Yeh the clear blue skies and the autumn colours are ace. There is a bit in this video where I nearly go straight on as a guy turns right as I couldnt seen the yellow tape against the scenery 🤣🤣 A lovely place to race bikes that's for sure 👌
It was amazing that he lent me a bike. The course was mega. It had it all. But not a bit of mud in sight that suited me alot better. It was amazing fun and the atmosphere was ace, lots of music and drinking going on 👌
Looks like a blast! And so kind of Jason to loan you a bike. That's one thing I love about the fitness community in general, most people are willing to help and support others when needed like this. Love it.
Agree. The fact that somebody was willing to loan a stranger a bike was amazing. It was great to meet up with him and his family and they looked after me on race day, sorting the bike out, showing me the course and showing Jenna the best places to support. I am very grateful to them. Let's hope they come to England and I can repay the favour.
Yeh it was a bit of a commute to this one 🤣🤣 I'd do it again to race on a non muddy course. 👌 Was a great course. Next race will be back in the mudfest of the UK 🙈
Don't worry I was knackered riding it 🤣🤣 Super friendly event and all the guys I raced with were great. Made sure to stay out of there way for them to race fairly. Have to see if I can find another race the next time we are in the US.
This bit of land was nestled between a school and some industrial buildings but apart from that it was very nice. They have designated this bit of land to cyclocross racing so it's a permanent place for people to go and ride on, that's so cool 👌
Jason is an absolute legend. As non cyclists what would make you watch cycling content? Do you think I should do my challenge type videos? Wanna try and appeal to non cyclists aswell as cyclists 🤔
@@SwimBikeRunStu I normally tend to click on the short cut style videos but I guess I'm in the tick tock demographic, I am also subbed to berm peak so anything in that style of video I guess 🎉😊 yours are always interesting though 🙌🎉
It was a great course. There was races across 2 days but I could only make the 1 day and the 1 race. Wish I could have raced again in the afternoon as I had started to get a feel for the course.
Stu, I meant to ask, but forgot earlier. The video stabilization is amazing on the bike. I would love any insight you’re willing to share on what you do, both in camera and in post, to get it so smooth.
I just use an old go pro hero 8. I have never played around with the settings. I just turn it on and shoot. But agree the stability is amazing on it. I use it more than the go pro hero 10 to be honest as it's a bit smaller.
@@SwimBikeRunStu That's awesome honestly. Love when the camera just does what it's supposed to haha. Maybe we will look into getting an 8 next time we are in the market. We currently use a gopro 9 and 10.
We're lucky to have several great races in central Iowa. Glad you could make it!
Yeh, seem to have a great cross scene. Love that. Hopefully make another race when we come back over from the UK.
I can’t stop looking at the weather, scenery and autumn colours. It looks amazing there. 😃

Now that's commitment, travelling 4000 miles for a race vlog! Looked like a fun course, nice one

Brilliant video, especially some of those POV shots 👏👍. Feel knackered just watching it tho 😂

Awesome video, course looks amazing. Seemed like great fun
The course was amazing. Very grateful to be able to race 4500 miles from home 👌 Hopefully get another one in the next time we are over.
Great vid, Looked very picturesque and a lot of fun.

Great vid Stu, looked good fun. Loved the Halloween décor too, have a good rest of your stay in Iowa!
Thanks dude. Yeh there was some effort in setting that course up. Fair play to them. We are enjoying our stay but it's always hard to come back home 🙈
@@SwimBikeRunStu Yeah really well organised. The worst bit of a holiday is the travel back 😆
We really enjoyed that, great how they could lend you a bike 🚲🚲

Awesome that it worked out for you!
Thank you. Yeh me to. So lucky that I could borrow a bike and race. Was a great experience and I'd like to have another go when we visit again 👌
Looked like a good course tip top vlog bud
