but most often that has been cause he's been ill and rarely and off day/week. And with how demanding the songs are I can imagine the line between sounding good and bad gets thinner and thinner with age. But yes I'm gonna see them later this year too and is very much looking forward to it!
@@Steeler_yes! I saw them at Foxwoods in CT when he was really sick (they canceled the following show) for me it’s like this: I was too young (or not born yet) to see them way back. Any chance I get now I will take because you never know when it will be the last. I also appreciate the uniqueness of each and every show.
I'm actually more bothered by the constant feedback from the Floor monitors than Rob's voice. He did amazing for a first show at 72 y/o, but that feedback is wildy unlike the Priest soundy. Wonder if its the venue? Either way

Yeah this very 1st gig was not Rob's best that's right, but I am pretty sure Rob will get better as the tour goes on
Jesus the front are really rocking 😳look like there at the library, WTF 😳 when I’ve seen them play that live I was going mental then crying at the end 😢a rollercoaster of a song, one that will be played at my funeral 💥🙏
I've been really enjoying reading everybody's stories, and thanks for sharing yours. This was an all-seated gig and, as such, didn't allow a lot of movement. The front row was also told to stand back and clear from the barrier early in the night. The crowd still tried to get involved with singing along, throwing up the horns, clapping and a little air guitaring on their confined spot 🤘
Unbelievable! Rob and the band still rocking! Rob looks like Santa Claus in leather I just had to say but that’s not a criticism, just being funny and couldn’t help it! Thanks for sharing this video!
Wow! Thanks for posting. VoC is the one song that I ALWAYS want to see in the setlist. For this 62 yo metal head, who wore the grooves off of the Sad Wings of Destiny album, I never tire of hearing this epic song. While I'll always think that KK's version of the solo is the gold standard, I'm very impressed with Ritchie injecting his own personal flair into the solo....pretty freak'n awesome!
Fkn awesome. I think this tops even the version on Unleashed In The East. Richie's solo is off the scale and Rob's vox are still incredible. Chills !!!
Not really a priest fan, but the band sound good and Halfords voice is incredible especially considering his age. I am amazed at the negative comments here from the usual " if theres a certain member missing its not really Judas Priest" which is really quite pathetic...bands grow/develop/lose members especially over 50 years! Then there are the personal attacks on how people look etc. Having been involved in the industry for many years may i suggest those who are complaining grow a pair of balls and see if they can get on a stage in front of thousands of people and play? It takes a certain kind of person to do it and Judas Priest and Saxon seem to be delivering the goods on this tour. Its a pity the crowd seem so reserved...almost like being in the States.
@@rocknroll1964 halford's voice doesn't only have the high notes and the screams but he has a big range in the way he interprets each song. he has a much bigger range in how he performs the songs theatrically. tim owens is a singer with a huge range like young halford but he's American, more raw vocalist he doesn't have halford's lyricism
They should alter the setlist for the U.S.A. and put some gems in like island of domination, evening star, and grinder which they played on the British steel tour in 1980 in New York when they did a live radio broadcast on WLIR fm a day after 4th of July and they were blowing up M80’s in that small amphitheater on Long Island, the show is out there from the Calderone concert hall 4/5/80
Rob was in unbelievable form. Priest really rocked, Saxon a tad too thrashy for me, enjoyed the older stuff (my era!!) and Roswell, but Uriah Heep, wtf???? Only 5 songs??? I hope Heep get a lot more airtime at the subsequent gigs, as their sound was brilliant. First time at the Hydro from west Cumbria. Brilliant venue. If you can catch this show, do so !!!
yes but Richie naileeeed that solo!! And Andy is much better than he was few years ago. While no one can replace Glenn and KK, I can still say that these two are awesome!
Indeed. And it seems its 'verboten' to acknowledge that the band is the poorer for it, now that the twin guitar attack that helped cement tneir legendary status is now sadly passed, as qualified as Mr. Faulkner is to replicate both guitar parts of classic songs. That doesmt take away from the new album, which is excellent.
Rob sounds great, but it's just not the same without Glenn and KK. I saw the real Judas Priest live a couple times back in the 70s and 80s. That's when Rob had long hair 🫨
Rob still a killer with the voice, but I really wish he would change his look. Lose the beard and nose ring and dress down a bit instead of the giant coat.
@@oldrichvoralek7716How many bands that are this old still have the original lineup touring? ZZ Top was able to make that claim until Dusty passed away and Motley Crue, albeit not as old, was still doing it until their fallout with Mick Mars but I really can't think of too many others unless it's a one off show here and there. If you want to see a band that's been out for 40+ years, with the original lineup, doing a full blown tour your options are limited.
