Thank you so much for posting this! I'm going through the same thing. I'm doing everything "right" and I feel better, but my scale went up and it's such a mindf*
You’re doing great. I stopped getting on the scale because I would get discouraged and quit. I’ve been trying since January 2020 and I gave up on myself because of the scale. The scale is trash. Keep going girl we got this 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
🗣️ THE SCALE IS TRASH! That's a fact. It doesn't tell the whole story. The reality is it's going to take time and I can't rush it. I hope you're finding encouragement because you can do it!!
You have to be patient… you are addicted to sugar/processed foods and oils…. just like the rest of us.. knowledge is power… read more and keep your carbs low… insulin resistance
I think it's muscle mass. I lost 75 lbs between 2017 and 2018 via calorie counting alone. Almost no exercise. (I was 220. I'm now 145.) I can say in my case, the scale was correct 99% of the time because I really didn't exercise. But I used to HATE the scale during those few small periods when I was actually working out. The scale sometimes wouldn't reflect the loss that I knew should be occurring mathematically. I know how many calories my body needs to maintain my weight, and I always ate a few hundred less than that, yet the scale would sometimes say that I gained or stayed the same - but only when I was exercising. I never have this problem when I'm not exercising. I believe it was changes in my muscle mass. Our bodies also retain water when the muscles are repairing themselves after exercise. A tape measure is a much better way of measuring your weight loss when you're working out.
I think you're 100% right, and your insight is especially interesting because you're able to compare your results while exercising vs when you didn't. Super useful comment. Thank you!
Try fasting it really works You should look into it I been trying to lose weight with dieting counting calories and walking... It's hard But I tried fasting for three weeks and it works and I eat what I want tired of counting calories. Within three weeks my stomach almost flat Stay strong you can do it
My scale hasn’t moved all year, yet my obliques are definitely shrinking. We got this! You’ve inspired me to try LifeSum, because I thought the advice it was giving you could be helpful. 🤗
When you gain muscle your weight might go up because muscle weights more than fat but it takes less space in the body.. Do not pay so much attention to the scale but go by how you feel and how your clothes are fitting.
What app are you using to track you calories? New subscriber. Congrats on your non scale victory 👏🏽. I’m going to start my weight loss journey tomorrow. But only weighing myself once per month. Looking at the scale can be discouraging.
I really connected with you while I heard your struggles and feelings. This is exactly how I feel. I just started my weight-loss journey about a month ago and I've been exercising. I feel like the weight-loss that the scale shows does not reflect my hard work so I've decided to go by how I feel, how I look and how my clothes fit. The scale truly discourages me. I'm so happy I found your channel. I feel we're doing this together. Thank you for opening up and sharing your journey with everyone.
Agree. Let the scale go and focus on how your clothes fit.
100%. Idk why the scale is always the standard for measuring fat loss progress. It's no longer my standard. Lol

You can do it! Change takes time. Everything you do creates a tiny bit of positive change, but it adds up to major changes if you keep going.

It’s called no scale victory girl keep on going
Yep! And we have to find ways to get those instead of depending on the scale.
You are so freakin cute❣️🥰
use ur tape measure and do measurements of ur arms waistline thighs and hips it's more accurate that way the scale sucks just saying
Yep, I did. Video is coming!!

Good job friend! You're more than likely gaining muscle and loosing fat! Way to go on your small successes during your journey ❣️
Thank you so much!! 💕

It could just be muscle mass, especially if you're getting alot of protein. Muscle mass makes you gain but you appear lean. That's a good thing
I agree. So glad I have other methods of tracking my progress.

That's a good idea. I'll probably try it as a challenge and see what happens.

Yes. I'm realizing that.
Don’t give up, keep going. 😊
Thank you!
I weight myself once a month cause the scale is not the best way to see if I'm losing weight
It's definitely not. I know that for sure now.
