I'm really glad that they didn't use this version of the scene. It's just way too overdone. What's brilliant about the scene from the movie is how simple and innocent it is while being bold as well. The version with all the gymnastics tricks would have taken alot of the emotion out the scene. I like the idea of the boy Sam being more normal, instead of being an insanely good gymnast. Part of the sheer genius of this film is how relatable and realistic a lot of the characters are- this would have taken that away quite a bit. The real scene is just absolute perfection. It's probably my favourite scene.
Natalie Bruce i do agree that the gymnastics would have taken away a bit of emotion, but i still feel that they are very nicely done. he is a boy in early teens, energetic and very good gymnast. he can certainly use it to his advantage. it is not a kind of adult love situation like that of Jamie's, where there is romance and mushiness. it is more of a adolescent kid stuff. i guess it can have a touch of adventure to it. what do you think?
I'm with you, Natalie. It would have made the scene--and the character of Sam--totally unbelievable. The way it is is a bit far-fetched, but sweet. The way it would have been would have been outlandish to the point of buffoonery.
I actually saw a version of this movie that included this scene. No other gymnast references. It was super confusing.

I agree, better without the gymnastics stuff. However, I've always felt that there's something missing in between, as the guards just seem to vanish at some point in time, and now I know why.
I'm glad they cut this scene out. It's so distracting and out of place... The final scene in the movie, on the other hand works very well. It's more realistic and I think it has a nice charm to it.
As a gymnast, I would have been embarrassed had this scene been left in. It is so unrealistic that it would have undermined the beauty of the whole film (which i love as it is)
I literally pissed in my pants cause I was laughing so hard. I am so glad they didn't take this scene in the movie, it's a little bit too unrealistic🤣😂😂😂😂
What the fuck was that? He starts doing all those cheesy unrealistic flips? I'm glad they cut it. It makes no bloody sense why he would do that. Especially the cartwheels.
That's the whole point. It's supposed to be unrealistic as that's the comedy part of it. It's making fun of how unrealistic all these films with airport chases are and how they would never happen in real life. And as for cheesy have you seen the film? The whole point in it is cheesy extravagant romantic gestures. That's what makes it great. Haha.
I agree. This would have ruined the whole movie as it REALLY stupid how (the stunt double who is too tall for Thomas) is doing jumps and backflips which only slow down his 'make a run for it'. I cant believe they even shot these scenes never mind remotely considered putting them in the movie.
The thing about this version of Sam's run, besides the fact that it is, as most everyone says, laughably bad, with all the doubles being easily twice his height, is that it is so pointless. What the heck does he need to go cartwheeling between the seats instead of just running down the aisle? How is that any faster (hint: it isn't)? When he leaps over the crouching guard at the first gate, why does he need to throw in a turn in the air? What the heck for (other than showing off)?
Omg Thomas Sangster is so adorable :3 The tricks he did in this clip were so incredible :D And we see, that he was always a runner, before he came into the maze and get the limp and all that stuff... :'( Sorry, I'm having a bloody fangirl attack right now :'(
I like how they explain that this is a rough cut and then elaborate on that by saying it would have had "effects" if it had been finalized. Maybe they were going to CGI the stunt double's legs shorter? Srly tho, this is kinda the most perfect type of movie "extra," it's just so bonkers I love it.
I actually liked that they didn't put it in... even with they added the scene before saying that he was good at gyminastics, it is still so random... I'm still bummed that they cut the scne before he and his dad talk on the bench though... it was hilarious!
I've read the original intention for Rowan Atkinson's character was to be an angel.- all the wrapping nonsense at the counter was to stop Alan Rickman's character from buying the jewelry for the secretary and all the business at the airline counter was to give Sam the opportunity to sneak past to get to the gate.
I truly thought this was filmed as a joke… I thought it was way too crazy for it to be legit an actual scene that was cut… That freakin guy actually wanted this in the movie!?!?! WHATTT?!
It's one of my all time favourite movies and I've seen four scenes, that didn't make it to the final version. Although many ot them have received huge praise, I'm glad those were left out. But now I understand, why Emma Thompson called this movie "psychotic" and "out there".
I'm 16 but it's been like ten years I constantly fall in love again with Thomas Sangster whenever I watch Love Actually (when I was a kid I used to say it was my favorite movie just because I was in love with Sam ahah, he'll stay my first crush ever). Anyway, I think it would have been really weird to see this scene in the movie, that wouldn't have looked realistic, the final version is way better, really sweet and absolutely perfect!

