- With the new Sun Wukong hero skin out, I've been seeing lots of monkey boi's running all over Heathmoor, and there have been some pretty creative designs (most of which are Super Saiyans), but there's one design I want to teach ya'll how to make. How do you make Wukong look lore accurate? How can we make Sun Wukong look like he actually does from the Journey to the West story?

As a Chinese, Journey To The West is the bedtime story that our parents would tell us when we were very little. Sun Wukong the Monkey King is the hero of every Chinese kid. Rumor says that after the Journey, Sun Wukong became the Fighting Buddha, and whenever a mortal was bullied, you just need to cry out for the great sage, he would come and save you. Get me goosebumps when I saw Ubisoft put our childhood superhero into the game

For the feats. I’m rep70 shaolin these days i’m just average. I got my shaolin to 70 years ago before his rework. And in all that time what I learned is that Qi trap is by far the best tier one feat and probably one of the best in game if you use it properly. Don’t know it is not used more. The value that knowing where your opponents are going when they spawn is just too good. For appearance I love your idea. The super saiyan to me just seems like what everyone is doing and not interesting at all. Goku is based on sun wukong, but not him. This skin is sun wukong. Idk i prefer to have it how it’s supposed to be

I got my Sun wukong today, his hair reminds me of the super saiyan 3 hair from DBZ. Ubisoft should pat themselves on the back for this one cause this one is insane!

@@uncleiroh9134 I mean it does get repetitive playing the same maps 15 times a day. Like we haven’t gotten a new map in so long that everyone knows all the maps like the back of their hand so I don’t even know why you’re trying be rude for no reason when I’m just stating my opinion. Like you can’t tell me that you wouldn’t want at least one year to be like year 3 where we got 4 heroes and 4 maps. Heck even just 4 maps would be good and I think we can take a break from heroes and focus on map’s because we already have 33 characters and next season we’re going to have 34 in total. I also get that there is a possibility that Ubisoft might not be in a state to do it but you can’t tell me that we can’t get at least one map in one year. Don’t you want more worthwhile content that the whole community can enjoy instead of Ubisoft wasting resources on hero skins that most of the community won’t use and new heroes that make the game even more unbalanced? They also waste resources on universal executions and emotes that further ruin the actually really cool and original atmosphere this game had and the universal content also further adds to the games toxicity with how annoying they are. The game has a genuine identity crisis now and has become very inconsistent. Like every time they do a cinematic trailer it shows badass and serious warriors and so on but once you get into the game it’s “funny sword goofy Fortnite dances game”. Only original players will understand how good the old atmosphere was. Anyways there is a bunch of maps from less played game modes and story mode that they can reuse for Dominion with a few small tweaks like ladders and cleared and opened pathways. We can get new maps like Westhold Castle, Ashfeld Moor, Blackstone Fortress, Secluded Keep, Imperial Palace, Svengard and so on. They can even make each section for Breach maps a Dominion map each like Walled City for example and it probably wouldn’t take many resources and it would satisfy the community since Dominion is the most played game mode.

I think the emote 'Gegege' took inspiration from the actor called LiuXiaoLinTong who is the most iconic SunWuKong's actor in China. He do this move to present SunWuKong's excitement when he mocks his enemy or ZhuBaJie.

I ask mainly because of the colour swatch.

The color and material are not limited time. Only the execution Ruyi Jingu Bang is.
If you simply can't get that one, then another good option is Shua Peng, as it fits well.

Hey man loved the video I was already a Shaolin main because of the shan gui suit looking like sun wukong so when I saw this I went crazy but I wanted to point out sun wu Kong is based of of the Rhesus Macaque which is known for their golden fur so wu Kong is meant to have gold fur
raven what are you thoughts on warden's new plate armor?

The only thing I hate is that they claim it’s clean armor but the fabric is a bit torn and when you add a different color to it the basic white color kind of bleeds though the added colors so it kinda of looks odd on the fabric areas.
You can't see it in the hero customization screen, but any color swatch that makes Wukong's clothes red will also make his eyes red.
I think I'll try to do the same, shame it'll take a bit of grinding before I get there xD. I like how he looks at least.

I think it’s interesting and cool and stuff but I personally don’t feel like it’s For Honor. I still kinda miss the old feeling of For Honor. I would prefer more grounded skins like Conquistador Vela for example. I do hope that Monkey King Wukong doesn’t actually exist in For Honors universe and is just a legend in the lore. I think legends and mythology and things like that are cool I just hope the characters don’t literally exist in For Honor lore wise. I like to think that Monkey King Wukong is just a pure legend while Conquistador Vela, Commander Ravier, and Inquisitor Yinchen are actual characters who exist in For Honors universe while I believe that Lord Ramiel, Yokai Slayer Meiko, and Bolthorn The Cursed are characters who existed in For Honor’s universe but basically their stories were mythologized over time sort of like Ragnar Lodbrok from real life where there’s a chance he existed but over time he became a legend too.

