My grandfather was one of those Jewish boxers in the 1920s. He was an undefeated Golden Gloves champion. He was about to turn pro when his mother found out what he was doing. She forbade him to fight and he listened. So his dreams were killed and he never boxed again.

I grew up in the Bronx back in the 70's and confronted tons of Antisemitism. In 1980 my family made Aliyah. The best decision ever! Years ago I heard about the chance of another Holocaust in the US and things look like it's going that way.

@@lornestyles7048 Just imagine if Judaism were a proselytizing religion with as many missionizing Jews as there are evangelical Xtians, constantly inserting themselves into the comments sections of Xtian websites, UA-cam vids, etc. telling you how much they love you and are praying that you see the light … or alternately, telling you that you’re going to spend eternity burning in hell for having the wrong beliefs. Do you think you’d be insulted by this, especially after 2000 years of it? I’m not sure, maybe at first. But I think after a while you’d just be rolling your eyes, thinking “can’t these people control themselves, especially when we keep telling them just go away and bother someone else.” Personally, I’m not insulted by it, I just think it’s pathetically immature behaviour, like that of a child who can’t control himself and keeps bothering his parents for something he’s been told repeatedly they’re not going to buy him.
On this subject, I heartily recommend a track I discovered by accident (it appeared in my 'recommended' feed) by a British band called UNIT. The track is A Tribute To The Israeli Defence Force and it is excellent - tuneful and forceful without being bombastic combined with a lovely lyric. I know next to nothing about the group but on investigation I see they've recorded a whole batch of Jewish related tracks such as Pesach, Yom Kippur, Bar Mitzvah, Israel Is Real, The 613 Mitzvot and probably others I don’t know about yet. Some of them feature Rabbi Moshe Bryski which is definitely a recommendation in itself.

I`m American of Irish decent and simply can`t understand antisemitism. Sixty years ago I grew up in a town were the population was atleast one third of the population was Jewish. I found the Jewish for the most part to be very good people. There was (like with the asians) a great emphasis put on education. The Jewish are high achievers for this reason. It might just be my luck but I meet and have known alot of very good and nice people who are Jewish.

It is so interesting how similar and widely lived his experience with Hebrew school is. Just to the age of Bar Mitzvah. I know this is the minimum in Judaism. Just fascinating that some can relate to this guy generations later.

You did good. A non Theological & social approach to solving problems related to Jewish community - that is the way to go. In your legal interactions & transactions with people of all backgrounds - there is the answer from a Jewish perspective.
I would call your views & approach as a social approach as per Reform Judaism.
There are very good outreach type programs today for Jews especially in educational field - but the problem is the sheer mass of anti Semitic leaderships & movements in the world. Even among University students & staff there are political lines dividing everyone - the Campus protests are a good example.

Just started listening a couple of minutes in. In those early years, Rabbi Jacob Joseph traveled from Radin to NY, pleading with the Jews there to build Yeshivas. They just ignored him, thinking that only shuls and day schools were necessary. It wasn't until after his death that they realized he was right. Intermarriages were happening left and right. Jewish pride is worthless without learning Torah.
