Hi, I followed your recipe n it was a smashing hit! Making sticky toffee pudding for d first time, I was not too hopeful. But d taste was out of this world. Thank u for that. Just wanted to ask abt d baking container. I used a glass rectangular container n it took a very very long time, much longer than wat was mentioned? Is this bcos of d type of baking pan that I used?
My all time favourite pudding must try with doublecream on top when pudding is hot bit expensive to buy 5 to 6 boxes when guests comes so thought about making my self
Only ate this twice in the uk, but that was enough to tell this was my favourite dessert ever. Too bad they don't sell em ready to eat here.

Hi Iv made the classic more times than I can remember, however Iv served it with Bailey’s ice cream, or with vanilla ice cream & put Bailey’s into pouring cream or creme friache go give it a try 😋😋😋😋

Yes you can! Best to store in the fridge long-term, but it should be fine for a day or so! Let me know how you like it :)

Hy Syed, I've never tried this recipe in a microwave so I'm afraid I can't advise you there! I'd recommend using an oven if you can :)

I'll add that to my list of requests! I'm not sure if marshmallows can be made without gelatin, but you could definitely substitute agar-agar! This is a delicious version and I have tried several. I found my cake was under baked in the middle and overbaked on the edges.. any tips?
So happy you liked it! probably your oven temperature is too high (sometimes the oven lies!) next time if the cake starts to brown cover it with a piece of foil and it should help :)
hi in the video you said that you needed 225 grams of dates, how many cups would that be? this looks absolutely amazing but I do have to ask, does soaking the cake in the sauce make it soggy
I wouldn't describe it as soggy, it's a 'pudding' by definition-- more like a super moist, tender cake.

Hi! You can try using mashed banana or yogurt (in place of the egg - 1/4 cup) but I can't guarantee the same results :/

hi vedika.. is the pudding supposed to be in the baking tray itself? or can be removed?
Hi Sayli! This pudding can be served in the baking tray (that's my preference), but you could make it as a cake using a springform pan and serve it that way too. If you want to remove it from the pan, I recommend drizzling the toffee sauce on later, after you've removed it. Makes it easier!
can I puree the dates with the coffee a bit before adding it to the batter?
Yes!
can I use a blender and blend the coffee and dates together to make a puree for the cake?

I tried making this pudding, the cake part turned out great! But when I made the toffee sauce the sugar became crystallized and didn't come properly even after trying twice. Can someone pls help
You need to reheat it if that happens, let it cool then reheat on low to melt!
Better served with Creme Anglais English 24 egg yolk custard, Baileys, Ice cream AND the sticky toffee sauce. If you are going to be naughty, do it properly!
