Zoom makes some good, affordable stuff! I'm currently using the MS60B+. It's not perfect but I love it!

Nice review. It sounded pretty good - particularly the DarkCrunch....plus a bonus of two great shirts: total Win

Four AA batteries provide greater amp-hour capacity than a single 9V battery. This results in a longer-lasting performance. Additionally, 9V batteries waste energy when operating at the lower voltages this unit uses. Consequently, for energy efficiency, AA batteries are a better choice. You can still plug a 9v in with a pigtail if you have extras lying around.

i,ve gigged with it for over 2 years , for the money it is fantastic and also if anything gets stolen its cheap to replace , and the sansamp patch is very good in ,MHO

I have a G1xFour that I hacked to be a B1xFour when I switched over to bass as my main instrument. Even better, someone's compressed a bunch of the effects so you can fit more on, and I could keep soem guitar stuff.
I'm honestly very impressed with it's Darkglass and SVT emulations. The quality of the effects goes up and down - a lot of them are only "okay" but there's some gems in there for sure.

Who cares about batteries if it can be powered by usb, which makes it being powered by power bank? Other than that I totally agree. I actually bough it with this intend - check what I want in the future. Plus, to have a very solid headphone amp powered by a power bank :)

I have been using ZOOM effects pedals since the 90s and I love them. They're oddly sturdy for being plastic. Are they the best on the market? Nah, but my old 506II still works great. I use it for practice and light gigging.

That sounds like the perfect environment for it! I'd agree with the oddly sturdy statement as well, it's weird but it's still a concern in my eyes.

My jam group practices through a mixer and PA, drummer plays on an E-kit, and I just bring my bass and signal chain(Tuner into Zoom, then into a Cube Baby Bass for cab emulation and compression, and out to my cheapo DI box for the ground lift). Only the lead guitarist brings an amp(cute lil Blackstar combo that we mic).

I use a valetrpn GP-100 for the same stuff. Built in audio interface is awesome, tuner & metronome (drum machine) is great, the metal case is good, effects + amp sim + and cab are all good enough, but no battery in the GP-100 is the only bummer. Also its idea for practice or demo track.

I have tinnitus as well. I hate it, and unfortunately, there is no cure. Is yours loud? Mine can be sometimes. I wear plugs for concerts, yardwork, and anything where I am exposed to loud noise.
