In this video we are testing in two cases, The Thermaltake CTE T500 Air Snow to represent CTE technology, and the Thermaltake V350 AIR to stand in for the regular ATX form factor.
We are using the exact some components the same fans and settings between the two form factors and testing to see what the performance or quality of life enhancements are, and is it worth the money?

Great education video. Some might see CTE as a fad and others may see it as an alternative to other more traditional setups. Horses for courses, do whatever you see fit for your build. Certainly eliminates GPU sag !!!

Great looking system you have modded up there Mike. Not scientific but personally Id add more fans at the back even if they are doing very little work just to add more balance to the sight line.

Hi, Mike. That's a beautiful case. A bit small, compared to CTE C750 Air. LOL. I think I'll install nine 140mm fans. I think that should help keep the heat down.
there gets to be a point where adding more fans is cosmetic only, kitguru did some tests and was interesting results
@@mikesunboxing True. But I build more for aesthetics than performance. Almost no one needs an expensive custom loop, but I love the look of it more than the amount of cooling it provides. And now that you mentioned Kitgure, I haven't seen Leo for a while. I bet YT unsubscribed them. I need to check, because they're always doing that.
So funny ... Blk n white screen the yellow in nxt blue 🤣 I do like this idea of CTE plus saves back ache plugging cables and usb drives in mb io! My only concern is hanging all the weight of big gpu on its end plate! Nice case, nice fans imo. Thanks Mike and Kath 🐈👍

Not my kind of case but I might need to find another case now that I have 4 motherboards 2 cpus which means I have to buy two more cpus! I think an i7 and an i9 which I might pair with my 760 and 790-a boards both from msi the other two boards are the 660 gaming plus from asus and the other msi mortar max all wifi by the way. Just need ddr5 ram for the 790-a which will hold 128 gig of ram when I’m ready to buy them!
running a cte700 love the rotation quiet fans provided by Bequiet, Thermaltake fans were noisy. Cable running needs longer cables for keyboard mouse and graphics card. Will build again with a CTE case

@@bobnugget3345 I'm not really sure to be honest. These cases are new to me also. There are lots of videos on those cases on UA-cam that could help you to better decide. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

the ct120 or ct140 fans are good if you limit the rpms. otherwise the bequiet noctua or arctic fans are also worth a look. If money is not a problem the swafan ex120 argb are sweet

i don't think you need to it is just there if you have a 7800X3D chip

I did this with a sahara case i had wall mounted by standing it on its front so the 3 big 140s were intaking at the bottom. Worked well for the gpu, no sag issues.

Had no choice, two hidden shelf brackets, the real bottom raised foot locations were fouling the brackets, tipped Onto front and perfect. Realised later 5 degrees cooler CPU/GPU/RAM, but the lack of any chance of sag was the big one.
Eventually made me go to opentestbench

@@mikesunboxingI went out & bought that case after watching your review on it 👍. The Corsair Crystal 280X I had at the time was cooking my HDD's (ITX motherboard & High end GPU with vertical fin-stack blowing most of its heat into the other chamber 😱) that case looks fantastic but so many flaws & it's expensive 🫰. So the Brufen isn't perfect as they should have mounted the motherboard stand-offs lower so you can get a 240 rad/fans in the top - but it's great for cooling & just pop open the glass door whilst gaming if the GPU needs more air (my 3080TI horizontal mount mod). 👍
Any innovation in pc design is a positive! We've been doing the same thing with ATX since the 90s!