Well said I completely agree!

No, he is the fountain of youth
Legend has it he is still cartwheeling to this day
The transition from little boy to the tall double is just so ridiculous 😂
I'm glad they cut this scene out. It's so distracting and out of place... The final scene in the movie, on the other hand works very well. It's more realistic and I think it has a nice charm to it.
WE GOT A VERY CUTE RUNNER IN THE AREA
stitch the alien newt was a runner, the tried to commit suicide when he was in the maze and ended up with a broken leg.
Gabby Grimaldi by jumping off a wall!
thanks God somebody smarter suggested not to add this scene !
Ferb's got some moves
I've crushed on him since nanny McPhee
And how old are you? xD
He was 15 in nanny McPhee. It's not that weird to like him for that long...
15?? he looked like 8 xD my bad x) But still if you were 25 or 10 it would have been weird xD
Same :D
+Ronie96 he was 13 I thought he was like 4
“Hell yea” -Karina

that would have been a little over the top.
It would have ruined the whole dam movie..
PLOT TWIST: JOHANNA IS ACTUALLY THOMAS. NEWT WAS RUNNING FOR THOMAS. #NEWTMAS

I do wish they'd left this in because the tricks are incredible and so well done.
Thank you! :D I wish that too that they kept this scene in my friend :)
I think the gymnastics aspect would've been a cool thing for Sam.
Yes it would have my friend :) I wish they didn't cut this scene out :'(
Mmhmm this is totally my favorite deleted scene.

HE IS SO SHUCKING ADORABLE.
Ryan George sent me here.
I'm so glad they cut this scene, because what? And the stunt double was very obviously twice the kid's size 🤣
The soundtrack for this is utterly spectacular.
As a gymnast, I would have been embarrassed had this scene been left in. It is so unrealistic that it would have undermined the beauty of the whole film (which i love as it is)
BRO LITERALLY SAME HERE- I'M ALSO A GYMNAST AND LIKE THIS IS UNREAL💀💀🤣🤣
I literally pissed in my pants cause I was laughing so hard. I am so glad they didn't take this scene in the movie, it's a little bit too unrealistic🤣😂😂😂😂
The score to this movie was absolutely amazing! Still play the album frequently.
Hell yeah, Jacob, excellent recommendation!
Hell yeah. Thanks Drawfee
always had trouble with the end of this scene when she comes back to give him a kiss.........the entrance is a mile away from her gate!!
What the fuck was that? He starts doing all those cheesy unrealistic flips? I'm glad they cut it. It makes no bloody sense why he would do that. Especially the cartwheels.
it was a draft
parkour

In the original darft there was supposed to be a scene of him Training, so it wiuld not have been out of the blue
I'm here from drawfee.
I guess you could say that he's been "The Glue" his whole life... ;)
I'm crying 😢😢😢
+Gabby Grimaldi Ow don't speak about that :'(
+Natika Weinert SHUTUP NO PLEASE I CANT
lol yasss
Well, we know what Newt did before the maze!! No wonder he was a runner
Here from Drawfee. Hell yeah!!!
Once a Runner, always a Runner

Well, at least the scene didn't include him being shot for running from security.
Only if he was black.

Great thing they cut that scene! Is awfull and completely out of place. The final one is the best, sweet and heart breaking.
I think it should be mentioned that the little boy in this scene, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, was 13 years old when he shot this.
Really? He looks 10 year old.
Ikr? In the maze runner he looks much younger than 24 :/
LadaBat He died last season in Game of Thrones. He was stabbed to death by a White Walker.
Um... Yeah? But that has nothing to do with what i said...
LadaBat He looked much younger than 23 in GOT.
I honestly find this so funny like😂I love this and Thomas is adorable in this awe❤️
OMG Thomas did those turns and flips perfectly. Also he was adorable when he was little.
Do you want to know why I have this limp Tommy? Did I ever tell you?

