Having the I/0 accessible from the top is actually a really useful idea if they're kept the access user friendly. Also I'd love to see a "5000D" sized equivalent.
This thing is comparable in size to my Rosewill Thor V2 case which I removed my computer from and transplanted into a smaller MSI MPG Gungnir 111M. A couple of years later (three weeks ago at this time) I pulled it out of the Gungnir and RETURNED it to the Thor, then put brand new guts into the Gungnir to save on money. But in the future I can easily see myself going for this case or a descendant. I have to wonder where other gamers put their machines? I'm using a computer desk I assembled over 20 years ago and the computer cubby by my left leg is of a height that would make accessing top mounted front panels difficult without bending over and maybe grabbing a flashlight (that could also be due to my advanced age. GOD!!! I'll be 57 in a few weeks!!!), which is one of the major reasons I got the shorter Gungnir case. It's not as tight of a fit in the cubby. Anyway, great video. Take care.
It's a missing case file. the Police Academy is look for Hightower every where. but no luck for far 😞 They only know the Blue Oyster Bar. if only they knew about MUB HQ 😛 What a monster Pc case 😲 and a great review with many details 👍
No doubt the quality and flexibilty makes great value at that price. Humungus case which I presume is designed to house a powerhouse pc system that earns its keep. So much overkill for my pc demands lol Thanks Mike & Kath (& Thermaltake!) for such a throurough review 👍
One thing that's become apparent with this series is that they really didn't plan these cases out properly. Us C750 owners were essentially the guinea pigs and they improved things on the C700 and T500. :( Also sad to see they haven't fixed the opening for cables going to the back. If you're running say 6 USB cables, plus ethernet, it's rough, in addition to the sharp angle. that being said, I don't really get the point of this case other than maybe to undercut the 7000D in price, but aiming to target the 4000D would have probably been a better idea. The C750 already undercuts the 7000D
Great in-depth review Mike.Overall it exceptional value for money .The only downside for me is the sheer size of it.l think if it was smaller all round,it would be a stunning looking case.Thank you Mike and Kath for sharing 👏👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hey Mike nice video I really do like the look of this case and the price is even better will you be doing a part 2 where you can build in it live so we get a sense of how it looks with computer components?
I don't know why anyone would get this when the CTE C700 is the same price. I assumed this would be the cheapest in the range based on it being the lowest number. The CTE C700 has a much cleaner look with the dual chamber design (PSU and drives hidden behind motherboard) and better airflow intake at the bottom which is going to be optimal for a tower air cooler.
Love the size of this case Mike and its design, pity they didn't have this 2 years ago - i had to settle for a Phanteks Enthoo Pro Tempered Glass - Fulltowermodel. - about the same price here in the Netherlands . The Thermaltake Full Tower CTE T500 AIR is bigger and has more space - a Real man size case I like it a lot - Again mike you find another good bargain buy. Thanks
Like the CTE-750, it's nice to see all the fan rails are removable on the CTE-500. However I am not a big fan of the inner mounting slots blocking 1/3 of the fans air flow. Easily fixed with fans that have some extra back pressure push. The fans that come with this case are as good for handling back pressure, Arctic Cooling also makes a range of quiet back medium/high back pressure fans as well.
I'm so confused between pcie version & lanes and M.2 Nvme gens and lanes. The lanes here confuses me so much. Does that mean m.2 gen4 can have x4 lanes and x16 lanes?? Are you able to make video make video regarding this please?

While this may be the most in depth overview I've seen of this case, why has nobody actually reviewed it? Nothing about performance while using this case. Are they not letting people actually test the functionality of the case in these "reviews"?
for me it was a loner case so didn't have it long, but the performance is really going to come down to the parts you choose and specifically the fan setup, in terms of airflow there are pretty much no restrictions and it has the potential to move a LOT of air so don't worry about thermal performance it will almost be like an open chassis with all the open sections
you can come up with new ideas but too many ideas do mean a plus of problems. and we already got enough problems by going for the task to get effective performance out of our fucked up typically american pc garbage machines right. keep ideas simple but effective Tt. there s no use of this, you know it.
Awesome stuff! This is actually the only actual review of this case on YT! Nice one Mike! :)
Wow, thanks!

A very nice looking case and very well built with much in the way of adapting to the end users build requirements.
That is a super monster case, fortunately HDMI or DP graphics connectors and cables will take the 90 degree turn better than VGA or DVI would
Yeah that is true too io is a bit mad
Big case, interresting design, and as Matthew said, the bend the cable has to make worry me a little...🤔
Awesome looking case 🥰👍💪🤩. Mike looks like Mini Mike next to it 😅😂🤣
Haha yes I know it really is quite impressive
Also the first thing I would do is remove all the mesh filters to increase cooling an airflow.
easy thing to do
*Great video, currently looking for a new case for a new build but not something as big as this!*
I look forward to seeing a build video for this case
sadly didn't get to keep this one, to be honest i don't have the room for it. But the C700 is due and there will be a full build in that
Hi, Mike. Awesome case, but I still have my eye on the CTE 750 Air.
That is a whopper

thanks dude
Platform for a powerful PC or workstation build. Probably cheap, considering a PSU for one of those would cost more than the case.

is there a CTE T700? not seen that one you mean the CTE C700 i expect, that is about 20-30 more expensive here at the moment but also a great choice
@@mikesunboxing The Air Black model (non-RGB) is £129.98 at Scan so exactly the same price.
Thanks for the video.
thanks for watching

I agree with you
Thanks, mate! Very helpful video.
Glad it helped!
I’m currently suffering from case envy
Lmao same even though I upgraded to a 5000x a few months ago lmao
Thank you Sir!!
Most welcome!

Looks like a good one (video).

Very nice
Thanks
do you sell used components?
yes on the discord and facebook marketplace for full systems
No way do I want any of my exterior cables coming out the top.
Sorry but you can fit up to a 420mm aio in the front not just a 240mm
yes 420 aio is the biggest up front
Did you get to build in this case??
No sorry I didn’t

not seen that one, i'll take a look
its a lot of case
Rather Large.

i think you might have a point here, i'm not totally onboard with the CTE or 90 degree rotation
