- Let's head to the coast to pick up the owner. Low IFR departure, enroute IMC and Precipitation. Let's compare XM weather to our actual onboard radar. Perhaps next video should be on Pilot Etiquette? Comment below on your thoughts on this. Trip back involved a little more circumnavigation for some cells. Thanks for Watching!

Flying VFR on top is great sometimes but not always
Nice flight Pete .. that King air was hauling ass to beat you to it .. He could have easily did one turn at the FAF to allow you in onto 14 ... nice flight , cant beat the weather radar and the XM in the G1000 ..
When atc is planning on you being number 1 and I cancel I should have still been number 1. He knew what he was doing. Not nice. If it were a tie I’d gladly give way to the guy burning more fuel. Oh well. All good.
@@ProPilotPete true , all good but gave you a lot of extra work to do setting up for a different runway and slowing down to follow the king air .. Hope you had a good flight back ..

Nice one Pete! The KA with all the rushing only got on the ramp a few minutes quicker. Not worth the risk. Is that the GoPro Quik app your using to control the camera?
Yes I’m using the GoPro Quik app. I bought the remote but it’s hit or miss to connect. I wanted the remote so I could start all 3 cameras at the same time, easier editing. Only worked a few times, mainly during testing on the ground.

Must had been a slow moving front as XM/Radar were pretty close.
Above 20 acres = Lake
Below 20 acres = Pond

Great vid. Thank you. Mic gain into the camera could be reduced a bit to reduce that over modulation.

@@RHD_327 I’m using my 12 for the audio. I have an 8 that I use for side views, and a 5 but I haven’t been using it lately. I struggled with getting good audio but finally got it working well in the CJ3
How big is your radar antenna? 10 inches? What is the beam width of your radar? What tilt setting do you like in cruise? John, ATP/CFII SMEL
I believe it’s an 8” dish in the Baron, typically 8° up works well at the low altitudes we fly.
