Thank you, this was so helpful! I worked perfectly! Just one question, I have my QR code, added my husband on my account & got his QR code, but only my name shows on both QR codes. Should it show my husbands name on his?
It sounds to me like you have printed your husband‘s QR code twice-it should have separate names on the QR codes. You can always go back in and don’t forget to select the drop-down list and select your name and then access the QR code as per the video, give it a go and let me know how you go!
Will the form allow us to enter a different reason for travel for each family member? My son and I are arriving together. But I'll be staying for a week to sightsee but he will stay for a few months for school. Thanks.
Yes because you need to fill out customs clearance for everyone so they get their own QR code.

I’m sorry I don’t know, but I do know you can choose from the calendar so I think it could be far in advance.

@laurenl169 if you do do it early you should check that there haven’t been any updates because they do require to redo it. I would probably do it in the month prior up to the week prior.

You need to check if your country is visa-exempt

Hello, I landed at Terminal 2 and had to fill out another declaration form when I got to Terminal 1.
You can just do that instead- a bit slower though
I added family members on my account...will they b issued a different qr code individually...i just got 1 qr code..no qr code for family members..is it ok or need to edit or do it again for family members on a separate act
You need to get an individual code for everyone-pay particular attention to the part where I show you should click on the drop-down to select each family member. You need those individual QR codes. I do cover it in there.
Hello. Im arriving in Japan in 4 week at Narita. What happens if i can't fill these forms out online? Will we have to fill them out at the desk when its our turn in customs? Will they send us to the back of the line to fill forms out if we haven't completed them?
They will direct you to a counter to fill in a manual form or you can stand around to do the online form.

My child was born in Japan and we are going back to Japan by May 31. Does she need to fill out this Visit Japan Web?
I am not sure about because I think there could be different rules for Japanese citizens
Hi, got the QR code with the name below. when i scan it, it's not a link, just a jumble of letters. is that how the japan qr code is formatted? thanks
There is an example at the beginning and during the video - can you see it? A square QR code - at time stamp 0.17

Yeah, I know. i got that code, when i scan that square QR code it's just a jumble of letters. usually such QR codes have a link which leads to the site where officials can verify. If you have a prior code which got accepted , can you point your phone, scan it and see if it goes to a link when you tap on it? thanks again
I registered me and my husband in the Visit Japan Web and we got our QR Codes and we took a screeshots of the codes. Are the screenshots enough to clear immigration? Thanks in advance.
Yes as long as you have your passport with you. Keep your boarding passes just in case.

Yes - theoretically you could do it when you land if you have wifi, but it’s much better to do it before you go so you’re ready for customs
