Es una de las grandes habilidades que tenía Puccini a la hora de orquestar, cuando suena un tema nuevo, es la orquesta la que lo expone, mientras que el cantante tan solo canta parte de ella, como si se montara en ella una vez arrancada. Puccini, el genio al que mucho le estaremos eternamente agradecidos por todas sus óperas.
Or at least a very high b flat...well no I think it is mostly a b, and not the b flat and not even a flat b but it isn´t that much a c, that it was supposed to be, or as Puccini intended it to be... Well, a b that isn´t that flat isn´t a shame nowadays. There are not many dramatic sopranos able to sing the high c! Maybe Rosa Raisa (the first Turandot) was rather more lyric than todays overdramatic sopranos?
