I'm 4 months pregnant And its been a month my husband chose to leave me after 5 yrs of relationship n 2 yrs of marriage because of my MIL and his neighbours and a friend of his brother. I worked in a IT company in mumbai 10 yrs but all of them forced me to resign and forced me to move to rajastan (his hometown) i dont belong to rajastan i'm a bengali and that place in rajasthan was new for me and they have weird tradition that once a girl is married she has to forget her mother and any further contact with her family. And also too much of mental physical torchure i faced from my husband mother in law and father in law but infront of people they behave like a complete different person and shows extra care to me and they tell people that she is our daugher not daughter in law so people can never suspect i was locked at home with bunches of restrictions wont get to eat properly couldnt contact anyone at home or any friends to save me from this condition i was devastated metally disturbed traumatized. Couple of times my husband attemped to kill me if i don't behave like their puppet and listen to them coz iam not allowed to speak a word or any polite denial to him or them if i disagree with anything. Well i found there restrictions weird and irrational to which he calls our indian culture well im not defaming our culture but if anybody could explain me how to adjust with this... 1) you are not allowed to eat bananas on thursdays and also on certain days like amavasya purnima or so n so 2) not allowed to visit parlour on tue thurs sat 3) not allowed to apply oil on hair on sat 4) you are mostly not allowed to eat rice and strictly not during amavaya purnima navratri and thrice every month they call it gyaras. 5) women are advised to eat mostly stale n leftover 6)daughter in laws are not allowed to sit on sofa 7) daughter in laws are not allowed to step out of the house. And many more Ps. My husband and I dated for 5 yrs he knew i was never raised in such society traditions still he chose to torchure me like that. Mostly he prefers to sleep under his mothers blanket and mother would throw a single blanket to me a ask me to sleep separate. His mother would give excuse that his father or their maid wont like to see us sleeping togather .. they took all my savings my money left my all account empty and i would ever ask for 10rs chips also my husband would create a scene and start behaving agressive and throw stuffs at me like phones chargers or whatever he can grab and hit me with that. I finally escaped somehow from rajasthan last month thankfully im home now when i said that i will file a case agaist u all they are proving that im putting false allegations on them and trying to prove me insane. I dont know what to do coz i m pregnant too.