(keep in mind that there are different versions, these are just those that i know)
0:24 actually(as far as i know), the Monkey-King didn't originated from Journey to the West, rather it's the last Chapter of this Legend & his Redemption-Arc, but it IS where he got his most known Title, i just assume you meant Journey to the West + the Story before that
2:58 does he? i thought he is called a Stone Monkey because he hatched out of a Rock/Boulder (on top of a Mountain)
4:30 shouldn't Heal on Block not also fit then?
6:04 that's new to me, didn't he just ripped a Pillar from the Temple as his Weapon of choice

6:49 you can be 100% certain with it because Shaolin was absolutely designed whith Wukong in Mind (has surely nothing to do with Spider(Hyphen)Man must be a coincidence)
7:07 does the Weapon now have the power or is maybe not rather Wukong doing that via Magic
7:30 its actually a Stab, the velocity with that the Staff elongated impales the Opponent's Shoulder (as well as propelling the Executioner upwards, the Character extra grabs the Staff with both Hand for the Launch)
8:36 it works both ways, he became a bit more humble at the End of the Story
9:23 i heard that it ended up burning just his Mortality & this way making him Immortal once again (in the end he had 7 different Immortalitys, some of them potentially multiple)

Since For Honor is diving more directly into mythology with this skin, it gives me some ideas if they follow this through into the other factions.
Obvious one for the vikings is a Thor skin for Jorm. Or they could go with one of his sons if they wanna commit to the idea that he is dead. If it is Thor though, give him his belt and gauntlets. I'm a bit tired of not seeing them. Either way have the real serpent be the event boss. I suppose another option is a Cernunnos skin for Highlander. Frankly though, William Wallace is a far more likely. So, maybe a myth accurate valkyrie skin for, well, valk.
For the samurai, oni for shugoki would be the easy choice. Another could be Susanoo for orochi, but then we have two storm god skins, both for ironically named base heroes. So another alternative I propose is either Izanami or Amaterasu skin for Nobushi.
Now knights is where it gets real interesting imo, cause you have two paths you can take; Roman and Christian. From the Roman side of things, Neptune for gladiator and Mars for centurion. From the Christian side Michael as a male black prior skin, and Samson for centurion, of course replacing his gladius with a donkey's jaw.
As for the Outlanders, could really only think of Anubis for medjay. Mainly cause I think you easily make the fan axe resemble his scales. Could even have a cutout portion within the blades, like on some Dane axes. Except instead of a cross shape, you have a heart shape on one blade and a feather shape for the other.
All of those ideas are amazing. I really like the idea of the Jorm one u said and the NOBU🔥
I think Kensei still has the best hero skin aswell as the event it came from.

I know wukong is a monkey but I've made mine look kind of lion like and it looks pretty sick and also my personal vision of my wukong is more of a cocky and terrifying god of humiliation and violence i don't have the executions or anything like that but i want this "Don't try me bish" feel like i will annihilate you and make you piss yourself in the process because I'm so much better than you and scarier too kind of like Kratos before he chilled out a bit
This is the explanation, there is a TLDR for the short answer. If you're going for accurate, the most accurate you can be is giving him red to black hair, although none of those colors unless its an event I do not have, allow him to have red or black hair with red armor. Also we are working with a Sun Wukong who has a full head of hair when he is referred to in the book as following "Why did you shave your hair and become a monk", this is something we can't mimic and hairy Wukong is cooler anyway. Otherwise Wukong isn't blond he is as the book states "a pignolia-eating Macaque" which is the Rhesus Macaque it is a kind of monkey and they have a golden red fur to brighter brown. His armor I just wish would color more with red or gold instead of just the trim because his armor was gold and red, not gold and steel, but thats again a limitation of the skin. I personally don't like glowing eyes to represent his burning eyes as they burned with golden irises, and I think that should've just been apart of his skin, cant change that either though.
TLDR; The most accurate Wukong you could make would need to have reddish hair and red armor, with gold or torchlight material, but with the whole hair thing I dont know of a color that can do that.

Your wukong is closer to the opera version of wukong not 100% lore accurate.
In the 1592 book the staff is black with gold tips not red with gold tips
If your going to use the myth verison older then the books. There two staff a gold one or a pure iron type one with no gold tips
Honestly he has got to be my least favorite hero skin, I even think bolthorn is better. I like Sun Wukong but this monstrosity is not him. The weapon is okay, the huge lion mane sucks, the giant ornament sucks, the armor sucks, the coloring isn't the best, you can't make a lore accurate colored wukong, the weapon clips through him all the time, he actually has a bigger hit box, just not a good skin in almost any regard, only the weapon design is good
Well you are free to your opinion...although if I were to point out one thing: The head ornament may not be accurate to the book, but it is accurate to how he would be portrayed in operas. The Lingzi is a commonly used headpiece to denote a powerful or high ranking warrior, so having Wukong wear one isn't inaccurate.
@@RavenKnightYT i know about the ornament and I'm fine with how it looks, its just a little too big for my liking, if that and his mane were shorter, that would be a bit better, other than that he needs a normal hitbox and less weapon clipping then I feel like I'd like him more. He still just needs to grow on me a little
