Twin tub travel washing machine.
This lightweight washer is ideal for caravans, motorhomes, small student flats and small accommodation where space is limited.
The two tubs, one for washing and one for spin drying are great for those trips away. The machine runs off mains 230v power and will take up to 3.5kg of washing and 2.5kg capacity for spinning. Thanks to the handle the washing machine is very portable

Just brought this machine today and i think its fab .i drain soapy water then fill fresh .rince .then put in spinner with bowl water and fabric softener. Clothes came out near dry and smelling lovely. I live in small sheltered housing. And we do have a wash and drying room but with covid19 i choose not to use that room for time being . King size duvet cover washed no problem. Thanks for your video
@Angela Winchester I bought this today, because my washing machine is in the shed (fairly common in older Irish houses)...BUT my fear of spiders is now so bad that I can't go in the shed - it's like arachnophobia in there 😂 I absolutely love the machine, but wish I'd watched this first...cos I forgot to do a rinse cycle 😱
Hi. If I may add.. Rinsing can be done in the washer itself, by doing the filling up, spinning and drain steps three times, and then the clothes can be transferred to the spin tub for drying. IMO No back and forth transfer required between the two tubs for rinsing,one final transfer is good enough. Thank you for the detailed demonstration.

Bought 1 of these about 3 weeks ago, a fantastic temporary machine. My full size washer died on a Saturday, overfull basket of clothes awaited. Bought it on Monday and got stuck in. Launderette is not an option. Anyone who has ever had to bend over a bath and wash and WRING a tub full of clothes would gratefully appreciate 1 of the machines. I shall happily continue to use it while I decide which full size machine to purchase. I use mine in the bathroom and fill from the showerhead and drain into a bucket. Try out Beko frontloaders they are good and they are quality some people even have their applainces from Beko for decades or years..
I've been anticipating this video for a while so thanks for uploading. I've got this exact same machine which I picked up secondhand for £50 on Schpock. I use it the same as you with liquid detergent, lights first then darks so I can re-use the wash water ( same way my mom did with her twin tub years ago ) I even add 5 drops of tea tree oil to the wash to kill germs and keep the machine mould free. I'm really impressed with the spinner on this. I laughed when you threw the fill hose as I too replaced mine. My machine is usually situated on two chairs in the kitchen and the water drains into a bucket, it's so quick to do a wash I don't even bother with my big machine anymore and I seem to get cleaner results while using less water and energy :)
If you have cats, be aware that tea tree oil is toxic to them. I'm a cat person so tea tree products are a no go in my house to keep my babies happy and healthy.

I hope you’ll be allowed to go somewhere in your caravan this year. I have a caravan and my first site booking has been postponed, but am keeping my fingers crossed for July.
These machines last about 1-2 years just keep this in mind. I have had many sometimes you can get a replacement by seller even if 1 month out with the warranty but not always. They are great machines wash clothes really good, but not great longevity. I am on my 5th machine but I use mine regularly in a small apartment. If not regular use you might be OK with both motors lasting, but one always burnts out I.e washer or spinner.
50 odd years ago my mother had a twin tub and it had a hole in the spinner lid to rinse at same time as spinning, your twin tub is crazy not having a lid with a hole in it, maybe you could drill one.. love your voice, relaxing.

Finally someone who gets it right - there are so many videos out there about this type of washing machine where users don't spin the clothes between rinses.
It seems that many people don't know how to do laundry anymore.
I remember how traditional full sized twin tubs were used by my grandparents and through Home Economics lessons at school. It's always best to spin the clothes before starting to rinse so that most of the soapy water is removed before adding the rinse water. My automatic washing machine spins after the wash and spins
in-between each rinse too. I've had people telling me that you should not spin the clothes before rinsing, but I'll continue to do it the way everyone did it before automatic washing machines became the norm.
@@ibaisaic It is only logical to remove as much of the dirty soapy water as possible from the laundry before rinsing, otherwise a mixture of dirt and soap will accumulate in the textile fibers over time.
I'm experiencing roughly the same effect in my environment with people with new washing machines who only use short programs + cold temperatures and after a while complain about the supposedly bad washing machine 🤷🏻 because the laundry smells unwashed and turns greyish.
My mum uses liquid detergent and washes at 30 all the time. Whenever I go to see her I run a 90 degree maintenance wash. I wash at least one load a week at 60 degrees and I’ve never had problems with a smelly washing machine or clothes.
@@ibaisaic Yes, I also find it tempting to only wash all my laundry at low temperatures (especially now that the electricity prices are going through the roof like a rocket - and everything is getting more and more expensive, inflation says hello) because I have 2- 3 loads of laundry every day, but I tried that for two weeks and no thanks.
Also, I don't want the washcloth someone in my family used to wash their rear end on my face if it was only washed at 30 degrees. I don't even mention the cleaning rags I used to clean the toilet that were not washed hot 🤢😄

