Since the property is in the name of your deceased father in law, your husband also has a share in it along with your mother in law and sister in law. So your mother in law cannot throw you and your family out of it, give it away wholly to anyone she wishes.

In our case my parents are senior citizens and they are being badly harassed by their dauter in law, Old person dont have any source of income and just have one house and its value is 35 Lakhs, they are giving fourth share to daughter in law when daughter refused they are now giving 15 Lakhs to end the dispute but she is demanding 30 Lakhs and there is no one to solve the matter. Such a fucked up system of this country
Our law is very confusing.As per my understanding if daughter in law have right to residence then she ll claim property in future. It is 100℅ correct.why she should not claim if she is living her matrimonial house from last 22 years. She ll definitely claim her husband share. Law can be if daughter in law already spend 15 years in matrimonial house, have a kids should legally rights on father in law property. Where she ll go?
