I'm a couple years younger than your dad. The Kenevo is safer for guys our age but I don't ride fast or challenge terrain anymore. If I transition to e-assist my main concern is weight if I have to pedal home due to a mechanical or the battery dies.

When the belt breaks it pedals pretty smooth

Creating myths where none exist . Long travel ,short travel , hardtail fully, 29 vs 27.5 , full knobby vs combo tires . 💤💤
if you are doing cross country on dirt roads and flow trails , none of those things matters unless you one of those people that is obsessed with splitting hair differences .

Fun video man. Look into front center rear center ratios. And a higher stack with a longer chain stay works better as more weight will naturally be on the front wheel. Vorsprung did a video on it years ago. If you want to get into the weeds I recommend Vorsprung, Rulezmans, and Astonmtb. Good luck learning out there’s so much that goes into bike geometry.

how and where do you calculate the correct front & rear centre ratios ?

@@liwx Rear center is bb back so chainstay length is your rear center. Then you can subtract that from wheel base as most manufacturers don’t tell you front center. Then you can divide that number by the rear center. Example being 440mm chainstay 1270mm wheelbase 1270-440= 830mm front center 830/440= 1.89 front center/rear center ratio. The lower this number the more weight will be on the front naturally the higher the less weight and the harder it will be to not wash the front in turns unless you lower the bars. I find a

@@OtterMTBtech Switch the chain stay flip chip to the low position. That made a Big differance to how the levo handles. At least for me it did. Also a 170mm fork.

Traditionally the knock against long travel bikes and rightly so is they suck on climbs , lately they have gotten better ... But ebikes Changed all that , so it's a non issue anymore 😊

What size fork you running on your kenevo? I left the dual crown on mine changed air sting to 200 and left the 27.5 on it. And works fine in tight corners!!! Was thinking of 190 and 29 set up?
