I learned more from this one video than I have from watching 20 others. Thank you very much.
Hey Kelly, I just wanted to say thanks for your fly tying videos. You do an excellent job of explaining things in your flying tying videos. Just really getting past the basic stuff and you have been a huge help taking the step.
awesome tie, great techniques thx Kelly.
Nice Caddis -- i had not heard Butch haircut in several decades.
Thanks Michael. -H
Kelly, I love your videos, thanks for posting them. I'm a novice tyer and I'm having a bit of trouble with the Butch Caddis. The material wants to rotate around the hook when I pull my half hitches tight at the end, largely because radius of material around the hook makes a pretty big lever. Once it slips even a little, it's no longer anchored and it's impossible to keep the material in place. Any tip for avoiding this?
Love your fly perfect for fishing the duo
Galloupslideinn got jacked
I will tie this fly on a bigger hook for catching smallies in the summer.
many many tips in this vid
thank's a lot
👍 We've got new patterns out. Swing by and take a look. -H
looks identical to the Madam X
A lot of these patterns are slight variations based on local variations in fish and bugs. Kelly is a master at this and I'm sure that's what's behind this particular customization of the pattern. -H
Kelly should call it the "butch caddisy"