It's obvious the tricks are done by a stunt double ^^
Dont forget Game Of Thrones ^^
Your not the only one!!!
HELL YEAH!
Love how Sam and Joanne were still together in "Red nose day actually"
IF IT HAD BEEN ADDED, IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN MY EMOTIONAL FEELING OUT. THANKS GOD.
I am SO glad they cut it out, it looks HORRIBLE! I love the scene as it is, Thomas is the cutest kid ever, and this would ruin it so much.
I'd like to thank you guys for not using theses scenes.
1:54 how the hell did his legs get so long??? 0.o
Yeah, you know. Maybe stuntman did it hahaha
It‘s stuntman. After stuntman does it, Tomas jumps at the next scene
Does thomas jump the bars do you think?
ikr 0.o
I know right
That was amazing. A+ cinema.
❤❤❤I UNDERSTAND I WAS DELETED...BUT LOVE GIVES YOU WINGS AT TIMES ❤❤❤❤

OMG HE LOOKS SO CUTE IM SCREAMING....sorry fangirl moment here excuse me
He should've been the little boy who played in Home Alone.
MattAndWaltGaming well actually he was born that year it came out
No Macaulay Culkin was perfect! 😉
Mackuley was an adult and not British
@@lh9591 no Macaulay was only 10.

That freakin guy actually wanted this in the movie!?!?! WHATTT?!
Yep... Good thing they cut that. The seen was improbable enough as it was.
Newt should have been a Runner like Minho and Thomas
In the book it said he was a runner but he hurt his ankle
+A. Mulla He was before he was attacked by a "Griever" *grabs tissues*
+Ana Claudia Treviño what no he jumped from those bloody walls and he a limp
+Toychicashow I know I just didnt want to spoil anything
+Dogemen um...yeah. THATS what happened
OMG, IT'S SO FUNNY
But I'm glad they cut it... It's unreal...
he is so cute and handsome❤
GUYS...
WE'VE GOT A RUNNER😂❤❤❤❤❤❤
I realize that while we may see a boy on a quest for love, the "airport officers" see a potential terrorist who could endanger the lives of thousands.
It would’ve probably changed the tone they were going for if the kid was shot in the back by security.
It's one of my all time favourite movies and I've seen four scenes, that didn't make it to the final version. Although many ot them have received huge praise, I'm glad those were left out. But now I understand, why Emma Thompson called this movie "psychotic" and "out there".

Love the bar work 😂 Flip and cartwheels a bit much I’ve been doing gym for three years and am nowhere near as good as that!! ❤️❤️❤️
This is my favorite scene in the whole movie.
this scene will never be the same without all his ninja moves :/
I'm 16 but it's been like ten years I constantly fall in love again with Thomas Sangster whenever I watch Love Actually (when I was a kid I used to say it was my favorite movie just because I was in love with Sam ahah, he'll stay my first crush ever). GO UP, BALDY!
I really like it. Love Actually isn't even a very realistic film anyway so I don't see this as being out of place.
dat tenacity from Jojen Reed
He is my favorite character in this film.
UA-cam was like: “let’s pit this on her recommendation 6 years later!”
A runner since 2003. Omg i love him so much
This would have been too much. Having Billy Mack distract the guards was a better comedic payoff
Well, good this scene was deleted, it looks too ridiculous...
THE SONG IS SO GOOD THOUGH
The kid knows his was around the airport
Here from the Drawfee stream
These gymnasts scenes were just silly. The final cut was sooo much better.
And he wasted so much time on the uneven bars for unnecessary swings and flips
The boy who outran an entire army of security personnel. All hail Sir Thomas !
Jurassic Park 2: “We have the cringiest scene of a child doing gymnastics”