I own one of these machines and really appreciated this video before I used it.
Following your recommendations I used it perfectly. I have a bathtub to drain into and an extra long extension lead to run it.
This machine has saved me so much money at the launderettes. It's £6 to wash and dry minimum so I only take my bedding there as I'm worried my double duvet cover won't fit into the spinner. The mattress protector does however, so maybe I will try it.
I live in a coastal area and spend a lot of time on the beach so lots of sand on clothes, just need to rinse the bottom of the machine once it has drained through before putting clothes on a rinse.
It is a bit more labour to use than a standard washing machine but the spinner impressively gets the clothes much dryer than my mum or sister's automatic washing machines. It's a bit of a chore atm since my shower is broken, so filling pots (the hose they send you is useless) but getting a bathroom tap hose tomorrow so laundry will be a breeze from now 😅
Highly recommend this machine, today I have done 5 loads (2 automatic machine loads) for less than £1 electric. I don't know how much water it has cost, but it's much more convenient and cheaper than using the launderette.
One thing to know about this machine is that it has a 3.5kg capacity in the washing section and 2.tkg in the spin. The extra kg on the wash side includes the water. Water weighs a lot more than you would think.
I have been doing large loads, and putting my clothes into the spinner in half, instead I should have been putting what can fit into the spinner in the machine.
Learnt from experience, belt working over time and burning rubber smell.

If you're having trouble with dye running, add a little white vinegar to the wash water, helps precipitate the dye back onto the fibres.
Ure a genius, cause I’ve always dreaded washing my favorite skirt because of the fabric running. Had to hand wash. Now I can put it with the dark clothes in my mini washer.

@@Jojodancer20100 I learned about using white vinegar when taking classes in spinning and dyeing fibres. Also, add to the rinse water, and any detergent or grease still on the fibres should come out. Keeps the machine fresh and reduces soap scum/lime scale build up.

Old bloke by myself so probably a stupid question but wouldn't it be easier to just to drain the wash water and subsequent rinses leaving the clothes in the tank rather than all the removal, spinning and reloading? May need an extra rinse but I'm guessing a lot quicker?? Thanks
The reloading removes lots of the soapy water so it needs less rinse time. You can also leave the clothes in the rinse/spin drum and add clean cold water directly on top alternating between spinning to dry and spinning with water to rinse as it all drains into the same reservoir tank. Hope this helps !

In terms of draining would it have to be higher than where you're draining the water into or could it be on level? For example, if you put it on the floor of the shower and just let it drain onto the floor and down the shower drain?

They work best in a bathtub or a shower unit. It is easier to use the bathroom sink to rinse after you spin wash water off. Add conditioner to main wash and it will stay on clothes after the rinse. I use non biological liquid detergent as it rinses off much easier, and works in easier to the main wash. Use a garden shower head to rinse the clothes in the spin drier and spin off a couple of times. Use garden tap connectors and garden hose (which can be bought cheaply). You can also final rinse in the spin drier and add conditioner in the centre (which will be spun out through the clothes). If the machine is not filled up right to the top with water, the wash motor will eventually burn out due to sticking or not enough water in the clothes. Don't underfill the spinner either with clothes for the same reason.

I’m glad to hear yours makes that noise because I thought mine was faulty. I didn’t do anything to stop it, it just comes and goes. I keep meaning to open it up and see what’s causing it because a larger twin tub I had didn’t make that noise when washing.

If you have power to the washer, the spinner lid is fully closed and you have turned the spinner timer on, then it should work. If it doesn’t, it’s probably a problem with the switch that prevents the spinner operating when the lid is open.

I use microfibre cloths to polish the aluminium fuel tank on my lorry. Do you think this machine would be suitable? The cloths are soiled black with polish after use and I plan on using some microfibre reviver chemical instead of normal detergent.

You needed to do a rinse cycle after the wash cycle before you spin them that way you get all of the soap out before you spin it.
Spinning the clothes after the wash and before the first rinse removes a lot of the soapy water so the subsequent rinses are more effective.

You need to make sure the end of the drain hose is lower than the washer as it doesn't have a pump.

The machine is draining normally while washing clothes, however when i move to dryer section there the water isn't draining out although the clothes are dried properly

No, do not press down. The spinner will nit work properly. You should also connect the hose while spinning to rinse the clothes and then remove the hose and just spin.

This one doesn’t sound too good I’ve heard others that were better built than this. Plus more water is always better than too little water, less strain on the motor.
I have twin tubs washing machines
You dont need to spin the clothes right after the wash cycle. just drain the wash tub; leave clothes in it; fill with cold rinse water and rinse them that way; then drain and transfer to spin bin. I had one of these for years; thats how i did it; less work; less time. and if u find u must spin and then rinse them back in the wash bin, u are using too much soap.
When twin tub washing machines were popular in the UK before automatics took over, it was common practice to spin the laundry before the first rinse. It makes perfect sense to me to extract as much of the soapy water by spinning before adding the rinse water.
I used to have one and I would spin soapy water out but I would then take out the clothes and put the hose in the spinner and rinse my clothes that way, gradually adding the clothes back in , 2 rinses then final one with fabric softener ,that way I could still use the water in the washer for rest of the washing. Whites always first etc.. the way I used to use a twin tub many moons ago

Yes it will wash a double duvet cover on its own, but you would need to wash the pillowcases and sheet separately.
