For those who don’t know: James’(the owner of the channel) friend and brother were killed in a car crash accident that occurred yesterday. James was the driver of said crash, he is currently in critical condition. No this is not a bit, I am being 100% serious. Always been a huge fan of James and his passion for entertainment. My condolences to his family, rest in peace to his brother Patrick and his friend Chris.
Man he was the driver... I can't imagine how much guilt he might feel.

James’ gf posted to twitter that he’s alive and conscious, he can’t get onto twitter bc of his phone being in the wreck so he’s on his dad’s phone, but he has been reading some of the responses wishing him condolences and hoping he’s well.
Chris had a lover he was getting married to.
Patrick was a family member, and had friends too.
Both of them were taken too soon.
I’m hoping James has a recovery, and I don’t blame him for his future choices involving the channel
I feel terrible for not acknowledging what great roles both Chris and Patrick had for the existence of Schaffrillas Productions.

Man, I’m really gonna miss this channel, but if James shuts it down I wouldn’t question it for a second.
My heart goes out to the Phyrillas and Schaffer families right now. This is nothing less than a tragedy, and I can't even begin to imagine what their friends and families are feeling right now. Chris and Patrick, rest in peace with the knowledge that you brought so many people joy and comfort throughout the years, making them laugh, think, and feel a little less alone in the world. And James, please get well, and I mean that in every sense of the word - take the time you need to recover physically, mentally, and emotionally from this, and if that means taking a hiatus from or ending this channel, so be it. I know I speak for this entire community when I say that all we want is for you to be okay. You've helped me and so many other people get through some of their worst days with your videos, and so anything that we can do to help you through this (including giving you the space you need), we'll do it. According to James’s girlfriend, he is conscious. He spoke to her from his father’s phone. So thank goodness he is alive. Rest In Peace Chris and Patrick.

I never would have expected this to happen, but it just goes to show we never know what can happen and that everyday isn’t guaranteed. I hope James recovers from his injuries and that the families involved are given the proper time to grieve.

You have been the thing that has really improved me as a writer. The critiques that you give and the energy that you put into your videos has influenced me for a little over 2 years now. You are an amazing content creator, and you’ve been a massive influence on me for what seems like ages now. To hear this happen to you is nothing other than heartbreaking. Reanimated collabs have to be one of my favorite things on this website. It’s always so cool just seeing a bunch of different animators all coming together to make something. One of my favorite parts is when you see an animation style you recognize and having that “oh I know that person!” moment.

I found this channel when I was in an abusive relationship and at my absolute lowest. I watched so many videos and laughed the hardest I had in years because of how funny, creative, and smart these guys are. I was shocked to finally find some people who had a passion for animation (and Tomatoa) just as much as I did.
Now, I wish I could do what was done for me. I wish I could be there for you in such a terrible time and words can’t explain how sorry I am for your loss James. I looked forward to them after getting out of a suicide ward, and I have looked forward to them every week of recovery afterward.
